Japan is doing everything they can to ensure our future is as robot friendly as it has been portrayed in film, and this step while small, does do a lot more than you think. Check out this robot taking a coffee order (via Geekologie) and continue on below:
So big whoop right? All that robot did was play middle man while that woman went and put the cup in and everything! This robot is definitely a gimmick, but he also has the ability to recognize the faces of customers and chat them up for entertainment while they wait for their customized coffee to be made. It's not game-changing, but the first tech never is! What do you think our robots serving coffee will be like in the future? ...

Kevin Federline has learned that co-parenting with your ex means making sacrifices.
The 39-year-old father-of-six -- including 11-year-old Sean and 10-year-old Jayden with Britney Spears -- opens up in a new interview about what raising kids with a pop star ex is like, and how splitting the time causes him to miss out on certain things, such as Father's Day.
"I’m used to not having all my kids, and this is gonna be one of those years," Federline tells Bravo's Personal Space. "When you are co-parenting, you have to be willing to give up some of the things you would really like to do. My boys will be gone, their mom’s off in Asia on tour. They are with me until the 15th, and then they are gone for the rest of the month. So I won’t have the boys for Father’s Day."

“Where someone picks a fight with us, that gets a lot of attention.”
Reed Hastings, the founder and CEO of Netflix, has described the controversy over Netflix films appearing in Competition at this year’s Cannes Film Festival as “fantastic for us”.
In a wide-ranging interview with Recode, Hastings said: “The two films, The Meyerowitz Stories and Okja, got in [to Cannes] on their own on artistic merit… they were just normal movies.
“But sometimes the establishment is clumsy when they try and shut out the insurgent and then the insurgent’s role is to play that up. Where someone picks a fight with us, that gets a lot of attention which then brings attention [to our films].
“[The Cannes row] has been fantastic for us, most importantly for Okja and The Meyerowitz Stories, which are small films and very artistic and they’ll get a lot more awareness.”

The bond of male friendship is examined – and tested – in Folk Hero & Funny Guy, a short and sweet dramedy from multi-hyphenate Jeff Grace, who writes and directs. We meet comedian Paul (Alex Karpovsky) at the end of a tired stand-up routine in a beer-stained comedy club. Meanwhile, Paul’s childhood friend Jason (Wyatt Russell) has built a successful career for himself as a folk music star. Inspired over the course of a drunken reunion, Jason gets the idea to take Paul on tour with him. We had the opportunity to speak with Russell about the film, and one can read the full conversation below.
How did this all come together?
I came back from doing a film and I just read this movie that I thought was really good. And it had a musical element to it which is something I’d wanting to do. Because I play guitar, and...

Tonight's theme was women getting stronger.
Rayna got stronger by beefing up security at her house.
Juliette got stronger by dealing with the thoughts and feelings that were pulling her toward church.
Scarlett got stronger when she accepted the result of last week's music video.
Maddie's relationship with her parents got stronger as she confided in them about her and Clay's struggles.
So let's start with Maddie. On Nashville Season 5 Episode 6 Maddie and Clay are dealing with their age difference, among other things.
Seven years is a pretty big difference; especially at that time in their lives. Maddie is still in high school, while Clay is almost half way through his twenties.
Women do mature quicker than men but that doesn't apply to their situation. Maddie is immature for her age, while Clay seems wiser than his 24 years. He was obviously forced to mature earlier in life due to his parents issues.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is arriving on December 16th, and Disney wants to make sure you know it. The studio has been on a marketing frenzy over the past few weeks, bombarding us with promos, TV spots, photos, posters and more. Now, to add to the ever-growing hype train, Entertainment Weekly has blown the lid off their Rogue One coverage with a massive batch of images that, among other things, showcase the iconic Darth Vader looming large.

Looking back now – three decades later – it’s hard to believe that the idea of an archaeologist as The go-to film hero was, oftentimes, a guarantee to bring in the punters and create a big-money blockbuster movie! Indiana Jones, Romancing the Stone, King Solomon’s Mines, etc. all graced the big screen to varying degrees of success during the mid-80s; and yes, it was Spielberg’s film that reignited the genre but it took Cannon Films – the purveyors of low-budget, high-concept big screen bonanzas – to really put the fun into this now-buried treasure of a genre.
After hitting it big with King Solomon’s Mines, they milked the classic character for another big-budget (at least for Cannon) movie before the flash-in-the-pan adventurer genre faded.

BioWare’s space-faring sequel Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch during the first quarter of 2017, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen has confirmed.
That means the title falls in the publisher’s fourth quarter of fiscal year 2016, ensuring that it doesn’t open in the same corridor as Dice’s Battlefield 5 and, potentially, Titanfall 2. Jorgensen made the announcement while speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom Conference, noting that EA has “a great year ahead.”
“We’ve got our Battlefield first-person shooter game coming in the third quarter, and our third-party title that Respawn, our partner, built, it’s called Titanfall, it’s the second title that they brought into that brand.
“Both of those are first-person shooters and will be targeted around the fast, action-driven shooter market, as well as the strategy-driven market in that quarter. We have our Mirror’s Edge runner game this first quarter, and then we have Mass Effect,...

Hermione would be so proud of Emma Watson. The now 25-year-old actress is really putting serious thought into the kind of person she wants to be, and how she can inspire others to broaden their perspectives. Watson recently filmed two major movies ("Beauty and the Beast" and "The Circle") and she told feminist icon bell hooks she plans to take the next year off from acting to focus on personal development and feminism outreach.
Watson, a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador who promotes gender equality through the HeForShe movement, talked to the "Feminism is for Everybody" author for Paper magazine.

As one of the few Hollywood stars to have played more than one superhero on screen, you can forgive Chris Evans’ initial apprehension when it came to donning the star-spangled suit for Marvel as Captain America circa 2011. Less than half a decade later, though, and his character is all but a household name, with fans chomping at the bit to learn more of his next major outing, Captain America: Civil War.
Much like all of Marvel’s multi-faceted contracts, though, there is an end in sight for Evans as Cap, whose contract expires after the two-part Avengers: Infinity War. Though should the studio find another creative route for him to reprise his role beyond Infinity War, the actor wouldn’t hesitate this time around.

Performing at WrestleMania is the dream of pretty much anybody who has entered the wrestling industry over the past 30 years or so – since creating the event in 1985, Vince McMahon has made ‘Mania the place to be. So big is the show, that several wrestling companies elect to routinely invade the area WWE call home for a week, putting on their own events and capitalising from the buzz around wrestling when WrestleMania is in town.
Casual and lapsed fans are brought back out of hiding, simply unable to resist the charms of what is assuredly the biggest event on the pro wrestling calendar. ‘Mania 31 also promises to be grand, even if there are gripes about how WWE have failed to produce sufficient numbers of genuine top stars over the past few years.
Incredibly, there have been hundreds of matches at WrestleMania, and thankfully, many of them have featured amazing performances.

Arguably the first 'epic' James Bond film, we look back at You Only Live Twice, starring Mr Sean Connery...
This one's big. So big it exerts a gravitational pull, orbited by numerous pop culture satellites, sketch shows and 90% of Austin Powers. Has some nice little moments and memorable big moments. Shame about the bits inbetween. A film that I loved as a child and find increasingly flawed. Characters so two-dimensional you could stick them to the fridge, writing that dips into laziness and is occasionally outright indolent. Plus Connery looks bored by the whole thing.
The Villain: It seems perverse to label one of the great villains of cinema a disappointment. And, despite several incarnations, there’s no denying this Blofeld, Pleasance’s Blofeld, is still seen as the archetype. The cat, the baldness, the scar, the lack of stature have all entered into (pop) cultural lore. Yet I find...

The cat, the baldness, the scar, the lack of stature have all entered into (pop) cultural lore. Yet I find...

Yesterday I had a thought – which I do have on occasion.
I have always considered myself a “socially conscious” comics writer. This means that, if you look over my body of work, you will notice that I have told stories that, in one way or another, reflect “real world” events and the consequences of those events on my characters. Notably, of course, in my 1986 Lois Lane mini-series about child abduction and abuse, “When It Rains, God is Crying” (coincidentally edited by ComicMix’s Robert Greenberger when we were both working for DC, he an editor and me a freelancer), but also as far back as “Moon River,” my first story in New Talent Showcase, an admittedly tyro effort to portray the outcome of a closed, dictatorial society on an individual. And of course there was “Chalk Drawings,” which I co-wrote with George Pérez for Wonder Woman, which was a story about suicide.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m growing a little tired of The Big Bang Theory’s insistence on repetition. At what point does this series grow tired of using Raj as someone who has the worst luck with women? His inability to speak to women while sober was a trait that was cute for maybe two seasons, but it dragged on for way too long and made little sense even as a joke. It was like a crutch to keep him away from finding a proper relationship. So Big Bang is looking to throw him toward another girl that will likely prove to be nothing much in terms of romance, but will certainly go miles towards making Raj unhappy.
The latest woman to come into Raj’s life will be played by Lost alum Tania Raymonde, according to TVLine. She’ll be guest starring,...

All the while, we got a glance at Watson's past and it was - sorry to sound corny - beautiful. Lucy Liu was terrific as always, with the series taking a major step in the right direction by actually focusing for a change on Watson.

How big a deal was the Monday afternoon screening of August: Osage County? So big that Toronto International Film Festival Artistic Director Cameron Bailey was on hand to personally introduce director John Wells, who was flanked by producer (and Oscar guru) Harvey Weinstein. Wells informed the crowd that he.d finished his final mix on the film mere days before this screening. He joked that he hoped the entire film made it across the border to Canada. Based on what we saw, enough of it arrived to deliver a lasting impression. This will not be a full review. There.s too much to chew on in August: Osage County to hash out between screenings at a hectic festival setting. The movie, by design, wants to challenge us with uncomfortable truths hurled by family members who no longer bother to pretend that they love each other. It jabs, jabs, jabs, and...

Russell Brand mocks Morning Joe, Disney’s Frozen rips off Ice Age, Armie Hammer likes rough, dominate sex
Back in school, Armie Hammer used to buy Playboys and sell them with a bottle of lotion to other students, and he almost got caught when they searched his locker. Fortunately, the magazines were stashed outside, so he just had to explain several bottles of lotion. He also says that when he was younger, his sex life was different. “I don’t know how much we can put here without my parents being embarrassed, but I used to like to be a dominant lover. I liked the grabbing of the neck and the hair and all that. But then you get married and your sexual appetites change. I mean that for the better — it’s not like I’m suffering in any way. But you can’t really pull your wife’s hair.

Hollywood actor best known for his starring role as Lieutenant Dan 'Hondo' Harrelson in the 70s cop series S.W.A.T.
Steve Forrest, who has died aged 87, was a product of the Hollywood studio system, then at its tail end in the 1950s. Although MGM had the handsome, rugged 6ft 3in actor under contract for five years, from 1952 to 1957, they gave him few chances to shine. Veteran he-man actor Steve Forrest, probably best remembered for starring in the TV series S.W.A.T., has died at 87. Forrest, who was the younger brother of the actor Dana Andrews, labored in movies for a decade, in tiny, mostly uncredited bit parts (including, among others, the 1943 Val Lewton production The Ghost Ship, Vincente Minnelli’s 1952 Hollywood expose’ The Bad And The Beautiful, and the Minnelli-Fred Astaire musical The Band Wagon) before winning a Golden Globe for Most Promising Male Newcomer for his performance in So Big (1953).
