Kevin Hart is back with a thirst for fame in the official trailer for “Die Hart 2: Die Harter,” which the Roku Channel dropped today.
Hart plays a fictional version of himself in the comedy series, which follows his quest to become a renowned star of action films. When Season 2 kicks off, Hart is attempting to establish a reputation as the greatest action star of all time by developing an avant-garde unscripted feature. But his plans are soon foiled when an enemy from his past intervenes.
The new trailer previews what’s to come, along with a first look at series newcomer John Cena’s character. Cena plays a Hollywood stuntman who goes by the moniker “Mr. 206,” and is introduced to viewers holding a crossbow. Michael Shannon and John Leguizamo will reprise their roles from Paramount Network’s 2018 limited series “Waco” in “American Tragedies: Waco – The Trials,” MTV Entertainment Studios announced Monday. The follow-up series will explore the legal fallout after the tragic events that took place in Waco, Texas, in 1993.
Waco was the longest gun battle in U.S. law enforcement in history, as a small religious community known as the Branch Davidians led by David Koresh withstood a raid by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (Atf). Four Atf agents and six civilians were left dead and dozens more were wounded during the battle. A 51-day standoff ensued, and the conflict ended after an FBI assault led to a fire that engulfed the compound, killing 76 men, women and children.
Leguizamo received an Emmy nomination for his “Waco” role as Jacob Vasquez, an Atf agent who blows the whistle on the disastrous siege.

HBO has put in development Counterfeit, a half-hour comedy from husband-and-wife writing duo Andrew Gettens and Lauren Mackenzie (Hit & Run) and Jessica Rhoades’ (Sharp Objects) Pacesetter Productions, as part of Rhoades’ first-look deal with the premium cable network.
Written by Gettens and Mackenzie, Counterfeit centers on a couple, desperate to have a child, who learn there’s no way for them to conceive the old-fashioned way. And with no resources (and a loudly ticking biological clock) they start counterfeiting money to pay for IVF. Gettens & MacKenzie conceived of the idea for Counterfeit while going through their own struggles with IVF.
Gettens and Mackenzie will executive produce with Rhoades via her Pacesetter Prods.
Gettens and MacKenzie are a married writing team who started working together after collaborating on a best man speech for MacKenzie’s brother in 2014. They have since risen through the TV ranks to their current position as co-executive...

Elementary, Season 2: Episode 17 – “Ears to You”
Written by Lauren MacKenzie & Andrew Gettens
Directed by Seith Mann
Airs Thursday nights at 10 on CBS
After an unusually light episode by Elementary‘s standards last week, Lestrade sticks around a little while longer in “Ears to You” – an episode only mildly less light. If the tone is still a little bit jarring, the use of Sean Pertwee’s Lestrade is much more effective this time around, as he gets to bounce off Sherlock and Watson in both entertaining and interesting ways. Again, part of what makes Elementary stand out ahead of its procedural compatriots is how earnestly it focuses on its central two characters, bringing in other foils when relevant, such as Mycroft and Moriarty. Lestrade isn’t quite on that level, but he serves several functions in “Ears to You,” not least of which is unintentionally testing Sherlock’s sobriety by being drunk himself.
