ABC has officially ordered the Avengers spinoff Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for its fall schedule. The show won’t actually feature too many characters from Avengers — with one rather notable exception. As Marvel godfather Joss Whedon announced many months ago, the show will feature the return of Clark Gregg’s Agent Phil Coulson. Of course, as we all know, Coulson appeared to die in The Avengers. And by “appeared to die” I mean “Yes, of course, they could have faked his death, but we saw blood running out of his mouth, and his death formed the emotional core of the film’s third act.

Country gal Miranda Lambert got into the Kentucky Derby spirit Friday night - with a little help from her girlfriends. "The House That Built Me" singer, 29, danced, drank, pumped her fists in the air and eventually performed at the annual black-tie Barnstable Brown Gala event, hosted by Grey Goose, held at a mansion near Churchill Downs on Derby Eve. The Texas native and animal lover was dressed like a southern belle - complete with a peach fascinator perched on her head - hung out at a table flanked by four girlfriends and looked like she was having a blast during the other performances.

Chicago – Do you miss “The Dating Game”? Long for more shows like “Baggage” in primetime? Fox has two, Long hours for you in “Take Me Out” and “The Choice” — a pair of programs that seem designed to replicate what it’s like at a Wrigleyville bar at 1:45Am only you’re (probably) not drunk enough to find the nauseating banter and silly behavior entertaining.
TV Rating: 2.0/5.0
The night starts with “Take Me Out,” hosted by George Lopez, a bizarre hybrid of “1 vs. 100” and “The Dating Game.” A single bachelor stands in front of 30 eligible bachelorettes. The lovely ladies are at podiums with lights that can either be white (good) or red (bad). If they turn their white light off, they’re no longer interested in Mr. Right Now. They have multiple opportunities to turn off their lights, including based purely on appearance when the guy first comes out or...

At this weekend's White House Correspondents' Dinner President Barack Obama asked the question we've all been asking ourselves: "What is [Kim Kardashian] famous for, anyway?" Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan, both who were in attendance, were the butt of many of Obama's and host Jimmy Kimmel's jokes at the Washington, D.C. event. Here are some of our favorite jokes.
"Seriously, guys, what am I doing here?" Obama said. "I'm the President of the United States, and I'm opening for Jimmy Kimmel? Why am I telling knock-knock jokes to Kim Kardashian?"
"When you took office, the Kardashians had one reality show," Kimmel said to the President. "Now they have four. This is not a good trend."
Where is Sully Sullenberger? I met him outside," said Kimmel. "Sully, would you do us a favor? Would you mind driving Lindsay Lohan home? And make sure you don't run into a goose,...

The Sundance Film Festival is the largest independent cinema festival in the United States. Held in January in Park City, Salt Lake City, the festival is a showcase for new work from American and international independent filmmakers. The Festival has changed over the decades from a low-profile venue for small-budget, independent creators from outside the Hollywood system to a media extravaganza for Hollywood celebrity actors, paparazzi, and luxury lounges set up by companies that are not affiliated with Sundance.
Now the festival is getting ready for the 2012 edition and today they announced the jury members for this year’s Festival. They include Shari Berman, Scott Burns, Charles Ferguson, Nick Fraser, Mike Judge, Justin Lin, Anthony Mackie, Cliff Martinez, Julia Ormond, Dee Rees and Lynn Shelton.
Here is the official press release:

Prom
Opens: April 29th 2011
Cast: Aimee Teegarden, Thomas McDonell, Danielle Campbell, Yin Chang
Director: Joe Nussbaum
Summary: Portrays the precarious passage from high school to independence as some relationships unravel and others ignite. For Nova Prescott, it’s a battle of wills as she finds herself drawn to the guy who gets in the way of her perfect prom. Others face all the insecurity and anticipation that surrounds one of high school’s most seminal events.
Analysis: Disney's attempt at creating the next "High School Musical" franchise for itself, this teen romantic comedy is a batch of clique cliches - the beauty queen, the rebel with better hair than anyone else in the film, the handsome yet dumb foreign exchange student, the 'so above it' geek who really wants to belong, and at least one or two 'fugly' girls.
It's all very "The Breakfast Club" meets "10 Things I Hate About...
