The Exchange has closed key territories on Cannes virtual market screening A Gift From Bob starring Luke Treadaway, led by deals with Lionsgate UK, Leonine for Germany, and DDDream for China.
Brian O’Shea and his team have closed further sales in: Japan (Comstick), France (Ab), Italy (Notorious), Cis (Exponenta), Middle East (Selim Ramia & Co), Hong Kong (Lark), and Taiwan (CaiChang).
The film marks the sequel to 2016 release A Streecat Named Bob and is on track to complete post production at Twickenham Studios in time for a 2020 December holiday season release.

BeaglePug, headed by producer David Barron, whose credits include six “Harry Potter” movies, “Mowgli” and “Cinderella,” has teamed with Enriched Media Group, co-founded by producer Mick Southworth, to produce TV drama “A Treachery of Spies,” an adaptation of Manda Scott espionage thriller “A Treachery of Spies.”
The London-based production outfits have secured all TV, film and ancillary rights to the novel from Emily Hayward Whitlock at The Artists Partnership, working in association with Robert Caskie. “Treachery” represents both production companies’ first foray into long-form TV drama, and the partners are in active discussions in both the U.K. and U.S. with senior production partners.
The thriller starts with a murder in 1940s World War II France whose mysteries are investigated in the present day by Detective Inspector Inès Picaut, “a brilliant but haunted female detective,” according to a statement.

Paul Schrader drama set for release in multiple foreign territories.
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (Uphe) Content Group will handle the international roll -out of Paul Schrader’s First Reformed, which received its UK premiere at Sundance London last week.
Ethan Hawke stars as a tormented priest in the film, which co-stars Amanda Seyfried and Cedric the Entertainer.
Uphe Content Group, which specialises in multi-platform releasing on a worldwide basis, will oversee the release of the film in multiple foreign territories - and will look to give it theatrical play where appropriate. This follows on from the film’s Us launch through A24 in mid-May.

Former UK distribution firm Feature Film Company has been re-launched as an independent production, finance and consultancy company with an adaptation of football hooligan bestseller Running With the Firm.
Led by Mick Southworth and Martin McCabe, Feature Film Company has announced the start of pre-production for James Bannon’s memoir about his time as an undercover cop in the 1980s, which saw him infiltrate some of English football’s most brutal hooligan gangs.
A joint venture with its new UK funding partner Omeira - which is providing a minimum £10m of production investment in the first year – the Feature Film Company will initially produce up to four low to medium budget, commercially-oriented ‘genre’ movies a year for theatrical release in the UK and international sales worldwide.
