- Jungle guide David Marchand is kidnapped by a tribe of natives who want to sacrifice him to their white rhino god. Just as he is about to be killed, however, he is thrown backwards in time to a kingdom of brunette women and their blonde slaves. David rejects the advances of Queen Kari and sides with the blondes, which leads to him being imprisoned in the dungeon. Can David find some way of returning to his own time? And if he does, what will be awaiting him there when he returns?—Jean-Marc Rocher <rocher@fiberbit.net>
- Hunting guide David Marchand (Michael Latimer), Colonel Hammond (Robert Raglan) and some native aides are hunting a leopard. The Colonel shoots it, but only wounds it. Since dusk is approaching David, accompanied by the natives, decides to track it down to put it out of its misery while the Colonel returns to camp. Whilst tracking they spot a primitive tree carving of a white rhino which the natives refuse to go past, so David continues alone.
David finds the leopard and kills it as it tries to attack him. However, he is soon surrounded by more natives from a different tribe who accuse him of hunting on their sacred ground and disturbing the spirit of the white rhino. They take him to their leaders and then into a cave where there is a statue of a white rhino and tell him that he must die for disturbing their sacred land. As the natives are about to put him to death, David touches the horn of the rhino, there is a flash of lightning and a clap of thunder and all the natives freeze in time. A gap appears in the cave wall and David walks through into what appears to be another land, but is in fact the same land at an earlier point in time.
A blonde girl appears. When David approaches her, she bites him and flees. He chases her and a tussle ensues in which the girl is knocked unconscious. A group of dark-haired women arrive, capture David and take him to a clearing where they all kneel in front of a life-sized statue of a white rhino. David is taken further and tied up by a pool. The leader of the women, Kari (Martine Beswick), walks out naked from behind a bush and into the pool and asks David some questions about himself before ordering him to be taken away. He is led through a large clearing surrounded by rocks where several blonde women are working as slaves and locked in a cell.
Also in the cell is the blonde girl he fought with earlier, Saria (Edina Ronay). She tells him that they are the slaves of Kari and cannot escape because devil guardians protect the land. Every full moon, one of them is sacrificed as a bride to the guardians and never seen again. There are no men to help them. Kari enters the cell and orders Saria to be taken out.
That evening, the blonde slave women perform a song and dance ritual for Kari while David is brought out and sat next to Kari. As Kari gives David some food one of the slaves rebels, shouts at Kari and throws some food at her, complaining about them having to be Kari's slaves providing her with food. A brief fight between them ends when the slave is skewered by Kari on a roasting spit. Kari returns to her seat and orders the singing and dancing to continue. Afterwards, David is brought to Kari's chamber. She tries to seduce him, but he resists because of her earlier cruelty. She offers him equality but he refuses, so she orders him to be taken away as her slave.
Through a hole in his cell wall, David observes Kari worshiping at the statue of the white rhino and a masked face in the bushes.
Saria is thrown back into the cell with her fellow slaves who tell her Kari has taken David as her own, but she refuses to believe them.
The next day, in an effort to soften his resistance to her, Kari has David thrown into a cave cell, where there are several men in forced labor.
Meanwhile, the blonde slaves all bow down before the statue of the white rhino and the masked face in the bushes before the ceremony of selection begins. Amyak (Stephanie Randall) is chosen to be the bride.
While they eat in the cave, an old man explains to David that they had come to this land and hunted the white rhino to extinction, then erected a statue of the animal. They made the dark-haired people their slaves, but Kari escaped and returned with the devils who overthrew them and made the men the slaves. The man explains that Kari's evil came from the men capturing her in the first place and they have to remain in captivity until the real white rhino reappears and the false idol is destroyed.
As Amyak is prepared for her bridal ceremony by the other slaves, Saria tries to convince them that David is their savior, if he can be released and exert his influence on Kari. Amyak is taken to the white rhino statue and sat on its back. The slaves and guards all leave, then Kari hands Amyak over to the figure with the mask in the bushes. The figure emerges to take Amyak away.
That night, Saria sneaks into the cell where the men are held and convinces David to help them overthrow Kari and their captors. They kiss and he tells her that he will never leave her, but she says it is foretold that after a stranger has helped free them, he will return to his own land.
David is brought to Kari and he convinces her that he will do everything she asks. In front of Saria and the others, she dances for him and then orders him to her chamber, but Saria cracks and reveals David is only doing it for her, not for Kari. Outraged, Kari orders David to be taken back to his cell.
Saria is prepared for the bridal ceremony to be handed over to the devil guardians. Meanwhile, the other men help David to escape from his chains. As the slaves and guards return from leaving Kari and Saria at the statue of the white rhino, the men attack and overpower the guards. David runs to the statue and attacks the figure emerging from the bushes to take Saria. In the fight, he pulls the mask off, revealing that it is a tribal man. A fight also breaks out between Saria and Kari. A number of other masked figures emerge from the bushes, but at the same time, the freed men appear. The men chase the masked figures through the bushes, where several struggles and fights occur. Then, a real white rhino appears. Kari kneels before it, believing it to be a god, but it attacks and kills her. The struggling rivals disperse in fear.
Saria and David return to the statue of the white rhino. She tells him he must return to his own land according to the legend, but that she will love him forever. David touches the horn of the statue, there is a flash of lightning and a clap of thunder and he is back in the cave again with the natives about to put him to death. Before they can do anything, the white rhino statue falls apart. Their leader says they are now free, thanks to David, and the temple of the false idol must be destroyed. They set fire to everything in the cave and leave to celebrate outside.
One of David's assistants appears from the bushes and tells him he was only in the cave for a moment. They leave to return to their camp.
Back at the camp, David finds a pendant from the prehistoric time in his pocket. As he leaves his tent, he is introduced to some new arrivals to the camp, one of whom is a woman named Sarah looks exactly like Saria.
