Dustin Ferguson, director and creator of horror flicks and owner of cult-film status Old Skool Video rental store, has announced that Mark Patton, lauded as the first “male scream queen,” is continuing his return to acting as one of the stars of Ferguson's Amityville: Evil Never Dies.
The new film is a continuation of the “Amityville” horror series created by Ferguson and Mike Johnson. In their 2016 film "The Amityville Legacy,” a cursed antique toy monkey from the original DeFeo Amityville home, creates havoc and possesses a father after being gifted during an annual family reunion.
“Amityville: Evil Never Dies,” takes place one year after the events in "The Amityville Legacy." A young couple, played by Ben Gothier and Michelle Muir-Lewis, purchases the cursed toy monkey from the owner of a local antique shop, played by Patton. Unaware of the recent murders involving the toy, they bring it into their home,...

The film followed 3 young women who encounter car trouble on the way to a concert and are forced to go find help. However, they stumble upon a masked Maniac wielding a Meathook and all goes quickly sour. It became an instant cult classic after it was released on both VHS and VOD. Merchandise quickly followed: a comic book, a Nintendo game adaptation and even T-shirts.

There's hardly a musician on my favorites list (or yours, probably) who hasn't crossed paths at some point with industrial rocker, drummer, programmer and producer Chris Vrenna at some point. Whether it's Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, David Bowie, Rammstein, Rob Zombie, Metallica, Lords of Acid or dozens of others, Vrenna's distinctive style has played a massive role in shaping the dark side of multiple music genres over the past couple of decades. Aside from his association with all those iconic names, Chris has also nurtured his own sonic brainchild – an eerie gothic entity known as Tweaker. The project actually dates back to the late '90s, when Chris was still drummer for Nine Inch Nails, but Tweaker solidified as a touring group in the mid-2000s, when Vrenna was joined by guitarist/keyboardist Clint Walsh. After the release of their 2004 album 2 Am Wakeup Call, the band toured with...

One of the most crucial elements of paranormal investigator Zak Bagans' hit series Ghost Adventures (which kicked off its seventh season last month) is the study of Electronic Voice Phenomenon (Evp), in which Zak uses his patented SP7 “Spirit Box” to capture spirit voices from various locations throughout his travels... often with hair-raising results. For a prime example, check out this chilling excerpt, where the SP7 records a possibly evil force... Since so much of Zak's research involves the intense study of sounds and voices (including recorded conversations between himself and unseen entities), it was only a matter of time before a musical experiment would emerge from this treasure trove of audio material. Zak had previously contributed to the single “Paranormal Energy,” recorded by post-industrial music pioneer Praga Khan, who included the track on the latest album Deep Chills by famed electro band Lords of Acid. Their meeting seemed...

Zak Bagans, host of the popular paranormal series "Ghost Adventures," has joined forces with Lords of Acid's Praga Khan for one of the most intriguing music releases ever produced, NecroFusion, and we have another sample for you!
Bagans explains the story behind the song to our bros at Bloody Disgusting. “The spirit voices in this song were also captured in my home. On this particular night, I immediately grabbed the recording devices after a severe paranormal incident made a friend of mine leave my house. As I began rolling, I asked a series of questions with no response, but when I asked, 'Why are you following me?' a very dark voice came through confessing, 'I killed myself.' Intrigued I asked, 'What is your name?' …then a female voice very clearly told me 'Rhonda.' I then asked her if she messes with me in my sleep,...

Here we are. Finally at the conclusion of our in-depth interview with "Ghost Adventures" frontman Zak Bagans (read Part One here and read Part Two here). Closing things out, Zak talks about what's next for him, shares his dream investigations, and answers some of Your questions.
Having been to and investigated so many different haunted areas across the world, Zak waxed on about what would be his ultimate ghost adventure ... "I’d like to kind of get a break from American history and American spirits. Go deeper. I’m so interested in how certain cultures, thousands and thousands of years ago, had the beliefs that they did. How they were able to build the way they did. They lived on a different planet, man. They didn’t live on Earth. Or Earth as we perceive it today. As far as I’m concerned they were like different beings. They knew...

Now that every trailer for a 2011 theatrical release has become something of a retrospective, why not look back on all of them all at once?
The year-end mashups are just getting more and more impressive -- and epic! In this one, sights and sounds from every movie trailer released this year have been put together into one giant mega-super-trailer -- and one that runs just a little over five minutes, at that. Who knew that "Sucker Punch" contributed so many thematic images to the 2011 cinema experience? Or that "The Thing" contributed anything at all?
And isn't it awesome that it's all set to a Lords of Acid remix and a track from -- of all things -- the "Dragonheart" soundtrack? Now that's some true mashup mastery!
Just look at this thing -- you know you'd go see this movie(s). Thanks to one of our loyal readers for the heads-up...

We have shared a number of cool 2011 film mashups on the site. Here is a trailer mashup from SleepySkunk that gives us a look back at the various films from the year, highlighting some of the intense action sequences. The music used in the mashup is Lords of Acid and Randy Edelman's To The Stars from the Dragon Heart soundtrack.
Here is a description of the video:
The year in movies has stood out for two reasons in my humble opinion. First, it was a year that started with a "Summer Blockbuster" (The Green Hornet) and ended with one (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol). Studios realized that audiences love car chases and explosions on the big screen as much as butter on their popcorn and every single month in 2011 granted us with a surprising share of intense action.
Second, it was a year of looking back and respecting the...

If the mechs, samurai and cute girls in tiny skirts kicking all kinds of ass to the tune of Lords of Acid didn't rouse your interest in 'Sucker Punch's' trailer, then you aren't human. Perhaps a few words from director Zack Snyder and the gang will convince you of its merits. This new featurette reignites the high octane energy of Snyder's epic action-fantasy flick about a wildly imaginative girl who escapes her troubled reality by creating a universe that could be straight out of a videogame.
Snyder, producer Deborah Snyder, Scott Glenn and star Emily Browning make an appearance -- along with a few others -- to talk about the film's premise. Snyder says the movie is about "the lengths we're willing to go to in our minds to deal with a situation," and the situation for Browning's character, Babydoll,...

“Wait a minute, Dave's got a column?” This was the first thing out of my mouth when Kellvin asked me to tweet a link for him about two weeks back. “You know how long I've been asking for my own column? Almost ten years, back not long after this site started,” I continued. “So go ahead and do something,” Kel replied, “what's stopping you? Yeah, he was right. What was stopping me? El Mayimbe had a great Monday morning review column a few years back and George is always reliable to come up some great original pieces. I almost had to be hospitalized last week during my Las Vegas vacation from laughing so hard at his brilliant Chris Klein observations. And I thoroughly enjoy “6 Things With Da7e”.
