Bleecker Street has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Sean Ellis’ World War II drama “Anthropoid,” from Ld Entertainment, the company announced Thursday. Jamie Dornan (“Fifty Shades of Grey”) and Cillian Murphy (“Peaky Blinders”) star along with Charlotte Le Bon, Ana Geislerova, Harry Lloyd, Bill Milner and Tony Jones. “Anthropoid” is based on the true story of “Operation Anthropoid,” the code name for Czech operatives’ mission to assassinate SS officer Reinhard Heydrich. He was the Reich’s third in command behind Hitler and Himmler. In addition to directing, Ellis wrote the screenplay with Anthony Frewin. “Anthropoid” is produced by Mickey Liddell,...

From the writer of Hoosiers and Rudy comes a sports drama based on the true story of Ut Austin college football star Freddie Steinmark (Finn Wittrock) who, in 1969, after winning the national title, was faced with the biggest challenge of his life. In this heartwarming tale of grit and faith, Coach Darrell Royal (Aaron Eckhart) reflects back on Freddie’s journey from being determined underdog – supported at times only by the love of his parents (Robin Tunney and Michael Reilly Burke) and his high school sweetheart (Sarah Bolger) – to a hero both on and off the field.

The big screen take on Dad's Army arrives in cinemas in 2016, and we get our first proper glimpse of it right here.
The movie features Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Tony Jones, Michael Gambon, Tom Courenay, Blake Harrison, Bill Paterson and Daniel Mays. And it would be fair to say that they have some big boots to fill, if they want to come close to the majesty of the TV show that the new film is based on.
Oliver Parker directs this one (he previously rebooted St Trinian's, and helmed the likes of Johnny English Reborn and Dorian Gray). Hamish McColl has penned the script.
Here, then, is the first trailer, and the official synopsis. Trailer first...

Grab your backpack, apply some sunscreen, and keep your wits about you, because we could be returning to Mick Taylor territory in the outback. Since we first saw him approach Liz, Kristy, and Ben's campfire in 2005's Wolf Creek, the malevolent Mick has popped up again in 2013's Wolf Creek 2 and in two prequel novels, but the rugged killer with a warped sense of humor isn't done yet. John Jarratt is set to reprise his role as Mick Taylor in a six-part series for the Australian video-on-demand service Stan, and Greg McLean, the writer/director of the two Wolf Creek films and co-author of the tie-in books, is developing the miniseries.
A project from Screentime (a Banijay Group company and Emu Creek Pictures), the six-part Wolf Creek series is described as "a compelling, psychologically complex and visually spectacular suspense series driven by a young woman’s quest for justice.

Director: Susanne Bier
Writer: Christopher Kyle
Producers: 2929 Productions’ Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner, Ben Cosgrove, Chockstone Pictures’ Paula Mae and Steve Schwartz, Nick Wechsler
U.S. Distributor: Rights available
Cast: Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Tony Jones, Rhys Ifans
While we were expecting Susanne Bier’s latest, a return to English language filmmaking after her 2007 Halle Berry starring Things We Lost In the Fire, to bow in 2013, it looks like this will be pushed into this year due to the oversaturated Jennifer Lawrence/Bradley Cooper market. This was meant their first project together post Silver Linings, but it looks like we’ll have to be happy with American Hustle instead, this season. Meanwhile, Bier has been on a roll herself since winning the Oscar for Best Foreign Language film with In a Better World. She’s several other irons in the fire currently, but look for this to be her next release.
