Match #1: Fallon Henley def. Thea Hail The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Fallon Henley punched her ticket to Nxt Battleground by defeating her former friend Thea Hail, thanks to an unintentional assist from Chase U ally Ridge Holland. Hail had the upper hand and a frustrated Henley slid out of the ring and grabbed a chair, only to be thwarted by Holland. The Nxt official was unaware that it was Henley that introduced the weapon, and promptly ejected Holland as well as all of Chase U. Hail managed to rally without her teammates, but Henley managed to knock her around the ring before hitting a Shining Wizard to punctuate her win. After the match, Jacy Jayne’s friend Jazmyn Nyx attacked the helpless Hail.

Match #1: Wes Lee def. Josh Briggs The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The King of the West Side is back in Nxt as Wes Lee made his triumphant return to action against the big and bad Josh Briggs. Lee didn’t miss a beat in his return using his athleticism and his speed to disorient the much bigger Briggs, but he still took a couple of major hits from his bruising opponent. Briggs focused his attention on Lee’s back while Ivar made his way to commentary, but Lee dug deep and refused to give in. The former dominant North American Champion finally regained control before hitting a corkscrew moonsault and earning the win in his return.

Match #1: Noam Dar def. Dijak The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The numbers game of the Meta-Four proved dividends for Noam Dar as Supernova 11 conquered the much larger Dijak thanks to Lash Legend, Jakara Jackson, and Oro Mensah. Dijak laid into the Scottish Superstar, crushing him with brutal chops, strong strikes, and back-breaking tosses across the ring. Dar was even on the receiving end of a ring-shaking sit-out chokeslam. Dar managed to rally and hit a Fisherman Buster on the larger Dijak, parlaying that move into an armbar that incapacitated his arm. After trading incredible shots, Dijak became distracted by Mensah who jumped on the apron, allowing Dar to hit Nova Roller to pick up the huge win.

Match #1: Dijak def. Shawn Spears The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a match with major Nxt Stand & Deliver implications, Dijak managed outlast Shawn Spears in an incredible one-on-one match between two of the brand’s best. As the two Superstars warred inside the ring, Joe Gacy appeared from under the ring and stole Spears’ signature steel chair, seemingly helping his former rival Dijak. After a brutal, hard-hitting affair, Spears went looking for his chair only to find it missing. Hayes had Crews down in the middle of the ring but as he went for Nothing But Net, but Crews countered it into a pinfall and earned the stunning win for his team.

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. This is the first Actual show for the WWE this week (Raw was a recap show), with that let’s get into the review…
Match #1: Julius Creed def. Jd McDonagh The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
A focused and motivated Julius Creed became a huge problem for Jd McDonagh. With the disrespect towards Diamond Mine fresh on his mind, Creed used his freakish athleticism to lay waste to his opponent but the crafty McDonagh used his experience and tactical strikes down the larger Creed. As the war waged on, McDonagh went for a moonsault but Creed rolled out of the way, hit a spinebuster, and then clinched the victory with a sliding clothesline. After the match, Indus Sher appeared and challenged the Creed Brothers to a match at New Year’s Evil.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Wendy Choo def.

Match #1: Carmelo Hayes def. Axiom The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Axiom and Carmelo Hayes collided at Nxt Deadline as two of the competitors in the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge, only for both of them to come up short. Now in a one-on-one contest against each other, both men showed off their supreme athleticism and their savvy technician skills early on. Axiom took the match to another level thanks to an incredible dropkick and a snapping German Suplex as he flew through the ropes. A top rope Hurricanrana seemed to spell doom for Hayes, but interference from Trick Williams allowed Hayes to counter and follow up with Nothing But Net that delivered him the win.

Match #1: Axiom def. Andre Chase and Von Wagner The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Axiom, Andre Chase and Von Wagner battled each other with the final Iron Survivor Challenge spot on the line at Nxt Deadline. Von Wagner’s size and strength put him in the driver’s seat early with a double headlock followed by him plowing through his competitors. Von Wagner’s brutality forced Axiom and Chase to work together, but the pair turned on each other to try to get a quick win. As the action continued, Von Wagner resurfaced and mauled the two men, but his attempt at launching Axiom off the top rope went awry and allowed Chase to powerbomb the big man. Match #1: Nxt Title Match – Bron Breakker def. Von Wagner The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After weeks of conflict and confrontation, Nxt champion Bron Breakker and Von Wagner met inside the ring with the title on the line. The challenger gained the upper hand early, using Mr. Stone as a distraction to get an advantage. The rivals would take turns showing off their athleticism, but it was the gigantic Wagner who managed to chokeslam the champion onto the steel steps. Despite all of that, Breakker managed a flurry of thrilling moves including a power slam and a top rope Bulldog. As Wagner looked to end the match once and for all, he hoisted the champion into the air, but Breakker countered into a ferocious...

Breakker never took his eyes off Jd McDonagh throughout the match, and when Ilja Dragunov emerged all-out chaos erupted among the Halloween Havoc combatants.

Match #1: Carmelo Hayes def. Oro Mensah The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Carmelo Hayes and Oro Mensah are set to battle for the Nxt North American Title in a Ladder Match alongside three other competitors at Halloween Havoc, but the two Superstars took an early opportunity to begin stating their cases for championship gold. The two uber-athletic Superstars dropped jaws, as Mensah grabbed control with a flurry that ended with a backflip splash onto Hayes. An intervention by Trick Williams opened the door for Hayes to hit his patented diving leg drop off the top ropes and send a message to the haters who were ready to pile on his losing streak.

In the midst of a packed weekend of wrestling we’ve got this special “unification” Nxt pay-per-view, which sees Nxt and Nxt UK brands take each other on to unify the two brands into one now that Nxt UK is being closed down. Let’s see how the UK contingent fare in this PPV (badly is my guess – a burial seems on the cards) that aired at a sensible time for us UK fans to watch live without dying of exhaustion the next day!

The two Superstars went back-and-forth as Crews took control with a thunderous clothesline and a dropkick while mocking Waller. Crews continued to roll until Waller poked Crews in the eye forcing trainers to check on Crews’ condition. Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt 2.0, a show that – if I’m honest – rarely gets me excited to watch the programme these days. This week’s show was marked by the return of Zoey Stark during the 20-women Battle Royal! Let’s get into it.
Match #1: Jd McDonagh def. Cameron Grimes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The fireworks from last week’s heated confrontation led to a fiery showdown between Cameron Grimes and Jd McDonagh as the two Superstars traded fierce elbows and kicks before Joe Gacy mysteriously appeared to take in the match from above the ring. McDonagh targeted Grimes’ left leg throughout the match, wrapping it around the steel post before leveling Grimes with a chop block. Grimes attempted to rally on one good leg, but “The Irish Ace” caught him with a Glasgow Kiss before hanging Grimes up in the ropes for repeated kicks to the leg.

Well we can’t get back to reviewing WWE’s product without also checking out WWE Nxt 2.0, a show that hasn’t captured my attention as much as its previous incarnation did. Let’s see what this week’s episode has to offer!
Match #1: Josh Briggs def. Von Wagner The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The much anticipated “Battle of the Big Men” between Josh Briggs and Von Wagner did not disappoint as they bruised and battered each other all over the ring on Nxt 2.0. Both competitors had their posse in tow with Brooks Jensen, still in a cast, and Fallon Henley in the corner of Briggs and Mr. Stone and Sofia Cromwell in the corner of Wagner. The action was fast and furious in the ring and on the outside. At one point Wagner took Jensen by the cast and slammed the cast straight onto the unforgiving ring apron.

With Nxt North American Champion Carmelo Hayes singing his praises from the commentary desk, Trick Williams brought the fight and the trash talk to Guru Raaj. While talking trash to anyone who would listen, Williams overpowered his foe in the early goings and blasted him with a vicious spinning heel kick. Raaj briefly caught fire and staggered Williams with a reverse uppercut, but Williams once again blasted Raaj with a kick and caught him with a unique spinning neckbreaker for the three-count.
