Adam Miller Who Would Give His Only Song Away (Chelsea Records)
When Wes Farrell, the man who penned the perennial evergreen "Hang On Sloopy," and was overseer to the phenomenal chart successes of the Partridge Family and David Cassidy, set up his own record label in 1972, his maiden release wasn't a sure fire pop confection. He began proceedings with an exquisitely crafted collection of psych outsider introspection. Adam Miller, his new discovery and recipient of this gracious act of faith didn't set the world aflame, he didn't even darken it's edge, and today remains unknown, his album the victim of at best a misreading of the small print one is required to field when stumbling across an artist with no fame attached to the name above the title, more than four decades after the event. The X Factor has been sued by an unsuccessful contestant.
Adam Miller is taking legal action against the show's production company Fremantle Media and Simon Cowell's company Syco Entertainment, The Mirror reports.
Miller, who first appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2010 as a Britney Spears tribute act, claims that producers urged him to apply for The X Factor and suggested that he could be an act similar to Rylan Clark.
Miller claims that he initially refused to go on The X Factor because he knows he doesn't have a good singing voice, but was persuaded that he "wouldn't be embarrassing" himself by a producer.
He was also reportedly told that this was "an opportunity of a lifetime" and that producers wanted to see him as "an entertainer, someone that can put on a great show", adding that he should wear his Britney Spears outfit.

In the wake of September's news that Jeff Zucker is exiting his post as NBC Universal chairman and CEO, the company's top corporate spokesperson, Allison Gollust, has told staff that she also will relinquish her position once the Comcast merger is completed.
The move, reported by the New York Times, had been expected.
Comcast has not named a replacement for Gollust, but the Times cited Adam Miller, president of the Abernathy MacGregor PR firm, who worked with Comcast during the past year on the NBC Universal deal, as a likely candidate. Zucker will be replaced by Comcast COO Steve Burke.
Gollust will remain in her position as executive vp corporate communications until Dec. 31, when the Comcast deal is expected to close. She told the Times that she has no immediate plans to take another position but will seek one in the future.
