The Tea Party, the fiscally conservative movement that turned the House of Representatives over to the Republicans last November, has found itself in the eye of the debt crisis storm this week as Tea Party-backed legislators almost sank the House Speaker's own bill. On last night's O'Reilly Factor, Tea Party leader David Webb told host Laura Ingraham he was outraged his group was being labeled childish, as, in the debate, "we're the adults in the room" who Americans listen to.

I saw The Bourne Identity in theatres with my dad. He'd already read the original trilogy and was excited that they turned it into a movie. During the movie he turned to me and said, "This is nothing like the book, but I like it."
Being poor I was looking through my parents' books to find something to read for the Cannonball; lo and behold, I came across the original trilogy. I set those to the side and kept looking, when I came across The Bourne Legacy. What the fuck? Then Betrayal and Sanction popped up...then I got Deception. My intent was to read the entire series and then write a review not of just the individual books, but the series as a whole (I'm missing two...fucking Eric Van Lustbader). Why? Basically all of the stories are the same, Jason Bourne gets caught up in some crazy government shit,...

With the "Bourne" film series scribe Tony Gilroy taking over the directing reigns on the upcoming fourth film, it looked like Matt Damon was unlikely to return.
Now in an interview with Hollywood Elsewhere, Gilroy succinctly clears up some of the rumors and talks about what his plans are for the franchise.
First up the film's title will be "The Bourne Legacy", but "will not use the story" from the book ghostwritten under Robert Ludlum's name by Eric van Lustbader. Gilroy adds "it's a completely original screenplay".
This is not unexpected at all as only the first half of the first film in the series, "The Bourne Identity", bared any resemblance to the original book. The subsequent films similarly used the titles only and some of Bourne's personal backstory elements.
More interestingly while Damon is out, Gilroy specifically says this is Not a "reboot or a recast or a...

Deadline is reporting that Tony Gilroy, who wrote all three Bourne movies and directed the Oscar-nominated Michael Clayton and Duplicity, is in final negotiations to direct the fourth installment in the series, tentatively titled The Bourne Legacy. He began writing the screenplay in June. He is taking over from director Paul Greengrass, who himself took over from Doug Liman.
It is unknown whether Matt Damon will continue his successful run as Jason Bourne, this generation's answer to James Bond. The actor has stated that he would not return unless Greengrass did, and while the last film, Bourne Ultimatum did not kill the character, it did put a period on the arc set up in the first movie.
What Gilroy will do with the character is unknown at this time, but I have three suggestions on how he can continue this series without Damon:

Update: Its confimed that Jason Bourne will not return in 'The Bourne Legacy,' Tony Gilroy talked about the project stating the film will be a spin off in the Bourne world and will leave the door open for Matt Damon to return: He says the Universal release has taken the title from the Eric Van Lustbader book based on the series created by Robert Ludlum, but that they will not be using the story. "This is not a reboot or a recast or a prequel. No one's replacing Matt Damon. There will be a whole new hero, a whole new chapter...this is a stand-alone project," said Gilroy.
"The easiest way to think of it is an expansion or a reveal," Gilroy added. "Jason Bourne will not be in this film, but he's very much alive. What happened in the first three films is the trigger for what happens.

In part two of his conversation with Essence.com, Tea Party 365 co-founder David Webb says he's more concerned with President Obama's policies than with Obama himself. "He could have been Black, White, any color, I still didn't like his policies," he says. The conservative radio talk show host also touches on the passing of the Healthcare reform bill, which he describes as a "2000-page monstrosity..."Here's what you had to say: Pamela commented via Facebook: "It's a shame that we can't agree to disagree. I have to agree with the president because he's a Democrat or because he is Black?. Well, I don't. He is making big government bigger. E wrote: If White and Blacks were this critical about George Bush's presidency we wouldn't be in this mess."...

Conservative African-American radio talk show host David Webb is nothing if not provocative. On his daily show, Webb is more likely to discuss patriotism and politics with Fox News contributors than he is with members of the NAACP, which he recently condemned for practicing what he calls "selective racism." Webb is also the co-founder of the New York branch of the controversial Tea Party movement, the Tea Party 365. In a conversation with Essence.com Webb addresses the Tea Party's seemingly racist image, his charges against the NAACP and getting more people of color to join the Tea Party. Here's what you had to say: Rebecca commented via Facebook: "They should start that party and get a platform of solutions together that are not rooted in blaming everything on Barack Obama." Anonymous wrote: "Bottom line is selective racism needs to stop. It solves nothing."...

With yesterday's news that Tony Gilroy has been brought back to the Bourne franchise to write The Bourne Legacy, the question in the air was whether or not Matt Damon would return to the role. Last we heard from Damon he was saying he wouldn't return unless Supremacy and Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass also returned, and with Greengrass already saying he's out we have our conundrum. However, could it be for the best?
One super-spy that's never shied from being recast is James Bond and he seems to be doing just fine (it's MGM that's having the problems) and wasn't everyone talking about Bourne early on and how this character could be the next Bond? Now's the chance.
When we last left Jason Bourne he was flying off a building and swimming for safety. He's fully aware of his roots and with those that would cause him harm, for the most part,...

While we were doing the red carpet thing at last night’s premiere of Invictus, we cornered Matt Damon and demanded that he tell us just what the Heck is going on with Bourne IV, following Paul Greengrass’ recent departure. What he told us will rock you to your very core:“There’ll probably be a prequel of some kind with another actor and another director before we do another one,” he said, “just because I think we’re probably another five years away from doing it – we’ve got to get a script…”Ok, note the word ‘probably’. Could mean all kinds of things – that Damon is engaging in pure speculation, for one. But if anyone’s going to have the inside track on Universal’s plans for Bourne, it’s David Webb himself. So… does this mean that Universal has decided to – and here comes that dread word...
