Do you care about the People's Choice Awards? I certainly don't, but here are the winners anyway, just in case you missed the show and can't find your way to the official Web site.

"The Dark Knight" won Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie. The film's cast also won Favorite Cast, while Christian Bale and Heath Ledger were named Favorite Onscreen Match Up.

"27 Dresses" picked up the Favorite Comedy Movie (you're kidding, right?), while "The Secret Life of Bees" won Favorite Movie Drama and Favorite Independent Movie. "Wall-e" was named Favorite Family Movie.

Will Smith is the Favorite Male Movie Star, and Reese Witherspoon is the Favorite Female Movie Star. Also, Angelina Jolie is the Favorite Female Action Star, and Brad Pitt is the...zzzzzzzz....

This is making me sleepy. Just check out the rest of them here.

Mostly odd results I must say. Then again, why bother? These awards are not important anyway.

As for the rumors about Lautner, Weitz said he's all ready and "emotionally right" for the role. So there you go Taylor fans, you'll have him back.

7 January 2009 10:52 PM, PST

No, it's not a joke. Mickey Rourke is indeed in negotiations to star as one of the villains in Jon Favreau's upcoming "Iron Man 2."

As Variety reports, Rourke may jump into the role of Crimson Dynamo, the tattooed Russian arms dealer who faces the superhero in a badass suit of armor.

Apparently, Sam Rockwell is also in talks to play a bad guy in the sequel, but nobody really knows what role he is being considered for.

Wow, Mickey! Just yesterday we learned you joined Sylvester Stallone's "The Expendables," and now you're in line for some "Iron Man" action. Congrats!

7 January 2009 10:51 PM, PST

New Regency has acquired the rights for the big-screen adaptation of Josh Bazell's novel "Beat the Reaper," which hit store shelves Wednesday.

The story focuses on an emergency room doctor who runs into trouble when a mobster recognizes him from his former life as a hitman. Although the doctor went into the witness protection program, his past is now catching up with him.

DiCaprio can currently be seen in "Revolutionary Road," for which he snatched a Golden Globe nomination. He also recently completed filming for Martin Scorsese's "Shutter Island."

Here's the poster for 'Sunshine Cleaning'

7 January 2009 8:01 AM, PST

From the producers of "Little Miss Sunshine" comes "Sunshine Cleaning," a comedy starring Emily Blunt, Amy Adams and Alan Arkin.

ImpAwards just recently added a new poster for the film, which is directed by Christine Jeffs from a script by Megan Holley.

The film focuses on two sisters who want to make some quick cash by starting up a crime scene clean-up business. It's a dirty business indeed.

Blunt, Adams and Arkin together in one film sounds delicious. I recently caught the trailer for "Sunshine Cleaning" in theaters, and I have to admit, it looks hilarious.

The film is scheduled to open in limited relesse March 13, 2009. Adams is currently onscree  in "Doubt." Blunt will be seen in "The Wolf Man" later this year.

Robert Pattinson drops 'Parts Per Billion'

7 January 2009 7:48 AM, PST

It's a sad morning for die-hard Robert Pattinson fans!

According to MTV, the "Twilight" actor has officially dropped out of "Parts Per Billion," a project he joined last December.

Apparently, Pattinson had to ditch the film because he's too busy prepping for "New Moon," the sequel to last year's big-screen vampire romance.

Starring Rosario Dawson, Olivia Thirlby and Dennis Hopper, "Billion" follows three couples who risk being torn apart after struggling with the same event. The film is described as an ensemble story with different storylines.

Pattinson quickly rose to fame after he got the role as Edward Cullen in the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's popular book. Now his fans will have to wait a little longer until they get to see him in something other than a "Twilight" sequel.

New 'Watchmen' journal looks at Minutemen

6 January 2009 11:09 PM, PST

Who watches the Minutemen?

You, if you are eager to check out the latest "Watchmen" video journal right after the jump. This time around, Zack Snyder and other cast and crew members introduce and talk a bit about the Minutemen.

Although these video diaries are short, I have to say they are really entertaining and a great way to boost promotion and offer fans something to overcome the long wait.

Anyway, "Watchmen" is still on track to open March 6, 2009. Twentieth Century Fox, however, is trying everything to delay the release now that it has won the distribution war against Warner Bros.

Carla Gugino, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, Patrick Wilson, Billy Crudup, Jackie Earle Haley, Matthew Goode, Stephen McHattie and Matt Frewer star. Enjoy the clip below.

Domestic 'Street Fighter' trailer now online!

6 January 2009 11:08 PM, PST

Last week I posted the Japanese trailer for Andrzej Bartkowiak's upcoming "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li," and today IGN released the domestic English version, which you can check out after the jump.

Based on the popular video game series, the film follows female fighter Chun-Li on her quest for justice. Kristin Kreuk, Michael Clarke Duncan, Taboo and Moon Bloodgood star.

I've been having trouble warming up to this project ever since I first heard about it, and I really haven't changed my mind even though I've now seen the trailer in Japanese and English.

"Chun-Li" opens Feb. 27. Let me know what you think about the trailer and if you really care about this film in the first place. Enjoy!

Watch Kevin James in two 'Paul Blart' clips

6 January 2009 11:25 AM, PST

I love Kevin James on "King of Queens," I really do, but his couple of appearances on the big-screen didn't win mer over at all.

Okay, he was funny in "Hitch," but 2007's "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" was pretty dreadul and anything but funny.

Now James returns in the family friendly comedy "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," and to be honest, what I've seen so far is not at all hilarious.

In the film, James plays a dedicated security guard who tries to prevent a gang of criminals from taking over the mall. Sounds like a cool idea, but it doesn't look that great at this stage.

Check out two new clips from the movie after the jump. I personally don't think there is anything funny about James crawling on the floor etc, but who knows, maybe your kids will get a kick out of it. "Blart" opens Jan.

Simon Pegg, Nick Frost to star in 'Tintin'

6 January 2009 11:24 AM, PST

We haven't heard that much about Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson's ambitious "Tintin" project in a while, but the movie is certainly not dead. On the contrary, it's actually set to head into production in the coming months.

Now, according to the folks at Ain't It Cool News, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are on board to star as Thomson and Thompson. This info comes from one of their sources, so it has not been announced officially quite yet.

Okay, as you know these two characters totally look alike and Pegg and Frost share no physical similarities at all, but I think they'll somehow be able to make it work because the animated film will be shot in 3D using motion-capture technology.

Andy Serkis is also on board as Captain Haddock. Thomas Sangster was attached to star as Tintin, but he recently dropped out because of scheduling conflicts.

That's

Promotional trailer for Romero's '...of the Dead'!

6 January 2009 11:24 AM, PST

I'm always excited to see a new George A. Romero film. I mean, come on, he's the master of zombie flicks, and his creations are as interesting as they are entertaining.

Well, Romero is currently working on "...of the Dead" (yeah, that's actually the title for now), and a first promotional trailer for the project has just popped up online. I recommend you check it out after the jump.

On an island off the coast of North America, local residents simultaneously fight a zombie epidemic while looking for a cure to return their un-dead relatives back to their human state.

This sounds just like a good Romero pic, and as you can see below, it also looks like a good Romero pic. A release date has not been announced yet, but I sure hope we'll get to see this one some time later this year.

Romero most recently directed "Diary of the Dead,

Hayward most recently directed "Horton Hears a Who!" He also worked as a Pixar animator on films such as "Toy Story" and "Finding Nemo."

Not much is known about the plot of the film, but Hex is a bounty hunter and gunslinger with a scarred face. Apparently, the film version is a sort of sci-fi western featuring plenty of CG.
