- The group had eight hits in the Top 10. Between 1965 and 1969 they spent more weeks in the UK hit singles charts than any other band, even the Beatles.
- The original band was a group of friends from Wiltshire, UK. They were Dave Dee (Dave "Dee" Harman); Trevor Davies ("Dozy"); John Dymond ("Beaky"); Michael Wilson ("Mick") and Ian Amey ("Tich"). Later members included Anthony Carpenter and John Hatchman.
- They first charted in the UK in 1965 with "You Make It Move", which peaked at number 26. Two of their albums hit the charts - their eponymous debut album in 1966, and a year later, "If Music Be the Food of Love... Prepare for Indigestion".
