The veteran artiste shared that unlike many songs where the melody is created first and the lyricists are asked to write to the tune, he was requested by music composer Pritam to write the lyrics first for the tune that he would compose later in the creative process.
The makers of ‘Dunki’ released ‘Dunki Drop 3’ in the form of ‘Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se’ crooned beautifully by another veteran Sonu Nigam. The senior lyricist and Sonu have earlier collaborated on ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ from ‘Border’ which had similar elements in its structure of yearning and nostalgia.

Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal’s much anticipated biopic’s new song ‘Banda’ is the perfect tribute to not just the legendary Sam Manekshaw, but also soldiers of the Indian Army. Sung by musical maestro Shankar Mahadevan, the song fully harbours the spirit of military decorum, mixing it with Bollywood flair.
Shankar Mahadevan’s own singing needs little mention at this point because it constantly reminds you of his brilliant performance in the title track of ‘Lakshya’, something with which ‘Banda’ shares many similarities.
The song has the rock signature while also being composed in a very traditional Bollywood style fashion, though much of the instrumentation and the high passion also oddly enough has a military decorum to it, which is really something very original.
Composed by the dynamic and acclaimed Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the music is fully suited to Shankar’s own voice and it does full justice. The production is also...

Plenty of war films made in the Hindi language always cater to the jingoistic narrative. Most of them would include a plot that involves sheer hatred for a certain neighboring nation. Though the enmity between the two nations was at its peak during all the major wars, the filmmakers approached this subject matter by emphasizing nationalistic tropes and refusing to dial down the noise. They also do not focus enough on screenplay, direction, or other technical aspects.
Raazi, Border, Shershaah, Lakshya, and Uri: The Surgical Strike are a handful of films that did justice to war drama as a genre. Pippa belongs to the same category as well. This period war drama directed by Raja Krishna Menon was released straight on Amazon Prime Video on November 10, 2023, and is based on the book The Burning Chaffees: A Soldier’s First-Hand Account of the 1971 War by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta.

Post-credits scenes are a staple of the McU, so it’s only natural that Marvel’s Avengers caps off it’s campaign with a teaser of its own. 2016’s first big release is Bejoy Nambiar’s Wazir starring Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akthar in principle roles where the story centres around the idea of a chess game, its rules, its pieces, the relationships and most importantly the idea of winning and losing.
Having directed Bachchan in his 2004 release Lakshya, Wazir sees Akthar and Bachchan share the silver screen for the first time. This is something I am aware that a lot of people have been waiting for and I count myself as one of them. The question is does Nambiar’s directorial offering live up to the expectation of so many?
Without giving too much away, Wazir sees Akthar cast as Danish Ali, a grieving officer, married to Ruhana played by Aditi Rao Hydari. Their relationship is affected by a moment of recklessness for which Hydari blames Akthar. It is following this incident that the rest of the...

While Farhan Akhtar has proved his mettle in various arenas (director, writer, producer, singer, lyricist and a great actor), yet we expect the versatile star to amaze us with yet another venture.
Though he has churned out few but great films like Dil Chahta Hai, Lakshya, Don series as director, we want Farhan to yet again don the director's hat. Nevertheless, this time around Farhan can take women-centric subject in hand, which is quite a trend in the industry these days.
Recently we saw a spate of female-oriented films like Piku, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Mary Kom, Kahani, Queen, NH10 and many others being made. They not only did well at the box office but even impressed the audiences. So, it would be great rather a refreshing experience for the audience to see him doing a women-centric film.

Remember the #BangBangDare article we brought to you a few days ago? Well, Hrithik challenged Ranveer with a very specific dare, and it takes guts for a Bollywood actor such as Ranveer to complete quite an unusual challenge, even though it’s something which happens a lot in movies.
Hrithik Roshan dared Ranveer to get out of his car and pose in the middle of any main street of Mumbai for his fans. But Ranveer, known for his spontaneity and high spirit, came up with a crazier idea to make this #BangBangDare unique!
The actor, who will be seen in Yrf’s Kill Dil in November, decided to dance in the middle of a very busy street and in front of a quickly growing crowd to pay tribute to Hrithik Roshan, who he is very fond of.

After Lakshya, Amitabh Bachchan will be teaming up with Farhan Akhtar once again for their next but this time around, unlike their previous venture, Farhan will be seen sharing screen space with the legendary star. The film in question has been titled Do and the film will also have Aditi Rao Hydari playing the female lead.
Prior to this, it was Kareena Kapoor who was approached for the role. In fact, then, Farhan Akhtar was supposedly doing yet another film with Kareena which was Dev Benegal's Bombay Samurai. However, it seems that the deal did not work out and later, Aditi's name was announced as the leading lady. While Aditi Rao Hydari has worked with Abhishek Bachchan previously in Delhi 6, this will be the first time that she will be sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar.

Hansal has been desirous of taking the story to a larger screen and audience ever since Lakshya couldn't get the audience it deserved. Recently, Imtiaz Ali had converted his tele-film Highway (starring Aditya Shrivastava and Kartika Rane) into a feature film featuring Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt. Alas,...
