- Stephen H Koontz was born in the south and raised in the north. He is currently a director and producer for short films and promotional work in Minneapolis.
His first attempt at filmmaking goes back to international travels with his dad. For 20 years they documented and edited their long excursions together. Stephen also attempted to remake Martin Scorsese's "Casino" in the seventh grade. A film he has said was one of the first to inspire him to become a director.
