The film, on its initial release, only played in 3D in one theatre - the Rialto in New York. The 3D craze had pretty much burned itself out by that time. The film did poorly at the box office and was released in a flat version.
The main bull named Dirty 3 in the film, actually named 48 in real life, dropped dead during production. They were unable to find a very good match for the dead bull and so close ups were hard or impossible to do and if the bull really got wild, as they hoped he would, his fake horns would fall off. It severely hampered the film.
The film earned MGM a $444,000 profit which, when adjusted for inflation, equates to almost $5 million in 2022.
