The deaths of Dumbledore, Sirius Black, and Remus Lupin were some of the most shocking and heartbreaking moments of the Harry Potter franchise. These deaths were not only some of the saddest moments in the books but also left their impact on Harry’s life, in one way or another.

However, it seems that these deaths were foreshadowed heavily, as revealed when Professor Trelawney enters the great hall during Christmas celebrations. The hall is sparsely populated, with only 12 students and professors there. When asked by Dumbledore to join the host at the Great Hall, Trelawney is quick to point out that her joining them would make the total number of people there 13, and that there is “nothing more unlucky”.

In Part 3 of Lupin, gentleman thief Assane Diop (Omar Sy) pulls off his most outrageous feat yet: making himself disappear. Oh, and he manages to snatch the incredibly famous (and extremely valuable) Black Pearl out from right underneath the police’s noses — like, literally. But you know what they say about the best-laid plans… Unfortunately, Assane didn’t count on a new villain, who foils his scheme when he brings an important figure from Assane’s past back into his life.
, Assane had managed to avenge his father’s death and put wealthy businessman Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre) behind bars, but not before making himself France’s most notorious (and most popular) criminal thanks to his many heists inspired by literary hero (and original gentleman thief) Arsène Lupin.
Despite Assane’s many elaborate disguises, it’s way harder to fly under the radar once the entire country knows what you look like.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling felt very sorry that she had to kill off Professor Severus Snape. Played by the late Alan Rickman, Snape is a fan-favorite figure despite his stance as an anti-hero and a morally grey persona.

The writer later apologized to the fans for what she did as many mourned the loss of Snape, as well as other beloved characters. In fact, she already told the late actor about the fate of the famed professor even before they made it to the screen.

7. Pansy Parkinson
For some who adds absolutely no value to the story, Pansy Parkinson has way too many mentions. Her only point is to be the insufferable person whose most notable achievement is trying to surrender Harry to Voldemort in The Deathly Hallows.
Pansy feels like a character that once had a purpose but then was randomly discarded.
6. Rolanda Hooch
Madam Hooch is one of the Hogwarts teachers, but she’s… Useless. She’s only there to give first-year students one lesson but still manages to mess it up: she can neither save a falling kid nor prevent problems in her class. What a waste of salary — even Lockhart had some actual classes and took part in important discussions!

Jk Rowling Shares The Conversation She Had With Late Actor Alan Rickman ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Acclaimed author Jk Rowling recently shared a conversation she had with late actor Alan Rickman, who played Professor Severus Snape in all eight Harry Potter movies. While answering fan questions about her writing process, Jk Rowling told readers how she explained the character’s complex struggles to the late actor after he reached out to her for help in gaining insight into his complicated role in Harry’s life.
Alan Rickman played Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies, where he was often seen blurring the line between Harry’s tormentor and sometimes his fierce protector. Throughout the film, Snape, who visibly dislikes Harry, struggles with his complex emotions toward him. Since its creation in 1985, the City Hunter manga has spawned multiple adaptations, from TV anime to live-action movies. Tsukasa Hojo’s manga is a timeless tale of a character who wants to do good in a world full of bad without getting sucked into violence or vengeance. The Story is Simple Ryo Saeba loves women but can be perceived as harassing in some ways. He says he accepts any mission as long as his heart is moved (or as long as the client is a beautiful woman), but what makes the character so simple to understand is that he deeply cares. Behind his pervy looks, he always does the right thing. His backstory is neither the funniest nor the prettiest; he lived to kill, and yet he chose to become a Pi to maintain some justice in the dark alleys of Shinjuku. With the manga, the anime, the animated features...

From a young and tender age, Harry Potter developed a phenomenal ability to cleverly insult or strike back at people he didn’t like. Some of the best one-liners in books and movies came from him, and especially with folks like Snape and Umbridge, Harry never felt the need to hold back, coming up with the most venomous punches and replies.
And yet, one time, the Chosen One chose the wrong comeback for Umbridge.
Umbridge Set the Trap for Herself
In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Professor Umbridge’s first Defense Against Dark Arts lesson with Gryffindor didn’t go according to plan whatsoever. The students openly rebelled against her “Ministry-approved plan” of locking them behind textbooks and disabling them from actively practicing the spells they’ll be learning.
Losing more patience by the second, Umbridge engaged in a heated discussion of her methods with the class — and at one point,...

The Harry Potter franchise is built so well it’s hard to find severe holes in the plot of both movies and book, however, there are some imperfections which raise the fandom’s questions even 20 years later. In particular, there is one of the magical objects of the Wizarding World, which remains the most debatable one - the Time-Turner.
Being a magical pendant that allows turn back time and alter the past, it helps Hermione to attend more classes than she is physically capable of. It turns out that it’s given to her by Headmaster Dumbledore in the timeline of the third movie, the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Throughout the story, Harry learns about Hermione’s exploitation of this device, and they eventually end up saving Sirius Black and Buckbeak the Hippogriff from execution and themselves from the wolfed-out Professor Lupin and relentless Dementors.
Thus, given the Time-Turner as a tool for saving lives,...

Before making your 2024 Emmy predictions for Best Drama Series, take a tour of our photo gallery showcasing the leading contenders. Currently at the top of the heap is “The Crown,” which is looking to repeat its 2021 success in the category now that 2022-2023 winner “Succession” (which ended last May) is out of the race.
Of the eight shows that competed for this prize in 2023, only “The Crown” can do so this year. “Better Call Saul” joins “Succession” in having concluded during the 75th Emmys eligibility window, while ongoing series “Andor,” “House of the Dragon,” “The Last of Us,” “The White Lotus,” and “Yellowjackets” will not return in time to qualify for the 76th annual honors.
“The Crown” is indeed the lone past nominee in the mix this time, although the list of hopefuls includes a reboot of 1990s nominee “Quantum Leap” and two spin-offs of 1960s contender “Star Trek,” subtitled “Strange New Worlds” and “Discovery.

Fifteen years after “Inglourious Basterds,” Daniel Brühl is back on the Croisette, this time on the pink carpet at Canneseries, for the world premiere of “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld,” a prestige Disney+ miniseries which offered him one of his biggest acting challenges to date. To play Lagerfeld, Brühl not only perfected his French and learned to speak and walk with small heels like the late fashion icon, he also pulled from his own life experience as a perpetual foreigner, being both German and Spanish. Produced by Gaumont (“Lupin”), the six-part series chronicles the rise of Karl Lagerfeld through the world of 1970s Parisian high fashion. The lushly lensed series opens in 1972, as 38-year-old Karl Lagerfeld aspires to become the most famous French fashion designer, at a time when Yves Saint Laurent reigned supreme. Powered by a pop aesthetic, the series sheds light on the tumultuous love affair between Lagerfeld and Jacques de Bascher.

It is absolutely wild to think that Robin Williams got passed over for the part of Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter series because he wasn’t British! Now, while David Thewlis undoubtedly did justice to the character, one can’t help but wonder what kind of magic Williams could have brought to the role. Because one can never accept Williams to be a wrong choice for anything! The Harry Potter crew really missed out on something special with that one silly rule.
Robin Williams in Jumanji (1995) Robin Williams Was Denied the Role of Remus Lupin Because He Wasn’t British
Robin Williams, known for his extensive Hollywood career and a string of iconic roles, is often regarded as one of the few actors universally loved in the industry. Many would assume that Williams could land any role he desires.
However, that wasn’t the case when he wanted to enter the Harry Potter series.

Jujutsu Kaisen is getting more interesting with each chapter. Since Ryomen Sukuna began his rampage, people have been skeptical of the King of Curses’ true powers. But as time passed, his number of kills increased. He killed Satoru Gojo during the battle of the strongest. After killing Kashimo Hajime, he gained his original form from thousand years ago, and since then, it has been a one-man show.
Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori formed a great tag team, but it was not enough to put down the King of the Curses. With Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 255 knocking on the door, fans have already welcomed the spoilers. The spoilers featured a strong Jujutsu sorcerer entering the battlefield and fighting Sukuna. Hayao Miyazaki stands as a luminary in the anime and animation realm, wielding multiple roles – director, producer, scriptwriter, animator, author, manga artist, and Studio Ghibli's co-owner. Reshaping the landscape, he was one of the pioneers of elevating anime beyond teenage audiences. His magnum opus, “Spirited Away,” broke records and became the first anime to win an Oscar. In 2014, he earned an Honorary Academy Award, a testament to his cinematic impact. A prolific storyteller since 1972, Miyazaki, continues to come up with titles that top the category, although his latest one, “The Boy and the Heron” could possibly be his last.

Best Friend Forever has acquired international rights to emerging director Dania Reymond-Boughenou’s debut feature “Silent Storms,” a supernatural film set in a fictional Arab city.
Currently in post production, the movie follows Nacer, a 45-year-old journalist who is observing the appearance of strange yellow sandstorms looming over Algiers and its surroundings. While covering the phenomenon for his newspaper, he starts witnessing more and more supernatural events, until his late wife Fajar returns to life. Faced with increasingly threatening storms, Samir has to face a dark past that haunts him.
“Silent Storms” stars Khaled Benaïssa (“Papicha”), singer-turned-director Camélia Jordana, Shirine Boutella (“Lupin”) and Mehdi Ramdani. The movie is scored by Dan Levy (“I Lost my Body”).
Reymond-Boughenou previously directed the short film “Constellation de la Rouguiere,” which was selected for Fid Marseille and Clermont Ferrand film festivals.
The helmer said she wanted the film to depict the reappearing of a traumatic memory.

A fresh set of actors are about to be enrolled in what the film series cast cheekily nicknamed ‘the Harry Potter Pension plan’. US streamer Max’s plan to re-adapt the Potter books into a TV show running for 10 consecutive years and starting in 2025/6 should keep the lucky new cast in greasepaint and copies of The Stage indefinitely.

What do you get when you have a series with a trio featuring a half-oni/half-human, an immortal severed head in a bird cage, and a tough-as-nails maid that can beat up just about anyone? You get a really fun show in Undead Murder Farce , but also a series that has style for days. Even on its own with just the story and mysteries it tells, Undead Murder Farce would still probably be one of my favorite shows of the last year. The stylistic decisions with regard to shot composition, character and environmental design, scene transitions, music, and generally how it looks — amongst other aspects — elevate the show to becoming not only more fun to watch, but something that’s pretty special as well. One of the first things you’ll notice when watching episodes or even just seeing screenshots is that character design was an important aspect of the overall production.
