Leatherface is all set to kill a couple in the woods, but things don't go as planned in this hilarious short. Kevin Van Hentenryck of "Basket Case" and "Brain Damage" fame gives a great performance as Leatherface. Hopefully it won't be twelve more years before he graces the screen with his presence again. J.R. Havlan and Matt Unger know about the funny very much. Give these guys a bigger budget.Plus I wouldn't mind seeing much more of Genevieve Hannon in the future, if you know what I mean, and I think you do. heh heh heh. So go see this film if you get a chance. If you're a horror fan you'll love it.

Hilarious horror comedy short

Warning: Spoilers
A chainsaw-wielding maniac (an excellent performance by Kevin Van Hentenryck of "Basket Case" fame) embarks on an unexpected odyssey of self-discovery after his plan to kill a young couple camping in the woods goes awry. Writers/directors Matt Unger and J.R. Havian have a wickedly witty ball blithely poking fun at slasher film clichés (for example, the psycho's chainsaw runs out of gas just as he's about to butcher the young couple!). Moreover, Unger and Havian make breathtaking use of the gorgeous rural scenery. The killer's fumbling attempts at bonding with various folks he encounters are both cute and amusing; it's also a riot to see no one have any trouble whatsoever with the fact that the wacko is wearing a bloody apron and a mask made out of human skin. Kevin's adorable daughter Gracesa appears as a sweet little girl selling apple cider on the side of the road. Alan Heins and Kristianna Martindale contribute lively turns as a ridiculously cheerful couple having a yard sale on the lawn of their house. Kudos are also in order for Zack Resnicoff's stunning cinematography and the harmonic country-folk score by Jim Keyes and Sila Cevikce. Great ironic ending, too. An absolute riot.
