I really enjoyed this movie
gorwell0019 July 2004
This movie has been out for quite some time but i have only managed to view it recently.

The general setting for the movie is that Chasey Lain is a Nymph within a hotel and she can only appear when she is next to water. As you can imagine the story is not the best part of the movie. The best part of the movie is watching Chasey Lain, She is probably one of the most attractive adult actresses (great breasts and eyes) and boy can she do sex scenes!

Another good thing about this movies is that the sex scenes are not too violent which i just detest. The Sex scenes are sensual and erotic.

All i can say i check out this movie.

Architectural Porn
tedg8 July 2004
Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers herein.

I search out architectural films. One of the most interesting is `Liebestraum,' which conflates sex and space. Here is another that is a little heavier on the sex but still has a clever idea about space.

The space this time is an apartment building. There's some soft business about Indians resulting in a timeless `nymph` being tied to the building. She can be in many places at once in different persona. She is a slave to mist, needs it to inhabit. She can manipulate memory. She is sexually needy, hungry. She is completely pliable. These are great metaphors for sensuous architecture.

As porn, I guess it suffices.

Ted's Evaluation -- 2 of 3: Has some interesting elements.

Pleasant, winning fantasy porn by PT

Chasey Lain is delightful (and never looked better) in Paul Thomas's "Nymph", among the better Vivid titles back from the "shooting on 35mm film" era.

It's a cute story about architect Vince Vouyer moving into an old apartment building that's scheduled for demolition by the city fathers. Turns out the place is located on an ancient spring, and Chasey is a ghost-like nymph haunting the edifice because of that.

Fanciful screenplay credited to David Keith Miller is more than functional, even when it stretches already scant credibility to fit porno requirements, in positing Chasey's character to be in many places (and forms) at the same time, so that when even the loyal fan gets tired of seeing just her hump he can watch Tracy Love, Kitty Monroe and "Toni" in action as her alter egos, all at the same time.

The interior sets are not impressive, but this is a capable cast, including pre-boob-enhancement Jill Kelly as a bad guy and the inevitable gang of studs in support. Vouyer is impressive and sympathetic in his lead role, making a good foil for the divine Chasey.

I don't know.

I can't rate this.

Its one of about maybe 3 "porn" films I've ever seen in 20 years that actually has a plot.

These days, what more can you ask for? By pornographic standards, it easily deserves a 52billion+/10, but by normal film standards... er.. it's actually pretty good as well. There's a fun Chinese ghost story thing happening there, but with less kungfu magic and more sex. And not in a cheesy typical porn way. It's still no Kubrick or Besson film though: maybe a 4/10?

Since it was made after the 1973 (or whenever it was) US film rating/censorship fiasco, I'm probably overly impressed to the point of bias.
