Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson, a well-known industry leader, claims that the next Doom game will be unveiled very soon at the Xbox Games Showcase.
On June 9th, the showcase will be live streamed and a Call of Duty Black Ops 6 direct will come right after. The game is expected to be the first new multi-platform release since Xbox’s much-rumored change in release strategy. It will reportedly launch on the PS5 on the same day as the Xbox release.

Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson has another scoop for the upcoming Xbox Summer Showcase. This time about two games that are already confirmed to be released later in 2024 – Avowed and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
These two games will have a proper focus on the 10th of June, one day after the Summer Showcase on June 9th.
Why Are Avowed and Indiana Jones Skipping the Xbox Showcase?
Xbox and MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was originally announced in January 2021.
Although none of the games for the showcase are 100% confirmed by Xbox, this is likely due to it being a massive showcase – the first one to include all of Xbox, Bethesda, and Activision Blizzard at the same time. Maybe this is just the idea to focus more on the unannounced games or games without a trailer at all.

It’s a known fact that Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty (CoD) series is one of the best Fps franchises in the gaming landscape. Although it’s been two decades since its inception, the CoD series brings a first-person perspective of immersive storytelling, intense military conflicts, and flawless multiplayer that only a few franchises can match.
While many believe CoD‘s gameplay has revolutionized shooter games, a few hold the opposite opinion. Tripwire Interactive’s founder, John Gibson, who created games such as Killing Floor and Red Orchestra 2, once ruthlessly claimed that Call of Duty has “ruined a generation of shooter players.”

Ghost of Tsushima was the perfect swan song for the PlayStation 4 generation and the gaming community couldn’t get enough and even campaigned for it to win Game of the Year. However, the competition was fierce, and it may not have won the title, but it won the hearts of fans.

Mullet Madjack is what you get when you combine Kung Fury with Crank and set it against a 1980s anime backdrop. Playing like a combination of a roguelike Hotline Miami meets classic Doom, the game is fast, frenetic, and brutal. If you could somehow infuse the feeling of cocaine and 80s excess into a cyberpunk video game, it would look a lot like Mullet Madjack.
HAMMER95, the small team of Brazilian developers that conceived and developed Mullet MadJack should be very proud of the piece of Fps sensory overload that they have created, even if it isn’t perfect in every aspect. Choosing to lean into the inherent cheese and gimmicky nature of the era that the game is inspired by was definitely the right call.
Mullet Madjack releases for PC on May 15 2024.
The opening cutscene immediately displays the impeccable level of presentation that is consistent throughout the entire game.

Another day, another discussion surrounding Xbox. What started as an odd decision to bring exclusive titles onto its direct competitor’s platform turned into a full-blown Fallout with the shuttering of three prominent game studios and folding one into Zenimax Online.
Right now, no one understands just what the company’s strategy is. One can only surmise, after all, and for now, people are surmising that Xbox may just be banking on Doom and the Scourge of Hell to bring the organization back from the underworld during the Xbox Summer Showcase.

Whether it’s the early 2000s or Josh Trank’s 2015 reboot, the live-action adaptation of Marvel’s first family, Fantastic Four, has always left fans disappointed. Despite boasting a prolific cast as Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan, the 2015 reboot was highly criticized for its approach towards the story and the depiction of the characters, earning it a spot among the worst superhero films of all time.

Darth Vader Wasn’t the Only Star Wars Character That Was Inspired by One of the Best Marvel Villains
Apart from real-life events and people, it is no secret that the huge world of fictional characters and stories often ends up being the inspiration behind other fictional worlds and characters. Whether the creators acknowledge it or not, several similarities can be found among different fictional characters from different fantasy worlds.
While the similarities do not diminish the fame and love for the characters, the similarities, whether intentional or not, establish a special connection between them.

Talk about a quick turnaround. After announcing last month Po’ed: Definitive Edition, Nightdive Studios has revealed that the remake of the 1995 first-person shooter will arrive on May 16 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
Inspired by the original Doom (as were many first-person shooters at the time), Po’ed was originally released for the 3Do. You play as Ox, the cook of the military starship U.S.S. Pompous. The ship has been captured by aliens, which have killed all of the crew. You’re a little mad about this, so you grab your frying pan and jetpack to clean house against “16 of the baddest, maddest and most unattractive monsters in the galaxy,” ranging from rock-throwing ogres, plasma-shooting robots to walking butts.
You’ll be jetting your way through 25 3D environments, armed with a vast arsenal of weapons, including the Power Drill and the Meat Seeker.

Xbox’s recent closing of Arkane Austin, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, and Roundhouse studios is yet the strangest episode in this season of what Microsoft’s gaming division is supposed to do. From one bad decision to one mismanaged announcement to yet another bad decision, these closures are sure to leave a permanent stain on Xbox’s long and patchy history.
Here’s the sad part, though. We already have a date to pay tribute to the fallen studios, which will also mark the end of a much-beloved game’s life.
August 7th Marks the End of Mighty Doom and Maybe Xbox’s Era of Poor Decisions Mighty Doom is now the latest casualty of Xbox’s recent shuttering of its 4 studios
Being a studio at Xbox today is presumably analogous to playing through Elden Ring‘s endgame with base stats while your two friends relax and play a farming sim in the background.

We all know who achieved the goal of the Fellowship of the Ring, nevertheless, it’s curious to imagine who could also destroy the most powerful thing in Middle-earth.
9. Boromir
All fans can agree that the prince of Gondor was the weakest one in the Fellowship, doubting its mission from the very beginning at the Council of Elrond, so that he’d be easily overtaken by the Ring’s power and wouldn’t complete the serious mission.
7-8. Merry & Pippin
The two hobbits are similar in this respect, as they both hadn’t got a clue for what they signed up for, having literally no fighting and traveling experience, and being childishly naive and not so serious as other fellow hobbits.
6. Legolas
Calm and experienced elf could be a great contender to carry the Ring, but it’s known that his race is not so immune to the Ring’s lure.

MCU adapted over 50 villains from the pages of comics at this point. Some have been disappointments like Dar-Benn, and some were brilliantly executed like the last year’s High Evolutionary. Still, there’s plenty to introduce.
While we’re waiting for the Beyonder and Doctor Doom, fans on Ranker took on the opportunity to explore the pages of comics to vote on 10 Marvel villains that are either too grotesque or messed up to be introduced to the MCU, so let’s see what the names are.
10. Demogoblin
Demogoblin hails from Spider-Man’s rouge gallery. He is a twisted version of the villain Green Goblin, having been transformed into a demonic creature after making a pact with a demon. Demogoblin possesses superhuman strength, agility, and endurance, along with the ability to generate and control mystical fire. He’s not overly scary all things considered but I do see why fans prefer...

One of the most common elements that can be observed across nearly all video game titles that came out in the past few decades is how they feature online multiplayer, allowing players to play with their friends and meet new people online while playing the game they love.
Rockstar failed to provide enough support for their Red Dead Redemption 2
Unfortunately, for fans of Red Dead Redemption 2, the online experience was underwhelming, to say the least. The studio responsible for developing the franchise, Rockstar, essentially refused to keep the multiplayer updated and adjusted to what the player base needed at the time, causing the same to be criticized by many.
Why Red Dead Redemption 3 Gives Rockstar a Chance At Redeeming Themselves
What would come as a surprise to many fans is how Rdr 2 was actually able to win the Labor of Love award at the recent Steam Awards 2023. For those who might not know,...

Given their close-knit relationship as global entertainment industries, gaming and the movies have long had a symbiotic connection. Movie tie-in games, for instance, have been a popular feature in gaming for decades, with numerous short-form releases over the years attempting to distil linear, cinematic storylines into interactive ones — albeit with varying success.
A Brief History of Gaming and the Movies
Of course, it’s not been uncommon over the years for studios to churn out poor quality movie-tie in titles that barely represent the characters and narratives we’ve fallen for on the big screen. However, there have been some outright successes and unexpected releases in alternative gaming genres.
In addition to being video game franchises, movies have even inspired online casino games and plenty of other activities throughout the iGaming sector. IP such as King Kong, Jurassic Park and even The Lord of The Rings have all been transformed...

Kevin Feige was part of the infamous Marvel Creative Committee (McC) in the early stages of the MCU and played a crucial role in preventing the committee from ruining Captain America. According to reports, Feige and Louis D’Esposito vehemently opposed the committee’s idea to set the character in modern times. There were screaming matches during meetings of the McC, with Feige emerging successful and giving us the period piece, Captain America: The First Avenger.

Live-action adaptations of famous video game series are often something producers use to give a fresh feeling to the franchise. Unfortunately, these adaptations haven’t particularly been successful, and that is due to many different causes, one of them being the choice of cast.
Disappointment is a recurring term when it comes to adaptations of video games into a movie or a series, and it becomes even more saddening when it features a cast of renowned actors such as Dwayne Johnson. Following are some of the movies that the actor has done but ultimately let down the watchers.

Ever since 2008’s Iron Man release, MCU, with its box-office collection, became the most popular superhero franchise. But for them, 2023 was a disastrous year.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
The first was in February with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The $200 million-priced film earned only $464 million in the worldwide market. The Marvels, starring Brie Larson, also went through the same phase as it roughly touched the $200 million mark globally and became the lowest-grossing installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The only good news for the studio was the May release of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3, starring Chris Pratt, which grossed $845 million at the global market.

No release date has been announced for the remaster, which will arrive for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

As Marvel Studios continues to run damage control on its cinematic universe after the court’s conviction of Jonathan Majors for assault charges, fans wonder what’s become of his pivotal villain character, Kang, in the MCU’s roadmap to re-establishing itself as a box office behemoth in the film industry. With Majors becoming box office poison, Marvel has little choice but to recast him as the Big Bad of the MCU’s current phase of cinematic spectacles. Reports about Marvel replacing Kang as the MCU’s overarching villain continue circulating.
