Marvel Studios has made yet another impressive addition to The Fantastic Four's cast, with Orange is the New Black and Russian Doll star Natasha Lyonne set to play a mystery character according to Deadline.
Yes, like Paul Walter-Hauser and John Malkovich before her, there's no word on who the actress will play in the MCU. Regardless, this is a huge get for Marvel Studios and, while there's no official word on Lyonne's role, we'd love to hear your suggestions in the comments section.
Lyonne landed an Emmy nomination for starring in Rian Johnson's Power Face and she's attacked to produce, write, and direct episodes of the upcoming second season.
Other credits include Taika Waititi's next movie, Klara and the Sun, as well as His Three Daughters alongside Elizabeth Olsen and the next Smurfs movie. Lyonne is also no stranger to superhero movies after previously playing Sommerfield, a member of the Nightstalkers,...

The cast of Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four is growing by the day! After announcing the additions of John Malkovich, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, and Ralph Ineson, Deadline says Poker Face and Russian Doll star Natasha Lyonne is joining the latest iteration of Marvel’s first family. Fantastic Four stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Susan Storm-Richards, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm. There is no indication if the Richards’ children, Valeria and Franklin, will appear in the film. The addition of Natasha Lyonne is already sending Fantastic Four fans into a tizzy with theories about who she could play in the film.
WandaVision director Matt Shakman is directing Fantastic Four from a script by Ric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Plot details are sparse, though we know Julia Garner is playing Shalla-Bal, a version of Silver Surfer from the comics.

The upcoming reboot of ‘The Fantastic Four’ is generating significant buzz as one of the most discussed projects in development. Intended to revitalize the previous ‘Fantastic Four’ franchise, which received mixed reviews at best, the film faces a challenging release amidst criticism of Marvel Studios’ recent underwhelming projects. This cycle has resulted in waning fan interest and Disney earning the unenviable title of the biggest box-office disappointment of 2023.
Paul Walter Hauser, recently cast in an undisclosed role for the film, spoke with Screen Rant about the ongoing development of the movie. He emphasized the meticulous attention being given to ensure its success, noting that there’s a lot at stake for the studio, as they can’t afford another major failure.

The upcoming ‘The Fantastic Four’ reboot is one of the most talked about projects currently in development. The movie is supposed to reboot the older ‘Fantastic Four’ franchise which was met with mixed reviews at best.
The movie is also being released in quite an uncomfortable time when Marvel Studios is under scrutiny due to releasing several sub-par projects in the last few years. A cycle that led to fans generally losing interest, and Disney breaking unflattering record as the biggest box-office loser of 2023.
Paul Walter Hauser, recently cast for the movie in an undisclosed role, talked to Screen Rant, and commented on the development of the movie so far, stating that extra care is being put in the movie, as it can’t fail. The studio cannot have another massive flop on its hands.

Last year, New Line Cinema went all-in on a partnership with Barbarian (watch it Here) writer/director Zach Cregger and the film’s producers at BoulderLight Pictures. New Line came out the winner in a bidding war over Cregger’s next film, a mysterious horror project called Weapons… which was, at one point, set to star Pedro Pascal of The Last of Us and Renate Reinsve of The Worst Person in the World. Pascal had to leave the project so he could star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe reboot of Fantastic Four instead – and even though that much larger production hasn’t started filming yet, as of right now it looks like Fantastic Four is going to beat Weapons to the screen by about six months! While that superhero movie is set to reach theatres on July 25, 2025, New Line has announced (via Deadline) that Weapons has been given a theatrical...

DC Studios is wasting no time in setting a release date for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow now that the movie has found its director.
The high-profile movie will fly into cinemas on June 26, 2026, DC and Warner Bros. announced Tuesday. It is the second film to receive a release date since James Gunn and Peter Safran were brought in to overhaul DC under the new banner DC Studios. The first was Superman, which Gunn is currently shooting for a July 2025 release date.
Flimmaker Craig Gillespie was tapped by Gunn and Safran to shepherd Supergirl, which stars Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon). She’ll play Superman’s Kara Zor-El, the cousin of Superman. The feature film, from a script by Ana Nogueira, is inspired by the Tom King and Bilquis Evely comic, and will depart from the earnest take on the character seen on the CW Supergirl series.

Cruella and Richard Jewell star Paul Walter Hauser is one of the most exciting additions to The Fantastic Four, but as we write this, there's still no word on who he's playing.
Mole Man is the most popular suggestion among comic book fans, though it's just as easy to imagine him voicing H.E.R.B.I.E., for example. Marvel's First Family has many allies and enemies on the page so Hauser could ultimately be portraying any number of characters in the upcoming reboot.
Talking to Screen Rant, Hauser broke his silence on joining The Fantastic Four and confirmed he's playing someone from the comics.
"[All] I can say is that I, in some iteration, am in the movie The Fantastic Four until I get fired or recast. So I can't say anything about the character I'm playing, but know that it is in the sort of lexicon and mythology of The Fantastic Four stories,...

The investigative journalism we see on TV is completely true — except for the parts that are completely made up. But how can we tell what’s real and what’s fabricated? Inventing Anna, the new Shondaland series on Netflix about Anna Delvey (Julia Garner), the Russian-born faux heiress who elegantly finessed banks, hotels and socialites out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, gives viewers lots of opportunities to ask this question. Based on Jessica Pressler’s 2018 New York magazine feature on Delvey, Inventing Anna closely follows reporter Vivian Kent (Anna Chlumsky), a fictionalized version of Pressler, as she attempts to connect Delvey’s dots — and make her deadline.
Inventing Anna is as much Vivian’s story as it is Anna’s — in certain respects, they’re both doing the titular inventing. Vivian’s obsession with telling Anna’s story isn’t totally selfless; she’s trying to redeem herself from a recent career setback,...

Money may talk, but real wealth whispers. And Anna Delvey’s constant name-drops? Those are more like screams into the void. In the new Shondaland drama Inventing Anna, Delvey — masterfully played by Julia Garner — is constantly mentioning famous people, places and, of course, fashion labels in the most ostentatious way possible. While her actual bank balance is a well-kept secret, Delvey makes sure the world knows that her parties are populated with real estate moguls and world-renowned artists, that she’s been to all the hottest new restaurants and that she only gets the most expensive designer pieces as gifts for her friends. In fact, Anna drops so many names, it’s hard not to trip — and to wonder just who all these people actually are.
To help you keep up with Anna and her inner circle, we’ve put together a comprehensive, chronological glossary of all these famous (and...

If Julia Garner’s accent in Inventing Anna sounds unusual to you — you’re not alone.
In the upcoming Shondaland Netflix series, the Ozark alum stars as the titular Anna Delvey, a charismatic entrepreneur or con artist (depending on who you ask) who convinces many of New York’s power players that she was a German heiress worthy of their financial support... to the tune of millions of dollars. Delvey’s accent — a hodgepodge of Russian, German and American inflections — is as complicated and muddled as her past.
“People are like, ‘This accent is crazy. Is this what she sounds like?’ They can't believe it,” Garner tells Tudum. “But at the same time, I want everybody to just Google how she sounds. I wouldn't allow myself to just go on screen and do a half accent. I’m a perfectionist.”
Garner says nailing Delvey's accent is the key to nailing the character.

If you're at all familiar with Marvel's First Family, then you'll know they've had to stop Galactus from consuming Earth on countless occasions. However, in Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four, it appears the World-Eater will have a very different reason for visiting the planet.
Undeterred by Disney and Marvel taking legal action to discover their identity, scooper @CanWeGetToast has shared a rumour today claiming that Galactus comes to Earth in search of Franklin Richards (who is reportedly "born in space").
The son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm, Franklin is an incredibly powerful mutant with the ability to create new realities and even rewrite his own.
He has a complicated history with Galactus which has included him actually taking the villain's place in the "Earth X" reality and making the big bad his Herald back on Earth-616 to fend off a Celestial attack. We don't know which comics The Fantastic Four is pulling inspiration from,...

Terrified, the Skrulls do everything they can to conceal their world from the Surfer's perceptions, for wherever the Silver Surfer appears, his master, 'Galactus', cannot be far behind.
"Back on Earth, the 'Fantastic Four' witness the entire skyline engulfed in flame. At the 'Baxter Building', 'Reed Richards' sequesters inside his lab analyzes the situation. After first being announced at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, The Fantastic Four is now just over a year away from arriving in theaters.
Marvel Studios has assembled one of its best casts to date for the reboot, making it clear they're taking Marvel's First Family seriously after 20th Century Fox's disappointing take on the team.
Now, in the wake of Disney CEO Bob Iger saying Marvel Studios will release only three movies a year moving forward, there are concerns The Fantastic Four could be delayed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, shooting will begin at the end of July. With a release date of July 25, 2025, Marvel Studios will have only a year to get this thing finished and in theaters. It's doable, but when each character requires a great deal of visual effects work, we can't help wondering whether The Fantastic Four could take Blade's spot in November.
This is just speculation,...

The idyllic countryside in the South of France is all that the veteran Oscar-nominee John Malkovich needs to be content in life. But Hollywood has other plans for the eccentric star, especially when it comes to Sony, Marvel, and Spider-Man. The interlinked fate of these 3 problematic entities has not only become a troublesome hurdle for the studios but poses a great risk to the future of the IP.
However, with the arrival of billion-dollar contracts and deafening audience excitement, Sony and Marvel signed a treatise to secure and exploit Spider-Man to their mutual benefit. MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy, Sony’s rebooted Spider-Man universe with Venom, Morbius, and Madame Web, and its animated Spider-Verse trilogy are a product of this shared dream.

Julia Garner is officially the new Silver Surfer. The Emmy-winning actress has been confirmed as Shalla-Bal, a different version of the popular character. Originally introduced in Silver Surfer #1 in August 1968, Shalla-Bal was the love interest of the original Silver Surfer, Norrin Radd. Despite being introduced over 50 years ago, her character has never been as relevant as Radd. Which is part of the big uproar over Marvel choosing to use Shalla-Bal over Radd. As of this writing, there’s no telling just how deep her role is. There are points when the Silver Surfer has been a hero, so

The upcoming reboot of Marvel’s The Fantastic Four has just added actor Ralph Ineson as one of the team’s iconic villains. The former Harry Potter and Game of Thrones star is set to play Galactus, a villain who is known as the eater of worlds. While many assume that Doctor Doom is the main villain, it appears that they are going in a different direction.
The last time Galactus appeared on film was in the 2007 film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, a sequel to the 2005 iteration of the team. In that version, Galactus was more of a shapeless entity instead of a planet-sized being like the Celestials.
Galactus being added to the film shouldn’t come as a surprise as it was revealed that Silver Surfer would appear in the film, but not without controversy, as it is a different version of the character and will be played by Julia Garner.

Before the official announcement, the cast of ‘The Fantastic Four’ reboot was widely speculated. Recently, it was confirmed that Pedro Pascal would play Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.
However, details about the villains and supporting characters were kept secret for a longer time. It was only recently disclosed that Julia Garner would portray MCU’s version of Silver Surfer, Shalla-Bal, with Ralph Ineson taking on the role of Galactus. Additionally, Paul Walter Hauser’s role remains undisclosed, and Deadline reported John Malkovich’s casting in a yet-to-be-revealed character.
We could endlessly ponder who he might portray, given the wealth of characters and villains in The Fantastic Four comics canon. Yet, considering prior rumors and leaks tied to the film, certain roles appear more plausible than others.

The cast of ‘The Fantastic Four’ reboot was pretty much known even before it was confirmed. Several weeks ago we got a confirmation that Pedro Pascal would be playing Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby would be playing Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn would be playing Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach would be portraying Ben Grimm aka The Thing.
The casting of the villains and supporting characters has been kept under wraps much longer, it was only recently confirmed that Julia Garner will be portraying MCU’s version of Silver Surfer, Shalla-Bal, with Ralph Ineson portraying Galactus. Paul Walter Hauser was cast in an undisclosed role and recently, Deadline reported that John Malkovich was likewise cast in a so-far secret role.
Now we can speculate forever on who he could be playing since The Fantastic Four canon is one of the richest in the comics, featuring plenty of supporting characters and notable villains.

The First Family of Marvel Comics has company. With a summer start date in London, “Fantastic Four,” the essential comic book IP which has yet to be integrated into the MCU, has announced new cast members that will join Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm (later Sue Storm-Richards), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (the Ever-Lovin’ Blue-Eyed Thing).
Giving them cosmic grief will be Ralph Ineson as Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds. Ineson has a slew of solid smaller roles in film and television—from “Game of Thrones” to “Peaky Blinders” to “Chernobyl,” and has worked with Mike Leigh in “Another Year,” Steven Spielberg in “Ready Player One,” Joel and Ethan Coen in “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,” and played the Death Eater Amycus Carrow in three “Harry Potter” films. He’s currently shooting Guillermo Del Toro’s “Frankenstein.”

Marvel Studios’ upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot stands out as one of the most anticipated projects in development. Not only will it revitalize the original movie series, but it will also bring Marvel’s first family into the MCU fold.
Official details about the film are scarce, with only the core cast confirmed. However, reactions to this cast have been widely varied. To navigate through the confirmed and rumored information and provide clarity, we’ve compiled this guide.
The setting of ‘The Fantastic Four’ will be an alternate reality
Rumors and artwork suggest that ‘Fantastic Four’ will unfold in an alternate retro-futuristic reality reminiscent of the 1960s. The team will already possess their powers and function as an established unit from the movie’s outset. It’s speculated that their initial adversary will be Mole Man.
Expectations are high for the inclusion of Franklin Richards and Valeria Richards in the film.

The upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot is easily one of the most exciting projects currently in development at Marvel Studios. The movie will not only reboot the original series of movies but also introduce Marvel’s first family to the MCU.
Not much is known about the movie through official means, except for the core cast, and this core cast has been met with vastly polarizing reactions. This is why we decided to put together this guide, to address both confirmed and rumored stuff and make sense of things.
‘The Fantastic Four’ will take place in an alternate reality
So far both the rumors and the artwork point in the direction of ‘Fantastic Four’ being set in alternate retro-futuristic reality in the 60′. Fantastic Four will already have their powers and be an established team at the start of the movie. Allegedly the first villain they will fight will be Mole Man.

Director Matt Shakman’s Fantastic Four movie adds John Malkovich and Ralph Ineson to its ensemble cast, with Ineson set to play Galactus.
Marvel Studios has announced two more names for its upcoming production of Fantastic Four.
The big news first: Ralph Ineson has joined the cast, and will play none other than Galactus – the mighty eater of worlds who has long been one of the Fantastic Four’s most implacable foes. Galactus did appear in 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer but oddly, that film featured him as an angry cloud rather than the towering humanoid form he possesses in the comic books.
We’re guessing that Marvel and Shakman are going to do a ‘proper Galactus’. Although Marvel hasn’t officially confirmed the casting yet (The Hollywood Reporter first broke the news), the thought of Ineson playing the destroyer of worlds is an intriguing one.

We finally have a face (and voice) for one of the biggest bad guys in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, as THR reports that Ralph Ineson will play Galactus the Devourer of Worlds in The Fantastic Four.
There had been rumblings that Javier Bardem was being eyed for the role of Galactus, but I’ve got to say that I’m more excited about Ralph Ineson tackling the role, particularly with his wonderful voice. The actor is always a highlight in everything I’ve seen him in, with fantastic roles in The Witch, The Green Knight, The Northman, and the recent First Omen movie. Eagle-eyed fans will know that Ineson has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before, playing a Ravager pilot in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Kang who? The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been searching for its next Thanos-level big bad for quite some time now and, while Plan A had to be thrown out the window following actor Jonathan Majors' allegations, Plan B appears to be rounding into form quite nicely. With Kevin Feige appearing to put all his eggs in the "Fantastic Four" basket, officially assembling a core cast made up of Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as Marvel's First Family, it was only a matter of time before word leaked out regarding which name-brand actor would step up to take on the physically imposing role of Galactus himself, the Devourer of Worlds.
That time has finally come, as first reported by The Hollywood Reporter. We now know that Ralph Ineson has answered the call to suit up as the Fantastic Four's biggest and baddest foe in the MCU reboot of the classic property.

Marvel Studios has found its big bad for The Fantastic Four, as Deadline has confirmed that Ralph Ineson (The First Omen) has been tapped for the role of Galactus.
News of his casting follows our break from earlier today concerning John Malkovich joining in a mystery role. As previously announced, the core cast includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing). The Fantastic Four, meet your villain.
Ralph Ineson, the British actor whose three-decade career ranges from the Harry Potter movies to recent horror prequel The First Omen, has landed the plum part of Galactus, the antagonist in Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four.

On the call sheet are Perdro Pascal as scientist Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as her hot-heated brother Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richards’ friend with body issues, Ben Grimm/The Thing. Also cast are Julia Garner as a female Silver Surfer and Paul Walter Hauser in an undisclosed role, which some have theorized could be Mole Man or the robot H.E.R.B.I.E.
