It’s a testament to the Marvel brand that a character like Ant-Man not only received his own successful film franchise, but also played what is arguably the most important role in the highest-grossing movie of all time. Had fate not intervened and Scott Lang remained stuck in the Quantum Realm, it’s likely that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes never would have been able to defeat Thanos and beloved characters like Spider-Man and Black Panther would’ve remained dead.
So, how does Marvel plan on repaying such a pivotal hero? Apparently, by shelving him for a while.
Sources – the same ones who confirmed Taskmaster as the villain of Black Widow months ago, among many other scoops – have told We Got This Covered that Marvel won’t be moving forward with an Ant-Man 3 anytime in the near future, nor is Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) or Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) likely...

Marvel revealed their full Phase 4 line-up at Comic-Con and, though they weren’t on the slate, chief Kevin Feige did confirm that the X-Men would be joining the McU in the not-so-distant future. This leaves us to wonder if the movies set to be released over the next few years will sow the seeds for the arrival of mutantkind in the franchise. It’s certainly possible, and one film that could set up the X-Men is Blade.
Even though the supernatural-themed flick doesn’t seem like the natural place for the mutants to feature, there are a few ways to make it work. The Hollywood Reporter has come up with an intriguing list of ways that Mahershala Ali’s solo movie as the vampire hunter could be the place to fold the X-Men into the McU. For one, THR points out that classic team member Jubilee has been a vampire for a time.

Even though the Marvel Cinematic Universe certainly has much else on tap over the next few years, we’d be stupid not to think another Avengers movie won’t take shape somewhere down the line. After all, it’s pretty much a certainty that major dough will be raked in whenever the studio’s most notable heroes come together on the big screen.
As you may have heard, Kevin Feige himself said that a radically different lineup will unite when the time comes and, more recently, our source told us which characters are being discussed for inclusion. To briefly recap, the New Avengers will be Captains Marvel and America, the Mighty Thor, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Shang-Chi, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, the Wasp and Blade.
By “the Mighty Thor,” we do, in fact, mean Jane Foster’s Thor. Set to soon headline her own picture in the form of Love and Thunder,...
