Eva-Marie was born in New York City, USA to an American mother and Swiss-German father. Early on the family moved to Vaud, Switzerland where she spent the majority of her youth. She began acting on stage as a teenager in Geneva before being accepted to the Gymnase Auguste-Piccard in Lausanne due to her skills as a pianist. After spending the summers commuting to the UK to study first at Sylvia Young Theatre School and then The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she moved permanently at 17 to study at University College London. There she was scouted by her first modeling agency and also started working professionally as a film actress, securing her first screen role in The Circle (2017). After graduating with a degree in Biological Sciences she returned to acting at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama under the tutelage of Amanda Brennan. Her love of film prompted her to explore all aspects of her industry, working in between acting jobs as an art director for projects such as Outsiders (2021) (dir. Grace Parry) and Sucker (2022) (dir. Alix Austin) as well as in production and casting. She also writes spoken word and classically influenced poetry, with several of her pieces published in recognized journals.
