That’s especially true for Netflix, who kicked off June with a massive helping of fresh movies and TV shows on the 1st, and followed it up with a handful of new releases in the days after.
In fact, there were a whopping total of 64 new films and 18 new TV series that arrived on the streaming site this week, and the full list can be found down below:

The fourth installment of Syfy's mega-popular Sharknado series premiered Sunday. And in case there was any question that The 4th Awakens would be a slight Star Wars parody, the film answered that right away by opening with an "Episode IV" scrolling prologue reminiscent of George Lucas' space franchise.
Ian Ziering was back as chainsaw-touting Fin Shepard, alongside Tara Reid and David Hasselhoff. With a new team of allies by their side, they battled the Sharknados – which this time have evolved into fire-breathing, hail-throwing, sand-blasting threats.
They also spewed their fair share of Star Wars puns, including a "May the force be with you" line,...

No, I’m not thinking Doubtfire vs. Madea. Technically that would involve a man fighting a woman, as Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire is Robin Williams playing a male character who dresses as an old lady while Mabel “Madea” Simmons is just Tyler Perry playing an old lady. It doesn’t sound like a fair battle. Obviously Madea would kick the fake nanny’s ass. But the synopsis I have in mind is similar for this Mrs. Doubtfire sequel that Fox 2000 has just announced with original director Chris Columbus and Williams both on board. It has to be an Expendables type movie, which means it’s not just Doubtfire 2 but an ensemble piece in which Williams as Daniel Hillard as Doubtfire is joined by Dustin Hoffman as Michael Dorsey as Tootsie, Martin Lawrence as Malcolm Turner as “Big Momma,” David Cross as Tobias Funke as Mrs. Featherbottom, Miguel A. Nunez Jr. as Jamal Jeffries as Juwanna Mann, Harland Williams...

Any sport at its best can serve as a motivational metaphor for life ... while any sport at its worst can still beat the Houston Astros. And then there's boxing, which is just two people literally beating each other up for money.
But with "42" (the story of Jackie Robinson's inspirational journey to integrate the major leagues) hitting theaters April 12, we thought we'd take a moment to pay tribute to the less celebrated sports films; the ones that teach us to never try and to always give up because life is just a string of disappointments sandwiched between birth and death.
'Rocky II' (1979)
Remember how great "Rocky" was? Remember the heartwarming story of a boxer past his prime finally getting a shot at the title? Remember how moved you felt when Rocky loses to Apollo but wins the respect of the world? Well, this unsubtle sequel has a message...

In a show of support for its leading man-ape, 20th Century Fox has just closed a seven figure deal with Andy Serkis to once again don a motion-capture suit to portray head ape Caesar in a sequel to Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.
The story comes courtesy of Deadline, who reports that Apes director Rupert Wyatt is also a lock. The film is still in the very early stages of development, so no word on whether costars like James France or Freida Pinto will return. After Rise proved to be a massive late summer hit at the box office, sequel news was considered not so much a matter of if but when.
Serkis’s motion capture work as Gollum in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy and as King Kong has paved the way for a new era in film in which the performance of an animated character...

It can be easy to forget that there are good movies out there, especially when so many of the bad movies are ritualistically devoted to the supposed pleasures of forgetting (see, The Hangover II. Better yet, don’t). At this point, some of the good stuff flies so under-the-radar that it’s probably marketed with stealth technology scavenged from that helicopter Seal Team Six left in Pakistan. Our very own Peter Martin wrote the other day about how a whopping 111 people paid to see Koji Wakamatsu’s masterful United Red Army, and most of the folks who actually caught the premiere of How to Die in Oregon on HBO last week did so by accident, having spent the film’s first twenty minutes thinking that the network’s lead-in programming of Juwanna Mann had just...

And just like that, only eight teams remain in the inaugural Movieline Basketball Movie tournament. Are you sad that Juwanna Mann didn't advance to the next round? Well, then you should have voted! All four fourth seeds took the pounding they deserved in round one, but that doesn't mean there weren't a couple of surprises. Let's look at which films advanced to the Elite Eight.

The companies behind the planned feature length film on Tupac Shakur's life have cast a wide net for actors who could portray the slain rapper as he rises to the top of the rap music game.
Morgan Creek Productions ("Exorcist: The Beginning," "Juwanna Mann") in association with online production company, Skee.tv/ Karmaloop.tv are conducting an online search for the actor who could portray Shakur in the biopic slated for release in 2013.
"We're looking for someone with the right mix of raw charm and charisma for the role," says producer David Robinson. "At this point, we're more concerned about finding someone with the ability to give their entire heart into the performance than just looks and personality."
The month-long audition starts today (March 18) in which interested individuals can submit video auditions to www.InSearchOfTupac.com.

NBA free agency begins today, and all eyes are on LeBron James. Where will the two-time Mvp land?
Head to the Chicago Bulls, and King James will be draining threes under the shadow of Michael Jordan and his six championship rings. While we're fans of our hometown New York Knicks, LeBron would be insane to move into Madison Square Garden, as the team is sorely lacking in supplementary talent and is overseen by one of the worst owners in professional sports. The New Jersey Nets stink, the Los Angeles Clippers will never be as beloved as the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Cleveland Cavaliers play in Cleveland.
No, we don't like any of these options. That's why we're thinking that when it comes to LeBron's free agency, the small forward should start thinking outside the box. Here are five basketball teams from Hollywood flicks that would be excellent destinations for King James.

Set It Off star Vivica A. Fox has filed for divorce from her husband - just days after posing happily with him at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards. The Two Can Play That Game actress married rapper Sixx Nine - real name Christopher Harvest - in December 1998. The couple had no children together. And although the pair appeared to be a picture of happiness at the Hollywood awards show on Tuesday night, Vivica filed for divorce less than 48 hours later, according to a petition filed on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Fox, 37, is currently starring in the new comedy Juwanna Mann. (From Wenn correspondent Ryan Smith in Los Angeles)...
