Gerard Groves (born 9 December 1996) is a digital producer and filmmaker. In early 2007, Gerard began publishing digital short films to YouTube as a child, and has ever since been producing online content.
Since 2015, he has been working for the BBC on digital teams in BBC News and BBC Three - specializing in short-form social content. Notable works include 'Autistic Journeys': a heartwarming and emotional short film he produced, presented, and directed for the BBC with Christopher Eccleston. It was funded by BBC Raw, a project championed by television legend Danny Cohen.
His experience ranges from managing the BBC YouTube channel to self-shooting video across the country.
More recently Gerard has been working on longer online-first documentaries for BBC Three in the BBC's Original Journalism Unit. Focusing on filming, editing and GFX.
