Denis Brodeur is a Canadian photographer, acknowledged as one of hockey's finest photographers and was the father of New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur, the National Hockey League's winningest goaltender. He was the official photographer for the Montreal Canadiens for many years, and co-published a book entitled Goalies: Guardians of the Net in 1996, which features his son Martin on the front cover.
Like his son, Denis was also considered an outstanding goaltender, and helped team Canada win the bronze medal at the 1956 Olympic Games in Cortina D'Ampezzo, Italy.
In November 2006 the National Hockey League acquired Brodeur's photography work, which consisted of over 110,000 images from 40 years. Some of the legendary names included in this collection are the brothers Phil Esposito and Tony Esposito, Jean Béliveau, Gordie Howe, Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Bobby Orr. He also captured many famous events and landmarks, from the nasty Boston-Montreal rivalry of the 1970s right on up through the Devils' first Stanley Cup in 1995. Paul Onorato was born on 11 November 1946 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He was a cinematographer, known for The Evil Touch (1973), On the Run (1982) and The Dark Room (1982). He died on 26 September 2013 in Salem, Oregon, USA.- He also attended school there up to secondary school. Dussmann completed training as a retail salesman from 1955 to 1958. He then worked as a salesman for several companies. In 1963, Dussmann founded the "Peter Dussmann Home Care Service". The company offered a new service: cleaning the apartments of Munich bachelors. From 1966 he was chairman of the board of "Dussmann AG & Co. KGaA". In 1969 the original number of employees had grown from 10 to more than 1,000 employees. Within just a few years, the company developed into a multi-service provider in the areas of catering and building management (building technology, security services, cleaning services). Under the brand name "Pedus Service" it also expanded into the area of services for hospitals, old people's and nursing homes and other social institutions.
In 1986, Dussmann expanded into the group when the management company Kursana was founded, which is considered a leading private service provider in the area of care for seniors and the disabled. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Dussmann moved the company's headquarters from Munich to Berlin. In 1990, Pedus Service opened 14 branches in the new federal states. In Berlin, Dussmann opened the Dussmann-Haus on Friedrichstrasse in October 1997, which has since had the longest opening hours in the German department store industry as a KulturKaufhaus. In 2001, the company received the catering contract for the German Bundestag in Berlin. The Dussmann Group employed around 50,000 people in 25 countries worldwide (Europe, Asia, USA). With a total turnover of 1,059 million euros, it was one of the largest private multi-service companies ever.
At the end of 2002, Dussmann stepped down as chairman of the company's board of directors in order to take over as chairman of the supervisory board from the beginning of the next year. His successor at the top of the board was Frank Wössner. In 2003, Dussmann received the largest order in its company history to date with building management for seven European Infineon locations. The entrepreneur was also involved as a cultural patron and was chairman of the Association of Friends and Supporters of the Unter den Linden State Opera. In October 2008, Dussmann suffered a serious stroke in Rome. His wife, Catherine von Fürstenberg-Dussmann, became chairwoman of the Dussmann Group's supervisory board in April 2009.
Peter Dussmann died on September 26, 2013 in Monaco as a result of a stroke.
