Melessa Vassell is a Film, Television, Theater and Voice-over Actress born in Jamaica. She began her career in Theater performing around the world; United Kingdom, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana but quickly transitioned to television making her debut appearance as a guest star in Marvel's Luke Cage.
She has also won numerous awards some of which include: 2017- Caribbean Film Festival 5th Annual Awards (3rd Place); 2016- Kiwanis Club of Kingston's Excellence Award for the Arts (2nd Place); 2015- Most Outstanding Acting Award, Caribbean Drama Festival; 2015- Winner of the International Monologue Slam Competition.
Along with being a Actress, Writer and Philanthropist, Melessa was crowned Miss Jamaica World 2nd Runner-Up in 2021. Recently starring in the recurring role of Shenice Green in Dahlia Harris' Thicker Than Water, the young Actress is proving herself to be a whirlwind sensation.
Melessa sees herself as a Storyteller and is excited about telling stories that inspires, motivates and uplifts people of diverse backgrounds on and off camera. The Actress who is also trained in contemporary dance, wants to create opportunities for other young people to tell their stories.
