Jason Priestley is standing up against Harvey Weinstein -- again.
Last week, a friend of Priestley's -- voice actress Tara Strong -- revealed via Twitter that the 90210 alum had "punched Harvey Weinstein in the face at a club one night." Strong was sharing the story she had heard secondhand in response to a tweet from Mira Sorvino, who had woken up Friday morning to discover what she had long suspected: that Weinstein had derailed her career years earlier.
Priestley responded to Strong the next day, writing, "Idk about that @tarastrong... I know I never worked for Miramax... and boy was my team Horrified when they heard about what I had done! Harvey was powerful, my team Strongly Advised me to write him an apology the next day..."

Jason Priestley is claiming he once got into a physical altercation with Harvey Weinstein.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 actor tweeted about the alleged incident on Friday in response to actress Tara Stong's claim that Weinstein may have attempted to derail Priestley's career after they got into a fist fight, much like director Peter Jackson's claims that Weinstein attempted to blacklist Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd -- both actresses have accused Weinstein of sexual harassment. Weinstein's spokesperson firmly denied Jackson's claims in a statement to Et.
When asked for the details of the story, Priestley claimed that at the 1995 Miramax Golden Globes party, Weinstein told him he had to leave. He then claimed Weinstein grabbed his arm when he attempted to exit the party.

The 88-year-old Jackson family patriarch was a passenger in a vehicle driving near the Strip when another driver “attempted to make a left-hand turn to enter a private driveway, failed to yield the right of way and collided” with Jackson’s vehicle, the Los Vegas Metropolitan Police tell People in a statement. On June 25, 2009, 70s icon Farrah Fawcett passed away after a long battle with cancer. Her obituary in The New York Times recalled her “signature flowing hairstyle” and the red bathing suit poster that first made her a star. It also mentioned her work in Charlie’s Angels and her marriage to Six Million Dollar Man‘s Lee Majors. It was a succinct, tasteful piece that bid farewell to a beloved celebrity whose death was, sadly, not unexpected. But as we learn in Vanessa Gould’s documentary Obit, the sense of calm left in the obituary department in the wake of Fawcett’s demise was quickly dispelled when news arrived that the King of Pop had died. Michael Jackson’s sudden death occurred at a time when the writers were getting ready to go home, and being The New York Times, the staff knew they needed to publish something that very day.

We look back at an often-overlooked part of the Ghostbusters legacy: it's Extreme Ghostbusters...
There was a time when no one cared about Ghostbusters. It was the late 90s - the pre-Pokemon, post-Mighty Morphin Power Rangers days to be exact. Nobody’s kid was exactly clamouring for a sequel, reboot, or a Ghostbusters continuation of any kind - except for Dan Aykroyd, who was practically lobbying for a third instalment while sitting front row at the Ghostbusters II premiere. Which is why we have this: an awkwardly timed, tonally disruptive Ghostbusters animated series.
Enter a brand new cartoon that picked up the sticky, ectoplasm-covered mantle of The Real Ghostbusters and wore it slightly askew to evoke that wholesome sense of 1990s irreverence: Extreme Ghostbusters.
Living up to its name, Xgb was extreme indeed. One glance at its radically inclusive team line-up is all you need to notice that.

Just as my ComicMix cohort, the Legend of Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow Denny O’Neil, I have jumped gently back into the TV fracas again with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. And we got there and the group of actors stood outside and we talked about it for a little while, and then we put it on its feet and then we talked about individual beats, and then we put it on its feet again," Jackson told Indiewire. When you’ve got the kind of money Peter Jackson has made with his “Lord of the Rings” and “Hobbit” franchises, it’s only natural to buy a bunch of old war planes and start a museum.
The New Zealand-born director had the privilege of hosting Prince William and Kate Middleton at the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre in Wellington today (April 10), and he gave them a proper tour of his military aircraft collection.
And after Mr. Jackson took some cell phone footage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge inside his planes, they headed inside for a special presentation- an aviation helmet lined in possum skin for Prince George.
Museum executive Jane Orphan explained, “We were very keen to mark the occasion with a gift and this is all about preserving the heritage for future generations, we thought what better than to give then a gift for the young Prince.

Museum executive Jane Orphan explained, “We were very keen to mark the occasion with a gift and this is all about preserving the heritage for future generations, we thought what better than to give then a gift for the young Prince.

Let the marketing for Girl Meets World begin!
Tuesday, The Tonight Show’s viral content maestros asked Samuel L. Jackson to pull a typically nostalgia-tinged stunt: Perform an extremely accurate and detail-oriented slam poem about ’90s sitcom Boy Meets World. And boy did Jackson oblige.
“Boy Meets World. Boy greets world. Hello, world. I am Cory Matthews. Short and average, head full of curls, the year 1993,” he begins. To quote any more lines would spoil the fun — but suffice it to say both Topanga and Mr. Fee-Fee-Feeny get shout outs. The clip is actually a really great recap of the program’s seven glorious seasons.

Despite our misgivings about Pixar moving farther into sequel territory rather than focusing on new and original ideas, we couldn’t help but get excited about the news that the animation studio is finally making a follow up to The Incredibles. Fans have been hoping (read: begging) for a sequel since the first film hit theaters in 2005, and director Brad Bird has always expressed interest in making one, as long as a great idea struck him.
Luckily for us, that idea must have struck because the film is now in active development. We still don’t know how far along that development may be, or when we can expect to see the finished product, but it’s exciting news nonetheless. We do know that Bird is currently working on the script, and though he’s not confirmed to direct, chances are good that he’ll be back. He’s currently...

An appellate court has decided once and for all that there was "substantial evidence" of Conrad Murray's guilt presented during the Michael Jackson death trial, The Associated Press reports.
Murray served two years in jail for the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson following the pop icon's 2009 death. Murray was released from jail less than three months ago.
The former cardiologist appealed his conviction on the claim that some jurors may have been improperly excluded from hearing key evidence. Had he won his appeal, it could've helped him fight to regain his medical license.
"We have not found any errors in the conduct of the trial, and in the few instances where we have assumed error for purposes of discussion, we have not found prejudice or, indeed, any significant adverse impact," the ruling stated.

For four epic Middle-earth adventures, director Peter Jackson has brought to life the famous hobbits, dwarfs, elves, orcs, and wizards from J.R.R. Tolkien’s imagination. But in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, part 2 of Jackson’s three-part quest to wring ever last ounce of drama from Tolkien’s slim Lord of the Ring’s predecessor, the visual feast starts and ends with a giant dragon who sounds an awful lot like Sherlock Holmes.
Smaug is the apocalypse-breathing dragon who evicted the dwarfs from their mountain home and now swims in their treasure. Jackson has compared Smaug to Hannibal Lecter,...

Though he faced some serious charges, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson got out of the courtroom today with just misdemeanor vandalism on his record (October 28).
Charged with domestic violence against ex-girlfriend Daphne Narvaez in June, the "Candy Shop" rapper will still be under the scrutiny of the court for awhile.
According to his attorney Scott Leemon, "The agreement called for Mr. Jackson to plead no contest to a single count of misdemeanor vandalism, which deals with the door of the apartment that was damaged and owned by the landlord. All remaining counts, including, the domestic violence charge will be dismissed. He has agreed to perform community service, attend counseling sessions and will be on unsupervised probation for a period of three years."
This is far from his first brush with Johnny law, nor is it his first time on probation. Back in 2005, 50 was placed on two years' probation from an incident where...

Most of her loyal followers are positive and encouraging, but Taylor Swift also has to deal with the hater contingent as well.
For instance, a man named Joseph Jackson posted threatening comments about the “Holy Ground” songstress on Facebook before showing up at her Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania gig over the weekend.
Jackson brought a sign that read “Taylor Swift is Satan,” and it didn’t take the police long to track him down and arrest him.
Joseph reportedly told the cops, “Taylor Swift is Satan and that 6,000 years is six days and death comes on the sixth day, so Taylor Swift is in danger.”
Needless to say, Mr. Jackson won’t be hanging around T. Swizzle anytime soon!
