Davy Jones left home to become a jockey. While he was an apprentice, he was encouraged to go into acting and got a role in a production of "Peter Pan". From there, he played on Coronation Street (1960) and The Pickwick Papers (1952) before landing the role of "The Artful Dodger" in "Oliver!". This job took him to America's Broadway, where he was discovered by Ward Sylvester and brought to Los Angeles. From there, he was given a role in The Monkees (1965). With this sitcom, he made 58 television episodes, 9 albums, a television special, and a movie before calling it quits in the early 1970s. In the mid-1970s, Davy rejoined fellow Monkee Micky Dolenz and songwriters Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart to make an album and do some touring. Davy had gone on to perform in more plays, including "The Real Live Brady Bunch" and "Oliver!" (again), and had also fulfilled his dream of becoming a jockey. He rejoined The Monkees for touring from 1986-89 and 1996-97. Davy Jones died at age 66 of a heart attack on February 29, 2012.- Actor

Vaughn Wilton Monroe was born October 7, 1911 in Akron, Ohio, and his family moved to Wisconsin shortly thereafter. Monroe showed an early talent for the trumpet and focused most of his early efforts on that. Monroe wanted to be an opera singer, but the Depression made pursuing such a career impractical. Instead, he sang as a vocalist with several bands, among them Austin Wylie (who later worked for Artie Shaw), Larry Funk (for which he made his recording debut), and Jack Marshard. It was Marshard who realized Monroe's talent, brought him out from the brass section, and turned him into a conductor. At the urging of Marshard and many others, Monroe started his own orchestra in 1940. RCA Victor immediately signed him to a contract. From 1940 until 1954, he had over 70 chart hits. One of these is the one he's best known for today: "Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!", the 1946 version of which is heard at the end of the first two Bruce Willis "Die Hard" films.
The tall, handsome Monroe, whose signature tune was "Racing With the Moon", was very popular in the 1940s and early 1950s. His band was heard every Sunday on the radio in America (under contract to Camel cigarettes) and played to full ballrooms everywhere they went. Some of the musicians who regularly toured with Monroe included guitarist 'Bucky Pizzarelli', saxophonist Adny Bagni, Bobby Nichols, singer Mary Jo Grogan, Trumpeter Bobby Nichols, trombonist Ray Conniff, and well-known jazz pianist Arnold Ross.
The big band business started losing steam in the early 1950s, and Monroe gave up his band in 1953. For the next 20 years, he worked as a single and on the nightclub circuit, while maintaining his contract with RCA Victor as their spokesman.
Monroe died May 21, 1973, shortly after undergoing stomach surgery.- Lenore Leslie Lonergan was the daughter of actor, 'Lester Lonergan, Jr (1893-1958)' and opera singer, Julia Mary (Juliet) McIntyre-Lonergan (1889-1942). Born into an affluent family in Chicago on August 19, 1903, Cozzens was the great-grandson of William C. Cozzens, who briefly served as governor of Rhode Island in 1863.
A conservative chronicler of the WASP society whose hegemony over American culture (which he approved of) began to wane after the Second World War, Cozzens -- once mentioned as a leading candidate for the Nobel Prize for Literature in the 1950s -- is all but forgotten now. After the war, he became the target of left-wing literary critics who targeted him for what would now be termed his lack of "political correctness".
In 1949, he won the Pulitzer Prize for his military novel "Guard of Honor", which some critics thought was the best book to come out of World War II. His novel By Love Possessed (1961) was a huge bestseller, and was adapted into a popular movie.
Aside from his service in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, Cozzens was a reclusive figure who shunned publicity. By the time he died of pneumonia on August 9, 1978, just 10 days short of his 75th birthday, his book sales had substantially declined. - Art Department

Dan Kent was a hard working, soft spoken, tell it like it is, big hearted man. He was the guy who would give you the shirt off his back, no questions asked. His integrity and work ethic is what made this project that much easier to tackle.
Unfortunately he never got to see the final product but was so proud of his work and extremely excited to be a part of THE NIGHT OF THE SHOOTER. We could not have done this without him. As a motorcycle and gun enthusiast he was made for this part.
He also was a big part of the upcoming family series NOT SO WILD EAST.
More so he was a friend to us all and we will honor him in everything we do!- Mildred Merrill was born on 1 August 1901 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Mildred was a writer, known for The Web (1950) and Sergeant Preston of the Yukon (1955). Mildred died on 28 March 1995 in Stuart, Florida, USA.
