“I liked the first season a little better than the second season.”
This sentiment is uttered by someone talking about the fictional podcast Only Murders in the Building, as opposed to talking about the Hulu comedy series about the three friends who make said podcast. But like a lot of jokes on the show, it applies to both — a meta acknowledgment that Hulu Season Two was widely considered a creative step down from Season One.

Los Angeles, August 2 (Ians) ‘Star Wars’ icon Billy Dee Williams, who is known for playing the famous character Lando Calrissian from the movies, will now be releasing a memoir titled ‘What Have We Here?’ which will cover his nearly eight-decade long career in show business.
Earlier, the actor had revealed the cover for his memoir with People magazine which showcased him dressed up as Lando Calrissian from ‘Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back’, twirling around in a cape strikingly reminiscent of the one he wore in the sci-fi franchise as head of the massive cloud city of Bespin.
I saw how many times throughout my life I wanted to go right and some force in the universe caused me to turn left instead, and things worked out,’ he told People in the interview for his cover reveal.

The third season of Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” (which streams in Canada on Disney+) is right around the corner, with a whole new hilarious whodunit to be tackled by the unlikely trio of Charles Haden-Savage (Steve Martin), Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) and Oliver Putnam (Martin Short).
In the first season, the trio investigated the murder of Tim Kono, a resident in their Manhattan apartment building who had a secret connection with Mabel, while the second saw Mabel framed for the murder of co-op board president Bunny, with the real murderer eventually revealed.

The second season concluded on a cliffhanger, with Oliver mounting a new Broadway production, starring Ben Glenroy (played by Paul Rudd) — who is killed onstage in the midst of opening night.

It makes all-too-perfect sense that the third season of Hulu's hit mystery-comedy "Only Murders in the Building" would set its sights on Broadway. The show has proudly been set and filmed in New York since its inception, and many of the supporting players have had long careers on the Great White Way in between appearing on the program, which focuses on a disparate trio living in a swanky apartment building who become podcasters and sleuths while trying to solve a mysterious death in their abode. The limits of the premise of the series -- as former TV star Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin) specified in the series premiere, they should keep their focus on what stories to tell to where they live -- were clear, though. At a certain point, if people kept dying in their building, it would strain credulity. With the third season of "Only Murders in the Building,...

When Cursed Princess Club Volume 1 opens, readers are launched into what feels like a fairly standard fairy tale kingdom, with three sibling princesses preparing to meet their prince charmings. But LambCat quickly turns the story on its head. Gwen, the youngest princess, doesn’t look like your standard fairy tale hero. Instead, people who don’t know her keep mistaking her for a witch due to her green complexion and somewhat threatening animal companions. Gwen soon discovers that in the woods near the palace, the Cursed Princess Club holds their meetings. Here princesses (and princes!) who have inconvenient and awful curses, but can’t break them, gather together to be who they are, no judgment.
While some of the princesses (and princes!) celebrate themselves without reservation, it’s harder for Gwen, who isn’t cursed—at least, as far...

The show must go on, as they say in the theater — but what if it’s held up by murder?
“Only Murders in the Building” returns August 8 with a new murder — and a new building, after Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) dropped dead on stage in the Season 2 finale. The Season 3 trailer shows Oliver (Martin Short), Charles (Steve Martin), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) teaming up once again to solve a deadly crime that hits too close to home — though Uma (Jackie Hoffman) thanks them for at least keeping the corpse out of the building this time.
For the victim this time is not just another Arconia resident, but a famous actor starring in what was supposed to be Oliver’s triumphant Broadway return. Now he has to debut a career-saving show while the death of its lead looms heavy. Everyone is a suspect, from costar Loretta — who can’t get through...

With the true crime TV movie “Boston Strangler,” Keira Knightley has made a welcome return to the genre she excels in — period dramas. The new Hulu telefilm chronicles the true story of Loretta McLaughlin, the reporter who connected the murders of the Boston Strangler and broke the story for Boston Record American.
The killer murdered 13 women in the 1960s and McLaughlin (Knightley) reported on the ongoing story alongside Jean Cole (Carrie Coon) while dealing with the sexism of the era at the same time. Utilizing an American accent, which Knightley doesn’t often do, the actress is a firm presence on screen and carries the TV movie on her shoulders. It’s her haunting facial expressions and dogged determinism as McLaughlin that propels the movie forward. Without Knightley’s cutting central performance, the movie might not have worked, as critics have noted.

John Cleese is clarifying the status of a controversial and allegedly transphobic scene in film “Life of Brian.”
Cleese, who confirmed he is adapting the 1979 comedy into a stage play, responded to a Daily Mail report claiming that he was strongly encouraged to cut a sequence involving a man asking to be called Loretta and talking about wanting to give birth.
The “Monty Python” star took to Twitter to slam the “misreporting” over the scene potentially being cut to appease modern audiences.
“A few days ago I spoke to an audience outside London. I told them I was adapting the ‘Life of Brian’ so that we could do it as a stage show (Not a musical),” Cleese wrote. “I said that we’d had a table-reading of the latest draft in NYC a year ago. All the actors — several of them Tony winners — had advised me strongly to cut the Loretta scene.

“Monty Python’s Life of Brian” star and cowriter John Cleese claims he never said he would cut a scene that many consider offensive to the trans community from the upcoming stage adaptation of his 1979 film.
What’s become known as the “Loretta” scene features one of the male characters declaring that he wants to be a woman and he asks his friends to call him Loretta from then on. The punchlines therein rely on humor that has not aged well with transgender activists and allies, as the scene is dismissive of trans people.
Cleese wrote Thursday that at a table reading of his upcoming stage adaptation of “Life of Brian” last year, he was “advised” to cut the Loretta scene — a proposition that he has “no intention” of considering.

Monty Python star John Cleese has expressed disdain for modern sensibilities and “PC culture” on several occasions in recent years. The comedian found a new battleground for those convictions by claiming that his plans to mount a stage adaptation of the 1979 comedy “Life of Brian” have been “misreported” by the Daily Mail (in a now amended article), particularly in regards to the potential decision to revive a controversial scene involving a transgender character.
Cleese shared his thoughts in a series of unthreaded posts on Twitter last Thursday.

‘Monty Python’ Star John Cleese Says ‘Life Of Brian’ Scene Won’t Be Cut Despite Modern Sensitivities
The Monty Python crew always looked on the bright side of life when it came to its classic film parody, The Life of Brian.
But Monty Python star John Cleese insists he never said that he would remove a politically incorrect scene from a stage adaptation of Life of Brian, even though the film’s 1979 sensibilities will not draw quite the laughs it once did, owing to the rise of trans issues awareness.
Cleese claims it was “misreported” that he was planning to cut the “Loretta” scene for an upcoming stage adaptation of the religious satire film. Instead, he said he has “no intention” of removing it.
The scene in question features a male character declaring that he wants to be woman named “Loretta,” and wants to have a child. Cleese’s character tells the man that the notion is ridiculous, while another suggets that they all advocate for his right to childbearing.
