- A young man is beaten to death with a cane. We don't see him but we see blood splashing on his attacker.

- A man strucks himself in the head with an axe (offscreen).
- A woman is found frozen to death in the snow.
- Several people die throughout the story, but the deaths are usually not pictured, and there is very little blood.
