The flow of time is perceived as being progressive and linear in nature, which contributes to our understanding of concepts such as ‘Butterfly Effect,’ ‘Grandfather Paradox,’ ‘Bootstrap Paradox,’ etc., where temporal changes are theorized to have a significant impact. But what if time, as we know it, doesn’t remain bound by the constraints of a fixed direction and rather starts acting as a catalyst, connecting various points across the past, present, and future in a way that ensures the inevitability of the continuation of time? As the second season of Amazon Studios’ sci-fi western thriller Outer Range reveals itself with all its eccentric zaniness and complexities, this particular version of time gains narrative focus, often acting like a distinctive character in its own right.
If the first season of the series seemed confusing and bonkers to the viewers, the second season of Outer Range is definitely going to knock them senseless,...

A film chronicling the relationship between Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne is in the works.
A biopic about Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne is still in the works.
The as-yet-untitled film was formally announced in October 2021, when it was confirmed that both Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s music will feature.
Sony Pictures and Polygram are behind the project, which will focus on a twenty year period between 1979 and 1999. Lee Hall, who won huge acclaim for his screenplay for Elton John biopic Rocketman in 2018, will write the script.

Bnny, a.k.a. Chicago singer-songwriter Jessica Viscius, has returned with the new single “Good Stuff.”
The track opens with meditative, brooding synths (“I still remember the first time you said you loved me/Texting me at 2am from across the country”) before the tempo picks up and evolves into euphoric, blissed-out acceptance (“I’m hanging onto the sunshine”), making for one of the most laidback breakup songs of the year.

The project, which will be produced by October Film and the actor’s Green Door Pictures, will cover unsung heroes of colour at Dunkirk, Pearl Harbor and D-Day during the Second World War, and the 51-year-old star is looking forward to shining a spotlight on their stories, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Speaking to Deadline, Elba, whose grandfather fought in the War, told how he was pitched the documentary when October showed him a photo of soldiers from the war and asked “What do you think is missing from these pictures?”

Elon Musk was busy over the weekend handling requests from followers on Twitter. The social media platform recently introduced an ad revenue-sharing program that rewards creators.
However, not all creators had the opportunity to get a piece of the ad revenue pie, which was pointed out to Musk who ended up changing the rules.
A Twitter user was ineligible to monetize their account because it was dedicated to their beagle.
“Profiles that feature animals or fictional characters are ineligible, unless directly affiliated with your brand or organization. Parody and fan accounts are not eligible for Subscriptions,” read Twitter’s Help Center page.
After another user asked Musk to “fix” the issue, Musk replied, “Consider this silly policy deleted as of now.”

Da Pennebaker’s documentary offers moving moments and raw immediacy as the musician takes on his final performance as Ziggy Stardust
Da Pennebaker’s record of David Bowie’s final concert on the Ziggy Stardust tour at London’s Hammersmith Odeon in 1973 (Bowie is part of the reason we will never be reconciled to saying “Eventim Apollo”) is rereleased after a restoration. It was the legendary “all killer no filler” gig at which, in the presence of the Spiders from Mars – Mick Ronson (guitar), Trevor Bolder (bass), Mick Woodmansey (drums) – he retired his Ziggy Stardust persona, announcing to a stunned crowd that it was the last time he would ever play (as Ziggy).
The show itself, in which Bowie and band members appear starkly key-lit in darkness, with the crowd glimpsed briefly and almost stroboscopically, looks intriguingly intimate, like something at a much smaller club venue. The concert is straightforward...

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have announced their new album and just staying true to their verbose aesthetic, has been titled PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation. No release date has been given, but pre-orders open on May 16th.
The Australian collective revealed the project via Kg+Lw’s socials with no release date, tracklist, or accompanying single, but rather an epic, fittingly apocalyptic painting by longtime collaborator Jason Galea that serves as its cover artwork. In April, the band described their latest set as “heavy as fuck” via Twitter.
PetroDragonic Apocalypse ends an uncharacteristically quiet period for the prolific band, who released their most recent LP, Changes, just weeks after their back-to-back, previous efforts, Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava and Laminated Denim, in October 2022.

It’s been almost 15 years since Big Brother 10 premiered on CBS, and it ended up being one of (if not the) best seasons in the reality competition show’s history. Season 10 introduced Dan Gheesling, a Big Brother legend, and it included big personalities such as Keesha Smith, Renny Martyn, and Libra Thompson. Plus, Big Brother 10 featured the oldest houseguest in the show’s history — Jerry MacDonald.

In a 1988 interview, Richards took a shot at Elton John’s authenticity.
“Reg, give me a Rubens, and I’ll say something nice. Reg Dwight,” he told Rolling Stone, referring to John’s real name, Reginald. “Lovely bloke, but posing.”

Joy Oladokun wants her music to be a real portrait of life. On Friday, with the release of her soft single “Changes,” the songstress revealed that she will be releasing her project Proof of Life on April 28.
On the new single, backed by breezy guitars, Oladokun sings candidly about “keeping with the changes” of life and how challenging it can be to do so.

Robbie Williams has revealed that he threw up on stage during his gig at the â.â.Sonderfreifläche Messe in Munich, Germany on 27 August.
After falling ill with a fever, the 48-year-old has spoken about how he powered through to avoid disappointing the many fans who’d pay to see him perform.
Responding to Annie Macmanus on her latest podcast episode Changes, Williams explained that he had started feeling ill while touring some shows that were postponed due to the pandemic.
“I had a fever before going on, and I felt dreadful,” Williams recalled.
“There were over 100,000 people at this gig and the responsibility of being able to give them their money’s worth and to stand in front of that many people, whilst feeling that way was a heady mix.
“It’s the first time that I’ve thrown up on stage,” he told Macmanus.

Britney Spears wrote that she was “traumatised for life” following her 13-year conservatorship and likely won’t be able to perform live shows again.
In a now-deleted post on Instagram, Spears shared a lengthy message reflecting on the work required to put on her past shows, as well as the process involved in preparing her live performances.
Starting off her message by saying that she didn’t have any creative control over her music at that time, Spears says the only visual she liked was the one for her 2013 single “Work B****”.
The “Toxic” singer also mentioned the unpleasant experiences she has had working with photographers.
“The most offensive So Called professional pictures on every tour. I mean they could have at least cheated and retouched them for me… just saying… two day shoots for new show in Vegas literally the worst ever… and me excited for the pictures for five months on tour…...

Nothing ever changes, it seems. Zayn Malik is delighting fans with a soulful and sentimental video he posted to Instagram.
The singer — whom many credit for the disbanding of One Direction after he left the group to go solo — shared the black-and-white clip on Monday, which shows him singing his former band’s 2014 single “Night Changes.”
“Everything that you’ve ever dreamed of/ Disappearing when you wake up/ But there’s nothing to be afraid of./ Even when the night changes/ It will never change me and you,” Malik, 29, crooned in the video, belting out part of the ballad’s romantic chorus.

The legendary Ozzy Osbourne feels remorse for not making “more varied” music. While he is proud of the way Black Sabbath made heavy metal “big”, the rockstar said that he would have liked to have explored outside of the genre and produced some songs that were less “aggressive”, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“You know what, I would have liked to have been a little more varied,” he told The Sun newspaper when asked if he wished he had ever moved away from heavy metal.
“Black Sabbath music is very aggressive even if some of it is foot-tapping.”
“But we fought the f****** world to make it big. But mind you, it’s a good thing we didn’t get our royalties when we were 23 because I would have f***** myself into another planet.”
The 73-year-old singer said that there are some collaborations he’d loved to have been able to secure.

The late soul singer Charles Bradley was deep into chemotherapy when he entered a home recording studio in Queens, New York. In the fall of 2016, he’d been diagnosed with stomach cancer, forcing him to cancel a North American tour in support of his third album, Changes. Weak, but resilient, Bradley entered the recording booth and began to record the vocals for a new song, “Lonely As You Are,” on the spot.
The resulting track is a heart-rending ballad that deftly mixes Bradley’s powerhouse vocals with country-tinged soul groove.

Short stories often make the best source material for feature films. They offer pitches with a gem of a concept that can be expanded into a more complex story. Fans of the original short story aren’t as prone to get pissed at changes from the book as fans of novels since they can acknowledge that there naturally are alterations when expanding a short story. Glaring omissions due to time constraints aren’t likely to be a problem like they are when adapting 500-page books to two-hour movies. “Brokeback Mountain,” “The Fly,” “Children of the Corn,” “The Absent-Minded Professor,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Total Recall” (and a slew of other Philip K. Dick sci-fi imaginings) started out as short stories. Neil Gaiman’s uniquely enchanting, haunting imagination has inspired a handful of film adaptations, including stop-motion movie “Coraline” and the far-too-much-fun “Stardust,” which starred Robert De Niro and a pre-“Daredevil” Charlie Cox.

I remember back in school how annoyed I would get with my English teachers as we dissected every word in the books we were assigned to read. It seemed not a sentence would go by that didn't hold some larger meaning. I'd be thinking, "Not every word has to have some deeper meaning. Can't an author simply be telling a story?" When it comes to films, I think a larger case can be made for looking deeper into things given they are working under tighter constraints than most books, but at the same time I can't tell you how many interviews I've read where directors have been asked the "What did you mean by X? And was there anything to Y?" and the answer comes back, "Nothing really, just thought it worked for the story." In fact, I had a similar situation recently when discussing The Perks of Being a Wallflower...

After chasing down the likes of Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in Fast Five, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is ready to take on another real American hero.
Johnson has officially joined Paramount’s upcoming G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes as Roadblock, the resident Joes machine gunner and cook who was left out of the first film, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. The Rock, who has steamrolled his way to legitimate action hero status with films like The Scorpion King, Walking Tall and Faster, is just about perfect for this role.
First of all, of course, he has the physical size to play Roadblock, who once worked as a bouncer before enlisting in the Army. And, if you’re talking about the Eighties cartoon version of the character, you’ll note that The Rock has the necessary charisma to play him. Roadblock is best known for making all of his statements in rhymes,...

There are a ton of movies coming out this year and next year, so its rather easy to anticipate all of them. Well, people seem to be overlooking certain aspects of these films. For example some are reboots, others are sequels without the original cast, and others are just plain out there. So here are six movies I am looking forward to for specific reasons.
1.) Transformers Dark of the Moon. Reason: No Megan fox
Transformers blew everyone away when the first film had breathtaking visuals and brought a childhood favorite alive before our eyes. We could write books on how many times Michal Bay took CGI to new levels, and how he honestly doesn’t care about the standards of movie making. Like it or not, the first Transformers also had a pretty good story behind it.
With Transformers 2, Michal Bay tried to experiment a little. He tried to add...

British-born director known for Anne of the Thousand Days and Mary, Queen of Scots
The film and television director Charles Jarrott, who has died of cancer aged 83, began his career during a golden period of British TV drama, working on Armchair Theatre and The Wednesday Play in the 1960s alongside writers and directors such as Ken Loach, Dennis Potter and David Mercer. Both series were presided over by the Canadian producer Sydney Newman, who encouraged original work – what he called "agitational contemporaneity" – and had an astonishing impact. But in 1969 Jarrott's career took a different turn when he left for Hollywood, thereby increasing his income a hundredfold, while having to contend with far less adventurous material. His best films were his first, two Elizabethan costume dramas, Anne of the Thousand Days and Mary, Queen of Scots, enlivened by the Oscar-nominated performances of Richard Burton (Henry VIII), Geneviève Bujold (Anne Boleyn) and...
