[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the June 3 episode of Jeopardy!] It was a close game throughout most of the June 3 episode of Jeopardy!, though by the time Final Jeopardy came, it was a runaway for one of the players. Adriana Harmeyer, an archivist from West Lafayette, Indiana, returned with a three-day total of $71,600 to face off against Carol Ritchey, a retired letter carrier from Eastpointe, Michigan, and Matthew Kahn, an It docketing assistant from San Diego, California. And by the end of it, Harmeyer had added to her total and was a four-day winner. But it wasn’t easy. The three competitors seemed evenly matched, with their scores throughout the Jeopardy! round close; Carol did lead at the first break and at the end of the round, but there was only a $400 then $2700 difference between her and the third place scores. Then, in the Double Jeopardy! round, it was an incorrect answer on the last Daily Double of ...

Jeopardy! fans are eager to see host Ken Jennings show his skills on Dancing with the Stars.
As DWTS Season 33 approaches, various cast rumors are swirling about which dancers and celebrities will appear.
Jennings initially appeared on Jeopardy! as one of the most successful contestants before becoming one of the show’s hosts several years ago.
He’s since gone on to fill the famous shoes of the late Alex Trebek, receiving an Emmy nomination for his work.
However, trying his dancing skills on the ballroom floor might require him to step out of his comfort zone and put on shoes he’s not used to. It’s something fellow game show host Drew Carey from The Price Is Right has done.
Jennings recently addressed whether he would appear on DWTS and Jeopardy! fans seem to support his joining the cast.

Did Furiosa’s Poor Box Office Performance Get Another Mad Mad Movie Shelved? (Photo Credit – IMDb)
After a surprisingly bad debut at the box office, George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga might have just ruined the chances of any other Mad Max sequels or prequels. As George Miller wrote Fury Road, he also worked on developing Furiosa and The Wastelands. But given the box office performance of Furiosa, it might have put a halt to the next Mad Max movie.
Forty-five years after George Miller introduced audiences to Mad Max, the auteur may have finally reached the end of the road through the postapocalyptic wasteland unless he can find redemption with his Mad Max films.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the highly regarded director’s film, opened to a poor $32 million domestically over the four-day Memorial Day weekend and $36.5 million internationally. This set back expectations for Mad Max: The Wasteland,...

Jeopardy! has itself a new champion after Wednesday night (May 29), but it came at the expense of another contestant who fell into the trap of a “brutal” Daily Double clue. On Wednesday’s episode, one-day champion Abby Mann, a digital scholarship librarian from Normal, Illinois, returned to the Alex Trebek Stage to take on Adriana Harmeyer, an archivist from West Lafayette, Indiana, and Brian O’Shea, a gifted specialist & teacher from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The game started pretty tight in the Jeopardy round, with the scores relatively close heading into Double Jeopardy. Mann led with $4,800, O’Shea followed closely with $4,600, and Harmeyer trailed with $3,800. Things changed in Double Jeopardy, especially thanks to the two Daily Doubles. Harmeyer landed the first Daily Double, bumping up her total by $4,000 and giving her a solid lead. Meanwhile, O’Shea found the second Daily Double but ended up losing $6,000 after falling for some tricky wording. Under the “White House Weddings” category,...

Ken Jennings is usually lenient when it comes to his role as Jeopardy! host, but he isn’t afraid to get mean and throw some shade when the situation calls for it. On the latest episode of the Inside Jeopardy! podcast, hosts Sarah Whitcomb Foss and Buzzy Cohen played a clip from an off-air segment where a member of the studio audience asked Jennings what happens when a contestant doesn’t answer in the form of a question. “Oh, boy. Do you know what hanging, drawing, and quartering is?” Jennings quipped. The host went on to say that he gets progressively meaner throughout the episode if a contestant continues to mess up that key Jeopardy! rule. He explained, “The rules are actually different in the first and second rounds. In the first round, I get to remind them very sternly. I say, ‘Yes, but please remember your phrases.'” “In the second round,...

A Jeopardy four-day champ’s reign is over after a big final bet didn’t pay off. The player bet so highly, he ended his fifth game with just $1. Playing in the May 28, 2024 game was returning champ Amar Kakirde, a graduate student from Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey, with a total winnings of $55,899; Abby Mann, a digital scholarship librarian from Normal, Illinois; and Steve Miller, a retired medical transcriptionist from Eugene, Oregon. Miller staged an impressive comeback throughout the game, bringing himself back from -200 at the first break to a first-place lead heading into Final Jeopardy. This was made possible in part by two successful Daily Double answers, but just like Kakirde, Miller was foiled by a risky wager in the final round. Mann was in third place for most of the game, but she proved to have made the best bet of the night when gambling only $3,000 on the “European Scientists” Final Jeopardy clue.

Jeopardy! fans have been getting tired of bad gameplay lately. However, after this past week’s shows, they have another reason to complain. An answer given by defending champion Amar Kakirde was wrong, and Ken Jennings called it wrong. However, production reversed the decision during the commercial break.
Here is what fans had to say about the changing of the result to what was considered a “wrong answer.”
Fans Angry That Amar Kakirde Got Call Reversed
Amar Kakirde has been the most recent Jeopardy! champion, but one of his answers has caused controversy among the fans. This is because even Ken Jennings told him he was wrong. However, the production team reversed the decision and gave it to Amar anyway.
Amar Kakirde chose the category “Date of Birth” for $400. The clue said, “Jan. 3, 2009, with the mining of the Genesis block.” The answer was “What is Bitcoin?” No one said that.

Jeopardy! champ Amar Kakirde kept his winning streak alive on Monday night (May 27) when he won his fourth consecutive game, putting him one victory away from a guaranteed spot in the next Tournament of Champions. Undoubtedly, fans have enjoyed the Arizona grocery clerk’s run with fame on his exciting journey on Jeopardy! Since announcing the Jeopardy! spinoff Pop Culture Jeopardy!, fans are buzzing about who could take the reins of the new show. While both Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik have experience, they don’t seem to be the likely candidates for the new streaming series. A clearly thrilled Grant DeYoung won his fourth game of Jeopardy! on Monday night (May 20) despite trailing his opponents for the majority of the episode. The Prescott, Arizona native came into the episode as a three-day champion, having won $67,202 in his previous appearances. However, things got off to a rocky start as five incorrect responses put DeYoung behind his competitors, filmmaker Gregg Meller and student Ivvone Zhou. Meller continued strongly in the next round, finding both Daily Doubles. Unfortunately, he wagered big on the second, losing a big chunk of his earnings and allowing DeYoung to take a slight lead heading into Final Jeopardy. DeYoung and Zhou both answered Final Jeopardy correctly, but DeYoung wagered enough to snatch the win by just $1, finishing with $14,001 over Zhou’s $14,000. It was clearly an emotional victory for DeYoung, who last week shared with viewers how he was in a car crash the moment...

And then there were three. Monday’s edition of Jeopardy! Masters was the second (and final) round of the semifinals, whittling the remaining quartet of Masters down to the three who’ll compete for the big money on Wednesday’s Season 2 finale episode. Here’s a look at how it all shook out. Game Three This round saw Victoria Groce play her last game, going up against James Holzhauer and Amy Schneider. And, in what seems to be just her luck, she found the first round’s Daily Double right away, betting the $1,000 she could without any money in the bank yet. In the category “Short Kingdoms,” the clue was: “In 1814, this historic German state was made into a kingdom for a little while, largely through the influence of England.” While Groce guessed it was Prussia, host Ken Jennings kindly informed her it was actually Hanover, which meant in a surprising turn,...

Ken Jennings was a Jeopardy! champion before he started hosting the show. This might explain why he is getting frustrated lately with some of the contestant’s guesses on the show. This was evident in a recent episode where one contestant went home with $0 and another lost in Final Jeopardy! by dropping below $1,000.
However, there was another episode where multiple triple stumpers caused him to show great disappointment.
Jeopardy! Contestants Struggling More Often Lately
Ken Jennings isn’t the only person to watch in shock as more contestants don’t know the answer to the board’s clues lately. Many viewers watch from home and don’t understand how the contestants are missing what is said to be “easy” clues.
Jeopardy! posted some triple stumpers to its Instagram page. This is a case where none of the contestants know the answer. What is amazing is that some of these are rather easy clues,...

On a recent episode of Jeopardy!, Grant DeYoung was looking for his third straight win. However, his two challengers left a little to be desired. In the final round, only one was left and his answer caused Ken Jennings to get short with him as DeYoung won again.
Here is the final Jeopardy! question and why Jennings was frustrated by this moment in the show.
Ken Jennings Short After Bad Jeopardy! Answers
By the time the Final Jeopardy! rolled around, only two competitors remained. The third, Rachel Shelton, had $0 heading into the finals, so she had to leave the game at that point. This means that Grant DeYoung was trying to win his third game in a row against Nick Coombs.
Jennings had already expressed disappointment when Rachel Shelton bet it all on the Daily Double. She went all-in with $7,000 and then missed the question. Ken seemed sad to see her fall,...

After defeating three-day Jeopardy! champion Will Stewart on Wednesday (May 15), grocery clerk Grant DeYoung returned to the Alex Trebek Stage on Thursday (May 16) and continued his winning ways with a dramatic comeback. DeYoung faced off against Elizabeth Brzozowski, a social studies teacher from Fishkill, New York, and Chen Yan, a surgeon from Happy Valley, Oregon. While his opponents put up a solid effort, DeYoung delivered an unbeatable performance. Even after crashing to $0 in the first round after a failed Daily Double, DeYoung remained unfazed and simply worked his way back up. By the end of the Jeopardy round, he’d answered 13 clues correctly for a total of $3,000, putting him only $600 behind Brzozowski. The Prescott, Arizona native stepped on the gas in Double Jeopardy, finding and nailing both Daily Doubles for a combined $11,000. While Chen put up a strong fight, DeYoung was unstoppable, amassing a runaway total of $20,800 heading into Final Jeopardy.

Although some fans are happy to see Jeopardy! diversifying and broadening their reach, others think the new pop culture spinoff is blasphemy. Undoubtedly, it is a turn from the traditional sixty-year-old game show, but it has plenty of nods to the original. Furthermore, it promises upbeat topics from movies, sports, TV shows, music, and glamorous Hollywood references. Political organizer Will Stewart entered Wednesday’s (May 15) Jeopardy! with a three-day total of $70,501 and plenty of confidence to continue his winning streak. However, Stewart ended up losing the episode in a closely fought battle with grocery clerk Grant DeYoung, and some fans think host Ken Jennings is to blame for the loss. Stewart picked up right where he left off in the opening round, answering 12 correct clues, including the first Daily Double, to give him the lead with $7,600. Meanwhile, DeYoung trailed with $3,400, and fellow contestant Kathy Olson stood at $1,800. The game heated up in Double Jeopardy! after DeYoung found both Daily Doubles, though he chose to split them rather than go all in. This made things super tight between Stewart and DeYoung as they raced to answer the final clues. But this is where the controversy happened. DeYoung selected the second-to-last clue, which came under the “In The Period Film” category.

The “Jeopardy!” brand is expanding again.
