Exclusive: Another Grammer will appear in the Paramount+ series Frasier next season.
Greer Grammer will guest star on the series as Roz Doyle’s (Peri Gilpin) daughter Alice all grown up. Now in her late twenties, friendly, outgoing Alice has inherited more than some of her mother’s free-spirited ways. Having just moved to Providence to study architecture, Alice is eager to catch up with Frasier’s son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott)—and complicate whatever romantic plans he may have.
Gilpin appeared in one episode of the new Frasier last season and was previously announced to be returning for Season 2 in a recurring capacity. Production is currently underway in Los Angeles at Paramount Studios.
The series follows Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) in the next chapter of his life after he returns to Boston to face new challenges, forge new relationships and – with hope – finally fulfill an old dream or two.

When we first reconnect with Frasier Crane in the “Frasier” revival, the character is thriving. Since his departure from Seattle at the end of the original “Frasier” series in 2004, he has become a household name, having hosted a popular TV talk show for years in Chicago. And although he remains unlucky in love, Frasier exudes more confidence than ever before when we see him in the Boston-set update.
“He’s certainly refined and more comfortable in his own skin,” Grammer says of his on-screen alter ego, first seen on “Cheers” in 1984. “He’s a fuller man than he used to be. He knows more. He’s wiser.”
The same might be said for Grammer. Of course, he isn’t really Frasier, but having played the character for four decades, their paths are inextricably linked. Ask Grammer about how he personally has evolved over that same time frame, and it’s...

Greer Grammer is speaking out about the residual checks she gets sent for her work on MTV's Awkward.
Grammer played Lissa Miller as a recurring player on the comedy series' first two seasons before being elevated to a series regular for the final three seasons.
Greer took to TikTok to open residual checks on camera to support the SAG-AFTRA strike.
"Let's open some streaming residuals," she said at the top of the video.
"So, I just got all these bad boys in the mail today and I figured since there have been so many discussions about streaming residuals with the SAG strike going on, that I would do some live opening on what mine actually are right now."
The actress picked one and opened it before saying:
"Awkward, 'Are You there, God? It's Me, Jenna.' Total gross: .80 cents. Oh, actually, that's what this [paystub] says, but the check is actually for .50 cents.

In a split ruling today, a state appeals court panel reinstated a grant of parole for former Charles Manson follower Leslie Van Houten, overturning an earlier decision by Gov. Gavin Newsom to block her release.
Tuesday’s decision does not automatically mean Van Houten will be released. The state could still appeal the ruling to the California Supreme Court. Neither the governor’s office nor the state Attorney General’s Office immediately returned a message seeking comment.

"Could you just stand still and stop drifting?" Everyone knows that actors have entirely different lives when they're not on camera, but what if these lives collided? Second Team is a comedy short film by filmmaker Ria Pavia. After years of working on sets and spending plenty of time in the "video village", Pavia has made this short based on, most likely, a true story that no one will ever reveal. A scorned stand-in actor for a hit TV called "2 Millennial Girls" show distorts the script to publicly berate her co-star. The two women just had a break-up, and they decide to take it out on each other while at work. The short film stars Francia Raisa and Danielle Savre as the two stand-ins, with Gigi Zumbado and Greer Grammer as the "real" actors. This is a fun look at what it's like on set making a sitcom TV show like this,...

A veritable army of Disney Channel stars are reuniting for a very un-Disney project.
Matthew Scott Montgomery (“So Random!”), Debby Ryan, Alyson Stoner, Kevin Chamberlin (“Jessie”), Tim Bagley, Shayne Topp (“So Random!”) and Damien Haas (“So Random!”) have all signed on to appear in an upcoming LGBTQ+ horror thriller directed by Allisyn Snyder.
Titled “Howdy, Neighbor!,” the upcoming film is written by Montgomery, and is formatted as a “screenlife” film, with all of the footage occurring on computer screens. Montgomery stars as Benjamin, a young queer millenial actor living in West Hollywood who was once a famous child actor. When a new neighbor Chase (Grant Jordan) moves across the hall and reveals himself as a fan, Benjamin begins investigating the oddly familiar man with his best friend Harley (Ryan). Aside from the former Disney Channel stars, the supporting cast also includes Sterling Sulieman, Adam Faison, Greer Grammer and Kimmy Shields.

A group of dissident French fugitives dodge goose-stepping Gestapo officers in a drama that loses its battle with cliches
There is the kernel of a good idea in this second world war drama: a Gestapo officer (Sebastian Roché) in occupied France is invited to a dinner at a Côte d’Azur villa where the serving staff are, unbeknown to him, the rebel radio broadcaster (Cary Elwes), dissidents and Jewish fugitives he has been hunting all along. Unfortunately, Matthew Hill and Landon Johnson’s timid film fails to fully capitalise on this uncomfortable scenario and misses opportunities elsewhere, instead going big on self-satisfied pieties about fighting the just fight.
Elwes’s Jacques is the gravelly voice of freedom in wartime Lyon, bidding insurgents over the airwaves to “stay safe” from his garret. But when his daughter Juliet (Greer Grammer) is almost caught filching a radio vacuum tube, she takes refuge in...

The film is loosely based on real events from the actual Deltopia, the annual unsanctioned street party held each spring in Isla Vista, Santa Barbara. In 2014, authorities arrested around 100 party-goers when the large event turned violent after one of the revellers was detained by police.

Dermot Mulroney is set to star in the upcoming indie thriller “Breakwater.”
The veteran actor, of “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and “August: Osage County” fame, will team with writer-director James Rowe on the feature.
“Breakwater” will see Mulroney star as prison inmate Ray Childress, who charges a just-released fellow prisoner with finding his daughter. The ex-con soon discovers the daughter’s past may be more dangerous than anything he’s faced in prison.
“Dangerous charmers are a fixture in Southern stories,” Rowe said in a statement, “and Ray is a man whose surface cool masks a desperate volatility. Dermot’s appeal and his expansive range, along with his willingness to defy expectations, make him the ideal choice for this guy driven by conflicting impulses.”
Loose Cannon Pictures is producing the project, led by Matt Paul (the SXSW selection “Violet”). Larry Hummel and Edward Winters of Winterstone Pictures will also produce.

"I thought we could use a little playtime." Dark Star Pictures is releasing this erotic thriller on VOD starting in June, and they've posted an official trailer to get a closer look. Deadly Illusions is the latest film from director Anna Elizabeth James, about a bestselling novelist suffering from writer's block. She hires a young new nanny for her children to help her work on her next book. Everything changes when Mary becomes spellbound by Grace who soon becomes her muse. As their relationship blossoms, the line between the life she's writing and the one she's living becomes blurred. The film stars Kristin Davis and Greer Grammer as Mary and Grace, along with Dermot Mulroney, Lora Martinez-Cunningham, and Shanola Hampton. This definitely does look like the epitome of an "erotic thriller" with some expected deadly twists, but not sure there's enough here to make this worthwhile. Here's the official trailer...

Netflix viewers have quickly realized that Deadly Illusions embraces the "less is more" motto to be "more tantalizing and intriguing than actual pornography," in the words of its writer and director Anna Elizabeth James. The mind twist that is Deadly Illusions centers on bestselling author Mary Morrison (Kristin Davis), who hires an innocent nanny, Grace (Greer Grammer), to take care of her two kids while she writes her next book. What follows is Mary's sexual fantasy (or is it reality?) of her love affair with Grace, who is hiding a rather startling secret. Anna and Greer spoke with E! News about the psycho-sexual thriller and answered all of...

To seriously consider “Roe v. Wade” — that is, writer-directors Cathy Allyn and Nick Loeb’s atrocious anti-abortion propaganda piece and not the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision in favor of abortion rights — it is helpful to remember a 2017 quote by journalist Chuck Todd. “Alternative facts are not facts. They’re falsehoods,” Todd succinctly said when confronting Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway on her use of the term. While the Trump era that Conway’s expression sums up is behind us, “Roe v. Wade” has reportedly been in the works for the past three years, so it’s fair to reflect on the baffling film as a product of that period, when right-wing fabrications were routinely presented as truth.

Fans have a lot of feelings about Kristin Davis' new Netflix thriller Deadly Illusions, and she completely understands where they're coming from. The new movie stars Kristin as Mary, a mother and bestselling novelist seeking a nanny for her young child. She thinks she's found the perfect woman for the job in Grace, played by Greer Grammer. However, soon after Grace arrives, the new nanny seduces Mary—as well as her husband, played by Dermot Mulroney. Red flag number one. Spoiler alert time: Eventually, Mary discovers Grace isn't who she says to be at all, and that she actually has dissociative identity disorder and acts out as "Margaret," her evil...

To judge by this weekend’s box office, Oscars mean little to the movie-loving public. The five available Best Picture contenders — “The Father,” “Minari,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Nomadland,” and “Promising Young Woman” — grossed in the range of $200,000-$300,000.
However, “Promising” also dropped from $19.99 to $5.99 on VOD one day after Academy announced its five nominations. It now ranks on every chart we list, including #1 on Apple TV. “Minari” also received increased attention, even at $19.99. Of note is its #5 placement at Spectrum Cable; not only do its customers tend to reflect mass-audience tastes, but the chart ranks by rentals, not price. That shows significant crossover interest.
“Nomadland” is available on Hulu and “Judas” is available at HBO Max (through March 28), so any Oscar impacts at home are unknown. “The Father” will be available on PVOD March 26.

Photo: ‘Deadly Illusions’/Netflix The thriller film genre is defined as “giving viewers heightened feelings of suspense, excitement, surprise, anticipation and anxiety.” Many times, thrillers use a character’s anxiety or deteriorating mental health as a means of creating tension and plot in the film. In the new Netflix film ‘Deadly Illusions’, writer/director Anna Elizabeth James does exactly that: makes mental health seem like an illusion; something that can be brushed under the rug once it no longer matters to the main character. Greer Grammer has been around the entertainment industry for her entire life. As the daughter of Kelsey Grammer, she got to have a very unique behind-the-scenes experience. Evntually, she decided that she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and get in front of the camera. That said, she was determined to build a career on her own without riding her father’s coat tails. For the last several years, she’s done exactly that. Since making her on screen debut in 2010 she has racked up nearly two dozen acting credits and the list just keeps growing. With some upcoming movie

It’s tricky deciding what kind of cheese “Deadly Illusions,” a diverting thriller starring Kristin Davis and Dermot Mulroney streaming on Netflix, is exactly. Soft and overripe, from the look of it. Which poses the question, when is its cheesiness intentional and when is it clumsy? From the movie’s nudging title sequence — with steady fretful music — to its final teasing scene, the movie appears to wink at the genre, but to what end? Think too hard about it and “Deadly Illusions,” written and directed by Anna Elizabeth James, may even prove vexing. What is it saying about class? About trauma? About how women — the characters but also the director — view each other?
But why trouble our pretty little heads with those quandaries when we could sit back deep into the couch and giggle at the story of Mary Morrison, her near-perfect family and the pert and innocent (or is she?...
