Someone says Paulina Novacek "left Prague two jumps ahead of the firing squad." Czechoslovakia had no executions after the Velvet Revolution. Before the Revolution, Czechoslovakia only executed by hanging.
Saying someone got out two jumps ahead of the firing squad is a saying, like someone got out of the country just as the police were closing in.
