The trailer for Yorgos Lanthimos’ new film has arrived. The filmmaker has already followed up his Poor Things run with Kinds of Kindness, which reunites him with the Academy Award-winning star of his last film, Emma Stone, as well as her Poor Things co-star, Willem Dafoe. The new trailer from Searchlight Pictures displays the chaotic nature of the film, with all the clips feeling non-sequitur. And with Sweet Dreams providing the soundtrack for the trailer, it certainly hammers home the dream-like feeling of this abstract movie.

Danny Boyle and Alex Garland are reteaming for the long-awaited 28 Years Later horror sequel trilogy, with Cillian Murphy on board as executive producer. But will Murphy, who of course starred in 28 Days Later, be reprising his role? It sounds like the answer is a big Yes.
Speaking with Deadline this week, Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman was flat out asked if Cillian Murphy will be back to star, and his answer suggests that is indeed the plan.
“Yes,” Rothman answered, “but in a surprising way and in a way that grows, let me put it that way.”
He continued, speaking more generally about 28 Years Later, “This is Danny at his best, combined with a very commercial genre, like we had with Edgar Wright and Baby Driver. Sometimes when you put a real signature director into a commercial arena, it elevates it.”

Bullet Train‘s Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who may be the frontrunner to be the next James Bond, has joined the cast of writer/director Robert Eggers‘ remake of F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent classic Nosferatu (watch that Here), Deadline reports. Details on the character Taylor-Johnson will be playing in the film have not been revealed.
Taylor-Johnson’s Nosferatu co-stars include Lily-Rose Depp (Yoga Hosers), Nicholas Hoult (The Menu), Emma Corrin (The Crown), and Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man: No Way Home), with Bill Skarsgard (It) taking on the role of the title character.
An unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the original Nosferatu has the following synopsis: In this highly influential silent horror film, the mysterious Count Orlok (Max Schreck) summons Thomas Hutter (Gustav von Wangenheim) to his remote Transylvanian castle in the mountains. The eerie Orlok seeks to buy a house near Hutter and his wife, Ellen (Greta Schroeder). After Orlok reveals his vampire nature,...

Review: Fans of horror fiction are familiar with author Bentley Little, but mainstream audiences are not. The prolific author has published over twenty-five novels. Only one of his short stories have been adapted on screen (“The Washingtonians” was an episode of the anthology series Masters of Horror). Now, his 2016 novel The Consultant has become a Prime Video series from the creative team of Tony Basgallop (AppleTV+ series Servant) and director Matt Shakman (WandaVision). With Christoph Waltz in the title role, The Consultant is equal parts Severance and The Devil’s Advocate. A workplace satire blending horror, psychological thriller, and dark comedy, The Consultant is a mysterious puzzle of a series that does not quite live up to its...

This week sees the highly anticipated release of… nothing! In the lead up to Avatar: The Way of Water it seems all other studios have decided to play it safe and not even attempt one big weekend before dropping significantly next week.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to see. If you live in an area with some Indie theaters (basically New York or Los Angeles) you may be able to see the limited releases of Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale starring a soon to be Oscar Nominated (if the buzz is true) Brendan Fraser. Or perhaps the Sam Mendes film Empire of Light is more your speed, if you can find a theater that is playing it. Or maybe, just maybe, you have been eagerly anticipating the release of a PG rated version of the Mark Wahlberg film Father Stu this time called Father Stu: Reborn? Although,...
