King Charles “protects” Kate Middleton against any royal family members who question when she will return to royal duties. He threatens the “riot act” against anyone who speaks negatively about the Princess of Wales, claims a royal author.
King Charles is Kate Middleton’s protector
King Charles has become Kate Middleton’s fiercest champion. The king continues to stand up for the Princess of Wales as she recovers from a cancer diagnosis.
Fox News Digital spoke to Christopher Andersen, author of The King, about Charles’ more protective role toward his daughter-in-law. Anderson believes the king’s devotion to supporting Kate within the palace is raising eyebrows in the royal family.
“There are those inside and outside the palace who have criticized Kate over the years [before her diagnosis] for supposedly not shouldering her share of the royal burden. For not going to as many ribbon cuttings, hospital openings, and plaque unveilings as the late Queen Elizabeth II,...

A positive attitude. That’s what Kate Middleton has whenever she’s around Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis amid her ongoing cancer battle. The Princess of Wales is, per a royal author, being “upbeat,” along with her husband, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, whenever their children, ages 10, 9, and 6, are around.
Kate is ‘resolutely cheerful’ around George, Charlotte, and Louis as she continues cancer treatment
According to royal author Christopher Andersen, Kate is a constant “ray of light” in the royal family. “She remains a ray of light in what can often be a suffocatingly stuffy environment behind palace walls,” he told Us Weekly, noting William and Kate’s marriage “has been tumultuous” in the last year due to her health issues.

Agbo, the Russo Brothers’ media company, has launched an innovation department, expanding its physical and virtual production capabilities under the guidance of a seasoned executive team.
Under the new setup, Agbo’s technology experts will build proprietary creative tools, with the aim of fostering production innovation and cost efficiencies. The idea is for Agbo and its creative partners to be able to access the company’s emerging set of tools at every stage of development, production, and post-production.
Innovation will have three verticals: production technology, immersive technology and creative. It will be led by Jake Aust, who was recently promoted to Agbo’s Chief Innovation Officer. Over a 20-year career, Aust has been a producer on The Office and Russo-affiliated titles like TV’s Community and feature film Cherry. He was also an executive producer on The Gray Man and most recently served as Agbo’s President of Physical Production.

Agbo is going AI — at least it sounds like it is, at least in part.
The Russo Brothers’ independent studio announced on Wednesday the formation of a new Innovation department, which will blend Agbo’s “physical and virtual production capabilities.” The studio’s technologists will “build proprietary creative tools for storytellers, fostering production innovation and cost efficiency for content across diverse platforms,” the press release reads. The tools will be used in development, production, and post-production.
When reached by IndieWire, a spokesperson for Agbo declined to clarify how much of these tools will be AI or generative-ai. The use of AI in Hollywood is considered sacrilegious by some and an efficient use of technology by others. The truth is it can be both. AI has been the primary — or at least the most public-facing — issue in contract negotiations between the guilds and the studios.

British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will try to influence the 2024 U.S. presidential election on November 5.
According to the Mirror they are teaming up with “Hollywood power players” to prepare voters and plan to warn about a “deepfake onslaught.” If this drivel is to be believed, the traitors will croak about election misinformation.
Royal Family News: Harry and Meghan Will Protect America
Royal pundit Christopher Andersen told Fox News Digital that “Meghan in particular has not been shy about voicing her opinions on a wide variety of important social issues, including politically charged ones.”

Unsupported assertions and gormless naivety drive this mishmash of pseudoscience and manipulated religious doctrine
Clearly scheduled to give vegetarians and vegans ammunition to shame carnivorous family members around the Easter and Passover dinner table, this passionate but unpersuasive documentary argues that Jesus was probably a vegetarian. Ultimately, the theory gets largely traced back to the apocryphal Gospel of the Ebionites, a text that’s been around since the second century; director Kip Andersen, however, makes a whole song and dance out of “discovering” this notion in a roundabout way, making for an entertainingly barmy quest. By the end, we’re informed that scientists have found the supposedly “happiest human on Earth”: a vegan Buddhist monk named Matthieu Ricard who spends most of his time meditating on compassion and has “high-amplitude gamma activity” in his brain which means it “fires on the highest levels”.

Mermaid fairy tales have enjoyed lasting popularity since Andersen's “The Little Sea Maid” and La Motte-Fouqué's “Undine”. Recent (unequal) reboots can further attest to this enduring appeal. Nothing surprising when considering the universality of these legendary creatures across civilizations and times. As for Japanese folklore, the Ningyo has gained a significant prominence not long ago through Miyazaki's “Ponyo” (2008). Just a decade later, the director of the celebrated “Mind Game” (2004), Masaaki Yuasa, developed his own rendition, this time in the form of a coming-of-age narrative.

The line between art and activism is blurred — often to a fault — in The Strangers’ Case, a visceral migrant drama that plays less as a movie with a message than as a message with a movie.
Written and directed by Brandt Andersen, an executive producer (American Made, Everest), former NBA G League franchise owner and international activist, the film follows several characters whose lives are upended by the Syrian Civil War, switching points of view as it moves from the grim battlegrounds of Aleppo to the gates of Europe.
It can be an intense experience to sit through, and Andersen doesn’t hold back on the gruesome violence and nonstop tragedy many migrants suffered during the conflict — and continue to suffer to this day. But that doesn’t always make for great drama, nor for characters who go deep enough, resulting in a well-meaning film that feels half like a globetrotting Hollywood thriller,...

Meghan Markle might have another job title beyond actor, blogger, and British royal to someday add to her résumé: talk show host. An expert says they’d be “surprised” if she doesn’t go the route of Oprah Winfrey by creating a media empire. Not to mention, the Duchess of Sussex herself has hinted at “exciting” projects ahead for her and Prince Harry.
Meghan’s ‘well-suited’ to follow Oprah’s ‘career path’ by hosting a talk show
It’s simply a matter of time until Meghan enters the world of daytime talk shows, according to royal expert Christopher Andersen. “If Meghan doesn’t end up hosting a daytime syndicated talk show, I’ll be surprised,” he told Ok! magazine.

You've likely heard the story of "The Little Mermaid" many times before. It begins with a mermaid longing to explore the human world - a longing that intensifies when she falls in love with a prince. She then exchanges her voice with a sea witch for the opportunity to become human, and though the sea witch nearly ruins everything, ultimately, the mermaid gets her happily ever after. That story, which was most recently retold in Disney's live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid" starring Halle Bailey, is a classic, age-old fairy tale . . . or is it?
Actually, the "Little Mermaid" story most of us know and love is a rewrite of a much older, much bloodier fairy tale. In 1837, per ScreenRant, Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen penned the original "The Little Mermaid." It begins similarly to Disney's familiar version, starting out by focusing on a mermaid longing to be with a prince whom she can't reach.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex don’t necessarily have as many people in their corner as they once did. According to royal author Christopher Andersen, Harry and Meghan’s list of supporters has shrunk from the time of their Montecito, California, relocation in 2020 to now.
“Trying to carve out this new life for them in Hollywood, I suppose they expected the honeymoon to go on,” Andersen told UsWeekly. “And as time passed, more and more of their allies and friends and admirers have just fallen away.

When we think of Ariel, she’s a bright, brave character who captures hearts with her charm. Disney’s 1989 film adaptation painted a cheerful image of this underwater heroine. However, it’s a stark contrast to the darker narrative from which it originates. The 2023 Disney adaptation of The Little Mermaid, starring Halle Bailey, is also somewhat similar. The initial tale — authored by Hans Christian Andersen in 1837 — was far from the sugar-coated Disney version. It’s a heart-wrenching exploration of love, sacrifice, and regret buried deep under the sea of Disney’s storytelling. This article uncovers six elements from Andersen’s original...

Disney animation is famous for producing movies that are sweet, magical, romantic, and have uplifting happy endings that the whole family can enjoy. But if you go back to the source material they generally ignored, it turns out a lot of those childhood favorites should have had endings that were… different. Darker. Sadder. Sometimes even murder-y.

The Little Mermaid
The Little Mermaid is based on a story by 19th century Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. A lot of the details are pretty similar. A little mermaid who loves human things rescues and then falls in love with a human prince. She asks a sea witch to give her legs while sacrificing her voice to the witch in order to become human. However, the prince thinks another woman rescued him and agrees to marry her instead of the former mermaid. It is a relatively faithful adaptation for the most part.

This post contains spoilers for "The Little Mermaid."
The story of "The Little Mermaid" is an old one. Hans Christian Anderson wrote the original fable — about a mermaid who wants an immortal soul, and must earn it by winning the love of a human as part of a deal with a sea witch — in 1837. Using letters and correspondence to Anderson's friend Edvard Collin, some scholars have interpreted the story as an LGBTQ+ allegory, where the transformation of the mermaid into something that could love this man was a stand-in for Anderson being unable to consummate his love for Collin.
The story has been used for inspiration and fodder by everyone from Oscar Wilde to Shirley Temple, but the best-known iteration of the story was really the Disney animated musical that was released in 1989. The ending was notably changed from Andersen's original conclusion, in which the little mermaid's love...

In Hans Christian Andersen's original tale of "The Little Mermaid," first published in 1837, the titular mermaid longs to swim to the surface and explore the world of humans after falling in love with a human man. She visits a sea witch who has a potion that can give her legs in exchange for her voice; she will become human but won't be able to speak. In Andersen's world, mermaids don't have souls and, when they die, transform into sea foam rather than ascending into heaven.
In order to survive, the little mermaid will have to marry a human man before a certain amount of time elapses. It seems that the mermaid will not be successful in wooing the prince and is destined to become sea foam. At the last minute, the mermaid's sisters rally, giving their hair to the sea witch in exchange for a magical dagger. If...

[Editor’s note: The following interview contains some spoilers for “The Little Mermaid.”]
When “The Little Mermaid” filmmaker Rob Marshall thinks about his remake of the beloved 1989 Disney animated original, he’s clear: It is its own thing.
“It’s so funny how people hold onto things,” Marshall said in a recent interview with IndieWire. “They don’t realize that this is a different genre. You have to make it work as a live-action [film] as if there were never an animated film. It’s your chance to do things that work for the story. It’s all about story. It’s like taking a beautiful opera, a beautiful play, and doing it again. You look at it through a new lens. It’s not 1989, it’s 2023, so what can we bring to it and still hold on to the most important things that really still work, but then kind of reimagine it?”

London, May 23 (Ians) While images of food are known to influence binge eating, it can also trick the brain into feeling full, if we see pictures of the same product repeatedly, according to a study. Researchers from Aarhus University in Denmark carried out a number of experiments which revealed that we can get a sense of satiety if we see the same image more than 30 times, which may help us curb overeating.
“The participants who were shown the picture many times also chose a smaller portion than those who had only seen the picture three times, when we subsequently asked about the size of the portion they wanted,” Tjark Andersen, from the Department of Food Science at Aarhus.
It may sound strange that the participants felt full without actually eating anything. But this is really quite natural, explained Andersen. How we think about food has a large influence on our appetite.

“Mr Andersen was first appointed as head coach on December 13, 2021. With his rich experience as a player and a coach, he introduced a high-pressing and more aggressive style of playing into the Hong Kong team,” the Hkfa was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
“Overcoming obstacles brought about by the Covid-19 epidemic, he successfully led our team to qualify for the AFC Asian Cup for the first time in more than 50 years,” it added.
Discussing his renewal, Andersen said the improvement shows his team is on the right track, adding that he expected good results in the future.

Prince Harry‘s officially going to the coronation, which a commentator’s calling a “do-or-die moment” in his and Meghan Markle’s relationship with the royal family. Harry’s headed to London, England, to watch his dad officially become king on May 6. Although it’s not likely to be a joyous family reunion.
Based on commentator Christopher Andersen’s prediction, it might look similar to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s final engagement as senior “working” royals. As in the tense Commonwealth Day service they attended alongside other royals in March 2020.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle | Toby Melville – Wpa Pool/Getty Images Expert says Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face ‘lose-lose’ situation with coronation
Will Prince Harry and Meghan attend the king’s coronation? There has been plenty of speculation, with one expert believing the couple is in a “lose-lose” situation.
Royal expert Christopher Andersen, author of The King, weighed in on the matter, telling Fox News Digital, “It’s really lose-lose for the Sussexes unless the rest of the family suddenly decides to do an about-face and embrace them.”
He continued, “I don’t see that happening. There is too much bitterness there. Too many bridges have been burned.”

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have not revealed if they are attending King Charles III’s coronation as their spokesperson would only confirm they received an invite saying in statement: “I can confirm the duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the coronation. An immediate decision on whether the duke and duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time.”
But Harry did travel to the U.K. for a court hearing in his privacy case against Associated Newspapers Ltd. on March 27 and many wondered if he was going to try and meet with his father or brother while he was in town. They did not meet with Harry and commentators believe that is a sign of things to come for the Duke of Sussex and Meghan if they attend the coronation.

Three projects pitched at Cph:forum – the industry program of Cph:dox, the Copenhagen-based documentary festival – have been awarded cash prizes. They are Robin Petré’s “Only on Earth,” Iryna Tsilyk’s “Red Zone” and Yegor Troyanovsky’s “Cuba & Alaska.” The filmmakers were awarded at a ceremony in the Danish capital on Thursday.
Petré’s “Only on Earth” garnered the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award worth €20,000 for best pitch. The docu, produced by Signe Skov Thomsen, and Malene Flindt Pedersen, depicts a journey deep into one of Europe’s hottest fire zones, Galicia, where wild horses roam the mountains under the watch of local cowboys. These horses are excellent at fire prevention, but now they are vanishing in the clash between humans and nature.
Emma Scott, Rikke Tambo Andersen (producer at Tambo Film) and Heino Deckert Makri (producer at ma.ja.de.) made up the team of jurors for the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award.

Based on the classic story by Hans Christian Andersen, the Audible version has been adapted by lyricist Dina Gregory with Pinnock providing narration.
Gregory wove some of Pinnock’s own lived experiences into the story and the former Little Mix member invited singers anaiis, Kersha Bailey, Sairah Rowe and Nadine Samuels to provide original vocals. The project is produced by String and Tins.
Anderson’s story follows a young mermaid who makes a deal with a sea witch to trade her beautiful voice for human legs so she can discover the world above water and impress a prince.

So I kinda like Sarah Andersen’s cartoons, as discerning readers may have noticed [1]: she writes funny, she draws funny, and she has a quirky sensibility that means she tells goofy “I am an introvert” jokes that are familiar and relatable but not obvious. Just really good at the being-funny-in-public thing, with a distinct sensibility and viewpoint and art style.
Also, her books are short and breezy, which means they’re easy to pick up on a day when you feel like reading funny cartoons and not like diving into a whole thing of a graphic novel.
So: I think I’ve read all of her books in the past year, and am now caught up. Cryptid Club , which came out about a month ago, was the most recent, and I just caught up with the fourth collection of her main “series” Sarah’s Scribbles, Oddball .
