Apple has landed another big feature project, that being an Audrey Hepburn biopic which Oscar-nominated filmmaker Luca Guadagnino will helm, with 2x Oscar nominee Rooney Mara set to play The Breakfast at Tiffany‘s legendary actress.
Deadline has learned separately that Mara is also producing the feature project, which Michael Mitnick, the EP of HBO series Vinyl is writing.
The movie reps Mara’s third producing credit after the documentary The End of Medicine and The Truth About Emmanuel.

A collection of 10 handwritten letters by screen icon Audrey Hepburn reveal the lengths that she went to keep her 1954 wedding to Mel Ferrer a secret from the press. "How dearly we would love you to be with us on our wedding day," Hepburn wrote to her close friend, British actor Sir Felix Aylmer, in one of the letters to be auctioned by his family at Bonhams in London on June 29. One of the pleasures of digging around for movie posters is coming across great designs for films that have otherwise been forgotten, that have not become part of the pantheon—or even any of its foothills—but which nevertheless are fascinating reminders of areas of cinema history that are usually ignored.
