The ratings of American Pickers continue to drop. The once wildly popular show on The History Channel does not appear to be as popular as it once was. Fans are just not finding a reason to continue watching Mike Wolfe and the other pickers as they try to save American history.
There could be several reasons for the drop in the ratings. Some have concluded it is because Mike Wolfe is too centered around historical cars. This doesn’t appeal to the women who have been watching the show for all these years.

The History Of American Pickers
The purpose of American Pickers was to save history, more specifically American history, “one pick at a time.” It began with two friends, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, traveling around the United States. They were looking at barns, garages and everywhere else for pieces of history. Those pieces of history were then resold in their store in Iowa.
The premise of the show is pretty much the same, but American Pickers, like other reality television shows, has gone through some changes. Frank Fritz is no longer a part of the show.

History Channel’s reality TV series, American Pickers, continues its 2023 season without Frank Fritz. Fritz and Mike Wolfe co-hosted the show for years, but the series let Fritz go. Following this event, he had a life-threatening stroke in July 2022. New reports suggest his store is at risk of experiencing “severe financial distress” due to its low annual sales.
