In all, some 2,000 young people between the ages of eight and 25 take part in the initiative, performing in the productions and working with established technicians. The project is the brainchild of Roger Burnell, Bridgend council's director of theatre, culture and the arts. Roger believes the initiative has helped Christie to "establish a creative sense of purpose to his life."
