Exclusive: Addison Rae looks to have found her next big studio film as the rising star is set to headline Paramount Players’ Fashionista. Laura Terruso wrote the lasted script based off a draft by Amy Andelson & Emily Meyer. Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay are producing on behalf of Ethea Entertainment. Ashley Brucks will oversee for the Studio.
Logline is being under wraps. While no director is attached at this time, the project is in active development with a decision on a director expected in the weeks to come.

Netflix's teen drama Trinkets didn't take long to steal our hearts, and by the time we were done watching the first season, we only had one question on our minds: would it return for season two?
Fortunately, the streaming giant confirmed the exciting news on Monday with a video announcement that reveals the series will be back with a few changes in the works. While the core cast is still in place - Brianna Hildebrand, Kiana Madeira, and Quintessa Swindell - Charmed's Sarah Goldfinger is on board as the new showrunner.
Netflix, known for cranking out exceptional original content, released the show, which follows a trio of teen girls who go through the usual struggles of being, well, teen girls. However, there's an unexpected twist: they're all serial shoplifters who meet in a support group for kleptomania and instead start teaming up to continue stealing. The first season,...

Chicago – “Step Up 3” is not a film so much as a slickly photographed collage of superbly performed dance sequences. Its structure harkens back to the golden age of screen musicals where the plot merely functioned as an intermission between numbers. There’s no need to visit the previous “Step Up” installments before stepping into this one, since their plots are more or less identical.
“SU3” merely aspires to entertain by utilizing the human body as its central special effect. The result is an irresistible burst of spirit-lifting escapism that sends the audience out on a wave of good feeling. Though the film’s acclaimed 3D visuals are available on a separate Blu-Ray edition, the stellar HD picture quality on the 2D version is second to none, while Ken Seng’s cinematography places the performers front and center, providing viewers with what feels like the best seat in the house.

I've seen all of the contemporaneity urban dances movies (in fact, I reviewed them all in one fell swoop), and anyone who has ever seen them must understand that it's easy to find a modicum of guilty pleasure in them. It's hard not to marvel at the talent on display in the electric, dazzling dance sequences. Fancy editing or no, it's impressive how these people move and contort and throw their bodies around, and it's difficult not to get swept up in the kinetic energy.
But there's also the flip side to this genre: Terrible, predictable, increasingly inane plots. They've mined all the Karate Kid underdog inspiration out of them, and they've more than thoroughly explored the fish out of the dance floor story lines: There's the poor white kid, the rich white ballet dancer, the black guy trying to make it out of the ghetto, etc. etc. ad infinitum,...

Step Up 3D Directed by: Jon Chu Written by: Amy Andelson & Emily Meyer (screenplay), Duane Adler (characters) Starring: Rick Malambri, Adam G. Sevani, Sharni Vinson I’m still not certain the Step Up films take place in the real world. Dance is so important to the characters that inhabit this plane of reality that I barely recognize it. Is every move a metaphor? “Battling” surely seems a surrogate for a fistfight, while love is manifested with more delicate gymnastics. Context regardless, the seriousness with which they approach their art is unshakable. Conversely, as someone who finds their rhythmic jiving inherently silly — yes, I saw Step Up 3D ironically. My recommendation, however, is anything but. I honestly can’t imagine it disappointing anyone. If you’re a fan (in any capacity) of the previous two films, well, you’re in for a treat. Part three was shot in 3D (as opposed...

The players: Director: Jon Chu, Writers:Amy Andelson, Emily Meyer, Cast: Rick Malambri, Adam G. Sevani, Sharni Vinson, Alyson Stoner
Facts of interest: Chu also helmed "Step Up 2: The Streets."
The plot: A bunch of dancers gear up to beat their rivals at a huge dance competition.
Our thoughts: Let’s face it: nobody really needed another “Step Up” movie. The first one did its job and became popular, and the sequel sucked and quickly started to feel too monotonous. Then the whole 3D thing came along, and someone out there thought it would be awesome to have some talented dancers/bad actors spin some cool moves straight into our faces. Thus, Jon Chu’s “Step Up 3D” was born.

Photo: Touchstone PIctures Step Up 2 the Streets was a dramatic improvement over the dull and lifeless 2006 original. Yet it still feels weird to fully realize how silly this whole franchise is and to still expect Step Up 3D to be better than it actually is. It's not as if Step Up 2 was changing the dramatic face of movies, but it was certainly fun. It had some good music and great dance sequences. Most of all, it had a story (albeit a thin one) that stayed together and didn't bounce around from character to character without any idea where to stop. The same can't be said for the follow-up.

Step Up 3D is a mess of a movie. It's one giant montage with a made up story simply to get you from set piece to set piece. Yet, I had a good time watching it,...

Director: John Chu Writer(s): Amy Andelson, Emily Meyer Starring: Rick Malambri, Adam G. Sevani, Sharni Vinson, Alyson Stoner, Keith Stallworth, Kendra Andrews, Stephen Boss, Martin, Lombard, Facundo Lombard Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could settle all of life’s trying issues with a really hot, glittery, dance war? I can picture it now: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Shimon Peres breaking amid throngs of cheering fans dressed in clothes oddly reminiscent of the 80s. There can only be one winner, and there will be much turmoil and joy throughout! That’s basically how things roll in the freakishly annoying world of Step Up 3D. Meet Moose (Adam Sevani), a college student in New York City who suddenly becomes sidetracked in Central Park when he witnesses a dance off and becomes an unlikely contestant. Luke (Rick Malambri), a smokin’, stud-like fellow sees him and his moves and invites him to live at The Vault,...

.Step Up 3D. is the third installment of the popular franchise. This time, the hip-hop fairy tale is back with an intriguing gimmick making the movie the first dance drama ever to be shot and released in digital 3D.
As expected, the filmmakers stepped up the film.s look and dance numbers. Those are two great qualities to make any .Step Up. fan curious about the third movie even though the story and the script are relegated backstage.
If Jennifer Beals. .Flashdance. character, Alex Owens, was just beginning her dance career today, she would have a hard time competing with the .Step Up. kids. Nowadays, the popping and locking dance routines are meant for dancers with strong stamina and equally powerful equilibrium.
According to the first two .Step Up. movies, dancing makes the people come together. The dancing gods do not care if you.re rich or poor. The third...

HollywoodNews.com: Step Up 3-D has exactly as much plot as it needs, given that it’s really the best-choreographed music video that Hype Williams never made. Filmmaker Jon Chu, who previously made Step Up 2: The Streets and is currently helming one of the most underrated web series on the internet, The Lxd, has really mastered the art of directing captivating dance sequences, but he still hasn’t found an emotional foundation equal to his films’ evolving technical virtuosity. But given that an engaging story is only vaguely important in the confines of a world that brings together breakdancing, parkour, acrobatics, lasers, and spectacularly ugly track jackets, Step Up 3-D suffers from no shortcomings important enough to prevent it from being one of the most colorful, effervescent and entertaining films of the summer.
