Welcome to this review of Hard to Kill, the first pay-per-view in the New era of Tna Wrestling, which emanated from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas; and – as usual – kicked off with a special 1-hour Countdown show… Let’s get straight into the review!
Countdown Match #1: Steve Maclin def. Rich Swann The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
The first match of the new era is a battle of former World Champions! Swann is on a roll but Maclin shuts down his momentum with a mid-air forearm shot. Maclin hits a backbreaker for two. Maclin hits a modified cutter out of the corner for another near fall. Swann fights back with the 450 Splash for a near fall of his own. Maclin regains control with the Jarhead-butt. Swann is Caught in the Crosshairs, followed by the Kia from Maclin to win.

Netflix has dropped a teaser for Dave Chappelle’s upcoming New Year’s Eve special, Dave Chappelle: The Dreamer.
The first look is narrated by Morgan Freeman, who asks, “What do you dream about? Not the dreams you have in your sleep, the ones you hold in your heart. Don’t be intimidated by the audacity of your dream — be inspired by it.”
The teaser then cuts to Freeman sitting next to Chappelle. As the pair watch the special, Freeman says, “What happens to a dream deferred? Lucky for Dave, he doesn’t know.”
The Dreamer was shot in Chappelle’s hometown of Washington, DC at the historic Lincoln Theatre and was directed by Emmy Award winner Stan Lathan, who has helmed all seven of Chappelle’s specials for the streaming giant.
The Dreamer follows Chappelle’s last special, The Closer, which debuted on Netflix on Oct. 5, 2021. The special was...

It was an X-Division showcase as Alan Angels went one-on-one with Samuray Del Sol in Chicago, which was the site of this year’s historic Bound For Glory event. U.S. outfit Parmar Entertainment’s Daljit DJ Parmar along with Samir Gupta from India’s Impact Films and filmmaker Mohit Ramchandani (“Dreamer”) have acquired film adaptation rights to upcoming novel “The Muziris Empire” by U.K. author Hamish Morjaria.
The first in a trilogy, the book is set to be released by Pan Macmillan in summer 2024. It delves into India’s ancient history and its connection to the Roman Empire, unravelled by rebellious archaeologist Harveen Gill. Moving back and forth in time and set in present-day Kerala – once home to the ancient city of Muziris – the story revolves around Gill and a team of Indian archaeologists hunting down clues to locate the site of the ruins of the lost empire of Muziris. The soon-to-be-head of Santa Alleanza, a sacred alliance founded to safeguard the interests of the Vatican and the Papacy, is keeping close tabs on the Indian team’s progress,...

The Flash arrived on the CW as an antidote to the heavy, bleak world of Arrow. Our Scarlet Speedster was going to be a bright, upbeat superhero series and it was—at first. With each successive season, it grew bleaker and more chaotic as an overstuffed cast all demanded screentime and the writing staff never seemed to grasp that there were other villains than those connected to the Speed Force.
The 2022-23 television season brought us The Flash’s ninth and final season, providing a chance to give closure to the core characters. Tomorrow, Warner Home Entertainment releases The Flash: The Complete Ninth and Final Season.
Across the truncated season, everyone had a moment to shine, get their due, take a bow and move aside so the Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Nora West Allen (Candice Patton) center got to have the last word as they finally welcomed Nora to the preset.

Kiefer is back with a new song, “Dreamer”. After several live band projects, the L.A. based artist has returned to his roots – playing keys and making beats. “Dreamer” arose from the optimism that Kiefer says is a pillar of his personality. He says: “I’m an optimist, an idealist, and someone who wishes for things that maybe cannot be.”
Since his debut LP Kickinit Alone, Kiefer Shackelford has become synonymous with a scene of artists whose music draws on and orbits around jazz without fitting neatly into a single genre. That scene includes some of Kiefer’s close collaborators Carrtoons and Theo Croker, while his signature piano playing and production have been sought after by stars from Drake to Anderson .Paak – with Kiefer winning a Grammy Award for his work with the latter.
“Dreamer” is the first taste from a new album, set for release later this year. While...

Dolly Parton is, of course, the face of her theme park, Dollywood. But is she more than that? Just how involved in the day-to-day is the Queen of Country?
Dolly Parton | Ron Davis/Getty Images Dolly Parton always wanted to have her own theme park
Dolly Parton is the queen of manifestation. From a young age she’d write down big dreams for herself to accomplish. She’d marvel as each and every one of them came true. One early dream of the “Jolene” singer’s was to have her own theme park in her beloved Smoky Mountains.
“When I was growing up here in the Great Smoky Mountains, we used to come every now and then down to this area,” she told USA Today. “When it was the county fair, we’d come to town, and I used to think if I make it big, if I get rich...

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe was busy changing the way Hollywood studios approach their biggest franchises (and all which that implies), The CW and DC were off making TV history with the Arrowverse. Much like the House of Ideas' multimedia superhero property, the Arrowverse was all over the place in terms of its quality and success. Certain killjoys would tell you its flagship series went on for way too long, while others would blame its limited resources and financing for preventing it from truly doing justice to the epic comic book arcs it adapted.
Overall, though, the Arrowverse was a daring experiment in the best way. That's why we're hitting the pause button and reflecting on its legacy before DC Studios head honchos James Gunn and Peter Safran usher in their shiny-new unified vision for all things DC-related.

Let’s play a game: Picture a Fast Saga action sequence. Dom’s crew dragging a vault down a highway in Rio. Vin Diesel dropping a parking garage on Jason Statham (who is somehow not horrifically crippled afterward). Michelle Rodriguez harpooning Gina Carano out of a plane as it’s speeding down the tarmac. Doesn’t matter which one. Dreamer’s choice. Now, mentally swap out Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, etc. with any of the Looney Tunes. The effect is more or less the same.
Love it or hate it, The Fast and the Furious brand has gotten so much mileage out of its cartoonish approach to action that it’s tough to dismiss its charm. Its latest installment, the big, messy, brazen Fast X, is every bit as silly and platitude-heavy as its predecessors, but with an added advantage: Jason Momoa. The guy is the chest-baring, twinkle-eyed embodiment of twisted playfulness,...

After a couple of interlude episodes, CW’s “The Flash” is back on track, bringing Barry back into action, but somehow the eighth episode of this final season, titled “Partners in Time,” still feels like a filler or interlude. In the previous episode, we saw the Dreamer, aka Nia Nal, get her farewell in the Arrowverse. Mark Blaine left the team and went on a journey of his own after he realized his mistake of forcing Khione to shape herself in the image of his deceased partner, Frost. The pain Khione felt after Mark’s departure manifested into her newfound cryokinetic powers. The eighth episode focuses on Barry and Iris as they struggle with the responsibilities of upcoming parenthood in their own way and once again get into a loop, but unlike the time loop situation in the first episode, this one focuses on being stuck in space.

As the final season of CW’s “The Flash” slowly approaches its last lap, fan-favorite characters are brought back into the series to provide their arcs with the gratifying ends they so deserve. Nia Nal, aka the Dreamer, possibly makes her final appearance in the Arrowverse with the episode “Wildest Dreams,” which is the last part of the ongoing interlude chapter of the ninth season of “The Flash,” and the character gets a befitting send off as she realizes her true worth as the generational hero. Previously, viewers also found Mark to be in distress as he processed Frost’s demise and his willingness to turn Khione, a third personality of Caitlin Snow, into the image of his deceased partner. This episode also sheds some light on that storyline as well.

As The Flash hit the midpoint of its final season, a visit from Nia Nal aka Dreamer brought much drama, but also some updates on Supergirl and a few of her superfriends.
For starters — and as set up during Ryan Wilder aka Batwoman’s recent visit to Central City — Nia (played by Supergirl‘s Nicole Maines) showing up unannounced at Central City Citizen Media to ask Iris for help wasn’t entirely random. Because apparently, Iris took Ryan up on her offer and recently — albeit off-screen, grrr — joined Ryan, Nia, Kara Danvers/Supergirl and her sister Alex/Sentinel for mimosa brunch.

The following contains The Flash spoilers
The Flash Season 9 Episode 7
Although we’re well into The Flash’s final season, the show appears to be taking a breather before gearing up for its last run (pun absolutely intended) with a handful of what showrunner Eric Wallace likes to call “interludes,” quieter installments that tend to focus on smaller stories or highlight the show’s supporting characters. “Wildest Dreams” isn’t an hour that necessarily moves the plot of the season forward all that much—though it does touch once again on Iris’ emotional discomfort with the idea of her future being a set path that doesn’t allow her to make her own choices—but it’s a great example of the deft interconnectivity that has always been a hallmark of The CW’s Arrowverse.
With The Flash concluding with season 9 and the futures of shows like Superman & Lois uncertain,...

Wake up, folks! The parade of Arrowverse alums continues to march through The Flash‘s final season on Wednesday, March 29, with a visit from Nicole Maines, who revives her Supergirl role as Nia Nal, aka Dreamer for a very heady mission. Not only does the episode, “Wildest Dreams,” find a new way to explore alternate timelines without Barry (Grant Gustin) messing things up, but it also marks a long-awaited team-up for two of the Arrowverse’s fierce female journalists. Here, the new Yellowjackets member, advocate, and comic-book writer fills us in on her trip to Central City and what it was like to slip back into her history-making role. It was so exciting when this was announced back in December. How was it for you to step back into… well, I’m guessing you stepped back into the costume, right? Nicole Maines: Yeah, it was.
