5 Sexiest Characters in Star Wars Sequel Trilogy - Main Image
Just when we thought that Star Wars trilogies were over after the release of Episode VII – Revenge of the Sith in 2005, Lucasfilm once again brought the story of the galaxy far, far away to life with the sequel trilogy. But aside from its intricate storylines and fascinating lore, another thing that caught the viewers' eyes was its characters’ incredible charm and allure.
The Star Wars sequel trilogy, which included Episode VII—The Force Awakens, Episode VIII—The Last Jedi, and Episode IX—The Rise of Skywalker, featured some of the best actors of their time.
It saw the return of Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and the late Carrie Fisher as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia Organa.
But it also introduced franchise newcomers Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, and Oscar Isaac as Rey Skywalker, Finn, Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron,...

It's a testament to Disney's branding that mainstream audiences don't necessarily know who directed or starred in some of their better-known movies. Although many have seen the studio's 1950 animated feature "Cinderella," most audiences wouldn't be able to tell you that Ilene Woods played the title character, or that Wilfred Jackson, Hamilton Luske, and Clyde Geronimi directed the film. Disney's "Aladdin" changed that with the casting of Robin Williams as the Genie. And the trend of hiring known screen celebrities, often not voice actors, to sell an animated feature to a broad audience went to a whole other level in the wake of DreamWorks' "Shrek." The advent of the internet also helped certain actresses become known among Disney fans. Nowadays, many adults know the names of the actresses who played characters like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, or Ariel the Mermaid.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 47 years since we first witnessed the adventures of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, but across the nine-movie Skywalker saga, two standalone movies, a multitude of TV series, and one questionable Holiday Special, we’ve learned it’s a big ol’ galaxy out there. With enough characters to fill a Death Star, it’s inevitable that not every player in this grand space opera would get the same attention as Luke, Han, and Leia.
In fact, the franchise has allowed a few characters to slip to the sidelines. From major players who were discarded into the trash compactor to those who didn’t resonate with fans and were quietly pushed to the side, here are 12 Star Wars characters who deserved better.

It’s not controversial to say the “Star Wars” fandom has its fair share of toxicity, especially when it comes to misogyny and racism. Watching certain segments of the fandom lose their minds over the fact that a woman (Daisy Ridley) was the lead in the most recent films made was shocking and disturbing to watch. Not to mention the racism in response to actors like John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran being prominent members of the cast.

It's gotta be tough being any main lead "Star Wars" actor. There's a level of scrutiny that comes with those roles that most other franchises don't have to deal with. Best case scenario is you lose your anonymity for the rest of your life, worst case the fanbase turns on you and there's nowhere for you to escape to. In my generation, it was the criticism of Jake Lloyd in "The Phantom Menace" that had a very negative effect on his private life. In contrast, this generation chased folks like Daisy Ridley and Kelly Marie Tran off of social media entirely.
Even actors that the fans generally seem to like have to take part in these movies knowing that these roles will live with them forever. Adam Driver recently discussed that on "Who's Talking to Chris Wallace" and made mention that ever since "The Force Awakens" came out, he "hears...

Today, Ashley Eckstein is known for voicing one of the most popular "Star Wars" characters of the 21st century: Ahsoka Tano. The performer, who has won praise and recognition for her turn as the Togruta Jedi turned Rebel, surprised audiences when she made her debut in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." She quickly proved herself capable of not just kicking major butt in the "Star Wars" universe but also of being great enough to slip into existing canon without alienating picky fans of the original and prequel trilogies.
Since Ahsoka's introduction, she's become a massively popular character, starring in "Star Wars Rebels" and "Tales of the Jedi" and making the leap to live action, with Rosario Dawson putting on the head tails to embody the character. Ahsoka wasn't always embraced by "Star Wars" fans, though. In an interview Eckstein gave to Vanity Fair in 2020, the actor revealed that reactions...

Of all the missed opportunities in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, Finn's character arc (or lack thereof) probably stings the most. He was introduced in "The Force Awakens" as the co-protagonist, someone who'd not only be sharing equal screen time with Rey (Daisy Ridley), but who would likely end up going down the Jedi path himself.
As early as "The Last Jedi," however, it became clear that the series didn't really know what to do with him. The movie establishes that he's force positive, which could've been interesting if not for the fact that this was the last entry in the series,...
