U.S. Naval Activities, London came about in 1951 as a joint military support effort between the U.S. and the UK. This arrangement lasted until 2007; thus, it was entirely possible to see a 'U.S. Navy Exchange' truck motoring around in London in the 1960s. Filmed in the spring of 1963.
The opening titles specifically announce this film as "A sequel to John Wyndham's 'The Midwich Cuckoos'".
