While most of us are familiar with "Hey Arnold" thanks to the classic Nicktoon show the main character from that series previously appeared in three claymation shorts done by his creator, Craig Barlett, in which Arnold appears as a daydreamer who uses his active imagination to deal with boredom.
Despite the many differences these three early shorts had with the series, I found each one of them to be very charming, having a whimsical portrayal of Arnold's imagination, which in some ways reminded me of my own childhood. Is also interesting to notice how Harold and Helga were part of the "Hey Arnold" world from the very beginning.
"Arnold Escapes from Church", "The Arnold Waltz" and "Arnold Rides His Chair" were a neat beginning for one of the best Nicktoons from the nineties. Too bad Nickelodeon doesn't have shows like that anymore
