Match #1: Sol Ruca def. Izzi Dame The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The first entrant into the Nxt Women’s North American Title Ladder Match at Nxt Battleground was determined when Sol Ruca and Izzi Dame went toe-to-toe for the honor. Ruca looked to use her aerial attack but took a hard fall to the outside before Dame chucked her onto the announce table. Dame, even without former mentor Kiana James by her side, grounded the high-flying Ruca. Just as Dame looked to be in control, Ruca hit the Soul Snatcher, booking her ticket to Las Vegas.

Match #1: Noam Dar def. Dijak The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The numbers game of the Meta-Four proved dividends for Noam Dar as Supernova 11 conquered the much larger Dijak thanks to Lash Legend, Jakara Jackson, and Oro Mensah. Dijak laid into the Scottish Superstar, crushing him with brutal chops, strong strikes, and back-breaking tosses across the ring. Dar was even on the receiving end of a ring-shaking sit-out chokeslam. Dar managed to rally and hit a Fisherman Buster on the larger Dijak, parlaying that move into an armbar that incapacitated his arm. After trading incredible shots, Dijak became distracted by Mensah who jumped on the apron, allowing Dar to hit Nova Roller to pick up the huge win.

Before the match could even begin, Paxley attacked Perez as the two brawled at the ringside area. Paxley put up a fight, but a Pop Rox into a crossface from Perez sealed the victory. Jordan was unfazed by the experience of James and the threat of Izzi Dame on the outside as she even hit a picture-perfect moonsault to the outside to take them both out. Match #1: Noam Dar & Oro Mensah def. Von Wagner & Mr. Stone The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Von Wagner and Mr. Stone have never been on the same page more than they have been right now, but it still wasn’t enough to trip up The Meta-Four. The chaos started early as all four Superstars brawled before the match even began, but thankfully an official broke it up long enough for the bout to begin. The action was fast and furious with Wagner showing off his incredible power, but the numbers game of The Meta-Four factored in as Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend distracted the official long enough for Mensah to hit a cheap shot and allow Dar to sneak in the winning pinfall.

Match #1: Wes Lee, Tyler Bate & Mustafa Ali def. Schism The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The mystifying Schism was no match for the combined forces of Mustafa Ali, Tyler Bate, and the Nxt North American Champion, Wes Lee. The camaraderie of Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, & Jagger Reid was on point to begin the match as they flexed their collective muscles to keep their opponents down and off-balance. The action broke down and it caused the official to miss Bate tagging into the match, but Gacy’s pinfall on Lee was broken up by a second official recognizing the error. Lee, Bate, and Ali used the confusion to their advantage and defeated Schism to put this terrible ordeal behind them.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Thea Hail def.

Match #1: Weaponized Steel Cage Match – Gigi Dolin def. Jacy Jayne The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Gigi Dolin exorcised the demon that is Jacy Jayne as she defeated her tag team partner inside a Weaponized Steel Cage Match. Before the match could even begin, Jayne attacked Dolin and brutalized her on the outside before tossing her into the ring through the open door. The two former members of Toxic Attraction used a bevy of dangerous weapons including belts, chains, thorn-wrapped bats, trash cans, and even the cage itself. After Jayne set up a table, the two Superstars scaled the cage and found themselves precariously placed high above the ring. Suddenly, Dolin found her footing and launched Jayne through the...

Welcome to the results and review of this past weekend’s Nxt: Battleground pay-per-view, which continues the “Battleground” branding from the main roster, where the PPV started Ten years ago! Let’s see what went down…
Match #1: Nxt North American Championship – Wes Lee def. Tyler Bate and Joe Gacy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Wes Lee walked out of Nxt Battleground with his historic Nxt North American Championship reign still intact as he knocked off both Tyler Bate and Joe Gacy in Triple Threat action. The champion and Bate have been allies in recent weeks, but Bate’s desire to be champion has soured the friendship and forced the two to come to blows with the villainous Gacy watching in the shadows. The two Superstars put their differences aside to begin the match to neutralize the leader of Schism, much to Gacy and Ava’s dismay. All...

Match #1: Nxt Women’s Championship Tournament – Lyra Valkyria def. Cora Jade The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Generation of Jade will have to wait as Lyra Valkyria punched her ticket to the Finals of the Nxt Women’s Championship Tournament at Nxt Battleground. Jade seemingly had Valkyria right where she wanted her, but the Irish Superstar countered at the last second and hit a crushing roundhouse kick to stun her opponent and send her to Nxt Battleground.

Match #1: Nxt North American Championship – Wes Lee def. Drew Gulak The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The addition of Tyler Bate in his corner proved to be a smart decision as Wes Lee extinguished the threat of Drew Gulak & Charlie Dempsey en route to retaining the Nxt North American Championship. The contrast of styles was evident as the high-flying Lee countered the mat technician Gulak as did Gulak to him, making for a thrilling match with innovative moves. Dempsey managed to attack Lee when the referee had his back turned, but Bate hit a corkscrew elbow from off of the steel steps and neutralized the threat. That boost allowed Lee...

Match #1: Triple Threat Match for the Nxt Tag Team Championship – Gallus def. The Dyad and The Creed Brothers The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Gallus boys remained on top after a chaotic and enthralling Triple Threat Match for the Nxt Tag Team Championships. Before the match even began, all three teams engaged in a frenetic brawl with multiple officials being needed to break up the action. All three teams gave it their all with Julius Creed showcasing his incredible offense, but in the waning moments, his loyalty is what cost his team. The Iron King is back, and thus Gallus is once again at full strength. Match #1: Kenny Williams def. Ashton Smith and Amir Jordan – Triple Threat Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Kenny Williams is the final competitor in the Nxt UK Heritage Cup Tournament. Williams overcame Ashton Smith and tag team partner Amir Jordan, pinning Smith after planting him with a gigantic tornado Ddt. Williams will take on Trent Seven in a first-round matchup.

Match #1: Kay Lee Ray & Jinny def. Piper Niven & Dani Luna The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the opening matchup, Nxt UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray joined forces with Jinny against Piper Niven and up-and-comer Dani Luna. In the final moments, The Fashionista neutralized Niven by hurling her into the steel ring steps. She then delivered a hard right to Luna from the apron and paved the way for The Scary Queen of Scots to hit the Gory Bomb on Luna for the victory.
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – Overall, this wasn’t half bad. There’s some fine wrestlers in here, but the match…I don’t know.

May 29, 2014. The date of the very first Nxt TakeOver show. Man… that was over five years ago, and in the time since that show aired live in the WWE Network, we’ve seen so much change. Not just in Nxt, but in WWE in general and in the world of pro-wrestling. Going back to that first show highlights not only how much has changed, but how far Nxt as a brand has come. It’s about to go live every week on the USA Network as a two-hour show, head-to-head with the first potential wrestling competition to WWE in years, Aew. The landscape of wrestling is different now. Going back, for the sake of this article to watch every Nxt TakeOver show was no small undertaking. There’s been 26 (28 including the UK TakeOver shows) of them to date. Still… I’m a huge fan of Nxt and it’s hardly...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I used to be Amanda Bynes, but a bee stung me and I turned into a pasty-faced loser who can’t even spell the word “a”. It took me twenty minutes to figure out what letter to press for that damn word. I miss my old variety show. I made Taran Killam famous! That big dumb lurch owes me a buck an hour. I was friends with a giant lobster. Any-way, Nxt UK is on the docket, so let’s get my Penelope wig back from the Nickelodeon storage locker, because I want my !@#$?%& show back! Amanda please!

Welcome to this review of Nxt UK: TakeOver – Cardiff, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some fine wrestling to get to here, so let’s get right to it.
Match #1: Noam Dar def. Travis Banks The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Although Travis Banks missed the inaugural Nxt UK TakeOver in Blackpool after being attacked by Jordan Devlin back in January, The Kiwi Buzzsaw journeyed to Cardiff ready to take full advantage of the big TakeOver stage against the outspoken Noam Dar. In the early moments of an explosive contest, Banks seemed to injure his shoulder as well as his knee, and Dar attacked the weak spots like a shark that smelled blood. But the resilient Banks battled through the pain, opening the door for both skilled competitors to leave it all on the mat with an inedible display of high-octane offense that produced near-fall after near-fall.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Simon Pegg hates Jar Jar Binks, which is weird, since Pegg kinda looks like Jar Jar. Meesa no’um look like Brad Pitt…cuz ain’t no cave in Yorkshire. Okay, let’s jump right in to an episode of Nxt UK and see how much action we get out of the deal.
Match #1: Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) def. The Hunt The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Despite the unorthodox style of The Hunt’s Wild Boar and Primate, Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner defended their sacred mat against their animalistic opponents in Nxt UK’s opening contest, showcasing exquisite tag team precision that culminated with stereo dropkicks and the uppercut into the powerbomb on Wild Boar for the three-count.
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was fun for what it was,...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a packed hour to get to, so let’s make like The Force Awakens and steal all of our ideas from A New Hope/actual Star Wars movie. It’s Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi. Don’t give me an episode number. Okay, Nxt UK starts…yesterday. This is a little late. No episode numbers. The UK Awakens. There. That works.
Match #1: Flash Morgan Webster def. Mark Coffey The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the first of two matches set up for the Welshmen to prove their worth to General Manager John Saint and secure an opportunity to represent their home country at Nxt UK TakeOver: Cardiff, the innovative offense of Flash Morgan Webster was pitted against the hard-hitting Mark Coffey of Gallus.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Dave Mastiff fighting Joe Coffey in the main event, so get that mud off your pants and get ready to dance like Bruce Springsteen in a Bombay tickle shack.
Match #1: Noam Dar def. Ashton Smith The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After scoring a hard-fought victory against Aston Smith with a Nova Roller in the opening contest, The Scottish Supernova informed the WWE Universe that he will be at Nxt UK Takeover: Cardiff, but it remains unclear just who the outspoken competitor may face at the Aug. 31 event on WWE Network.
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was a good match featuring the guy who just keeps getting better in Dar and a guy who ain’t half bad at all. Did you see the reboot of 90210? It confused the @&%? out of me.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we’ve got Walter slamming some poor bastard to death in the main event, so come on back for a snuff video starring a German. Sauerkraut!
Match #1: Noam Dar def. Kenny Williams The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
At Kenny Williams’ request, The Lucky Yin battled his former friend turned bitter enemy Noam Dar in the opening contest. The animosity between the two competitors who know each other so well was clear from the word “go,” and the tension created a highly-personal, yet very intriguing contest both inside and outside the ring. When Williams’ sneaker came off in the height of the action, Dar used it as a distraction, and with the referee’s back turned, The Scottish Supernova hit a low blow on his opponent and quickly followed up with...
