During an interview for his new film Lakeview Terrace this morning, Samuel L. Jackson was asked about his upcoming film The Spirit.  At first he laughed and said he’d tell us about that in November, but he quickly relented and gave us his opinion about the style of the film.  (While I tried to resist the urge to pull out my iPhone and show him the purple phone saber...I’m sure I’d be the first.) “It’s a cartoon.  The movie is a cartoon.  To me.  I don’t know what everybody else is gonna think it is, but to me it’s a cartoon.  I mean, we do Wile E. Coyote kind of stuff.  You know, I hit him in the head with a toilets.  We’ve got wrenches as big as this room.  Bam!  I hit him with the wrench and he gets up.  We’re both pretty much indestructible.
