Who in their right mind goes fishing in the ocean with a dingy with a ridiculously small outboard, obviously people from california do it to get rescued by lifeguards ... what fun that must be ... and there is no ocean pier at daytona beach ...seriously the writers for this show ran out of suitable material years ago ... now its showing scenes from years ago like that underwater shot of the stones on the bottom seen in every rescue when the lifeguard has dive search ... just pitiful

At the end of the episode, Skylar never replies to J. D.'s question about starting a friendship. Did she say no? Possibly. Remember that J. D. did not appear in the following episode Memorial Day, and that episode was Skylar's last appearance. There should have been much better writing for the characters and their development not only for those episodes, but also for the rest of Season 8. For instance, was Skylar content with singleness? Did she want kids someday like Shauni and C. J. did? Was she more comfortable forming friendships with only women?
