I find history interesting and especially Egyptian history. :The Greatest Pharaohs" is a 1997 American educational documentary film about Ancient Egypt distributed by A&E and narrated by Frank Langella with commentary by experts in the field.
As with most A&E Biographies, they put they emphasize certain aspects of each dynasty and ignore others; however, this is a pretty good overview and a good place to start. I have two problems; One is getting the Pharaohs out of order and the other is getting facts mixed up with movies. This series clears most of that up. What a shocker to find Cleopatra to be different than the one in these versions:
Cleopatra (1934) Claudette Colbert
Cleopatra (1963) Elizabeth Taylor
Cleopatra (1999) Leonor Varela
There is an earlier version but I do not think it is commercially available.
Prepare to watch them all at once as they are addicting.
