14 years ago, we were all shocked by the new take on Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories. Created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, it presented the new vision of our favorite detective and modernized the whole story of his exploits.

Amazon Prime Video has ordered a series based on Andy Lane’s “Young Sherlock Holmes” novels with Hero Fiennes Tiffin set for the lead role, Variety has learned.
Guy Ritchie is attached to direct and executive produce the eight-episode series. It will be a reunion for Ritchie and Tiffin, who recently worked together on the feature “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.” It is also the latest Sherlock Holmes project for Ritchie, as he previously directed two films about the famous detective starring Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes, Jude Law as Dr. Watson, and Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler.
“In ‘Young Sherlock’ we’re going to see an exhilarating new version of the detective everyone thinks they know in a way they’ve never imagined before,” said Ritchie. “We’re going to crack open this enigmatic character, find out what makes him tick, and learn how he becomes the genius we all love.

Harry Potter is undoubtedly one of the best books ever to be written and the best fantasy movies ever to have been made. Everything from the visuals to the storyline, the production beautifully captured the very essence of the books and literally brought magic to the big screen. While it was Jk Rowling and her touch that ultimately made the movies successful, it was also the persistence and determination of the young cast members that made the movies a beloved part of cinema today.

Severin Films Goes Goth On June 4th With Danza MacAbra Volume 3: The Spanish Gothic Collection: "Coming June 4th! Danza MacAbra Volume 3: The Spanish Gothic Collection is the latest in our acclaimed series of Gothic Horror Blu-ray box sets and the first to focus on Spain’s tradition of Gothic Horror, which – particularly during the Franco dictatorship – was characterized by daring concepts, lush visuals, extreme sexuality, and a startling aestheic all its own. These four classic shockers from the 1970s represent the genre at its most audacious: In Necrophagous, the debut feature by writer/director Miguel Madrid, a fractured family in a crumbling castle conceals a grisly graveyard secret. The anthology film Cake Of Blood – never previously available outside of Spain – presents a quartet of supernatural tales by four young filmmakers. Hammer Films director John Gilling brings his inimitable style to the occult thriller in Cross Of The Devil.

Once known as Dune: The Sisterhood, the Max streaming series Dune: Prophecy, which serves as a prequel to the Dune feature films directed by Denis Villeneuve, started filming in November of 2022, then underwent quite a shake-up in 2023 when the director of the first two episodes, Johan Renck (who executive produced and directed all five episodes of the HBO limited series Chernobyl) decided to leave the project over creative issues, then Shirley Henderson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) – who had been cast as one of the show’s lead characters – followed him out the door. Everything has been worked out since then, with Dune: Prophecy on track for a fall 2024 premiere. To start building the hype, Max just unveiled a teaser trailer for the show, and you can check it out in the embed above!

Five years after Max (then HBO Max) ordered a Dune prequel series, the streamer has shared a first-look teaser for the show, titled Dune: Prophecy. Slated for a fall premiere, the series’ first season consists of six episodes, which is on the low end for an original scripted series. Its teaser was unveiled during the Warner Bros. Discovery upfront presentation Wednesday by Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO, HBO and Max Content.
From the expansive universe of Dune, created by author Frank Herbert, and set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy (fka Dune: The Sisterhood) is inspired by the novel Sisterhood Of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. It follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.
“Sisterhood above all,” Emily Watson’s Valya Harkonnen says in the teaser.

When an estimated 1,000 international TV buyers descend on Los Angeles for the annual TV event known as the LA Screenings, they will see a contracted market still recovering from the twin Hollywood strikes of last year and, to a somewhat lesser extent, the pandemic.
It kicks off with the LA Screenings Independents, held May 15-17 for smaller studios and distributors at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel, which are then followed by screenings at the major studios’ respective lots across May 18-22 where they present their latest shows. They may also host a variety of events for their clients during those days, which may include cocktail receptions and luncheons or dinners with talent and executives.
While stalled projects ramped up as soon as the strikes ended, some delays were inevitable. “A couple of months ago I was wondering if we were going to be entertaining [buyers],” says Lisa Kramer, president, International Content Licensing,...

To be honest, the movie, Gadera, directed by Yogesh Vats, kind of felt like I was watching a school play where the characters tried too hard to be taken seriously with their dyed hair and costumes. The only good thing about the movie was the stunning landscape of the Himalayas and the Uttarakhand jungles. Although I’m not entirely sure if those scenes were taken off the internet or not. Anyway, the story is set in 1913, during the time when the British ruled over India. In the Uttarakhand region, which was divided into Garhwal and Kumaon, the villagers were basically puppets under the control of British officials. Then, they find this cursed gold coin, which leads them on this expedition into the forests, where all the officers are just greedy for finding treasure. But they forget that the real treasure is the forest itself. Cutting it down would have serious consequences for these people because,...

Dolly Parton’s family members did a great deal to champion her career. They helped her on her rise to success and supported her after she achieved success. Still, they grew accustomed to her stardom. Her aunt said that this led them to take her for granted.

Parton began performing in front of audiences as a child and started recording her music when she was still in school. By the 1970s, she was a star. Through her rise, her family members grew accustomed to knowing a famous musician. It no longer felt like a major deal to see her in concert.

The three Harry Potter actors, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, have become closest friends for more than 10 years of shooting together. It, undoubtedly, made the process of filming easier, as they didn’t need to outdo themselves to portray friendship among the trio and to find a necessary chemistry which was already present.
However, their closeness was a huge challenge when it came to the finale, which involved more love scenes than the previous, more childlike chapters. The same was with the Harry and Hermione kiss scene, which took place in the first Deathly Hallows movie.
In its climax, when Harry opens Slytherin’s locket, one of Lord Voldemort’s horcruxes, it begins to torture Ron by mocking his biggest fears. The main one is presented in the vision of Harry and Hermione telling him they would be better off without him, which is followed by a kiss of the two,...

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling's initial concerns about the trans community divided opinions but seemed to at least come from a place of concern. However, in the years that have followed, her comments have become increasingly controversial and led to fans and peers alike washing their hands of the writer.
Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson are among the Harry Potter stars who have made a point of disagreeing with Rowling while sharing their support for trans people. Recently, the author was asked if she'd forgive the duo should they make a public apology and whether they're safe in the knowledge she'd do so.
"Not safe, I'm afraid," Rowling responded. "Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women's hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single sex spaces.

CBS‘ fall 2024 lineup is going to be stacked. Joining the 18 returning shows in the fall on the network are new scripted dramas Matlock (starring Kathy Bates) and NCIS: Origins, comedies Poppa’s House (starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr.) and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage (starring Montana Jordan and Emily Osment), and competition show The Summit. Still to come in the midseason are new drama Watson (starring Morris Chestnut), The Amazing Race, and Hollywood Squares with Drew Barrymore as the Center Square in January as part of the new “Game Show Wednesdays” with The Price Is Right at Night and Raid the Cage. As Harry Potter’s story mostly has to deal with serious and dark matters — sometimes even too serious for a school pupil and his friends, even if they’re all wizards — some particular scenes that unite the characters at joyful moments may have brought joy to the actors as well. Though it doesn’t seem like all episodes like this were fun for absolutely everyone.
As it turned out, Emma Watson, who portrayed Hermione Granger in all the films of the famous franchise, found it very hard personally to film the scene of the Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Why Is the Yule Ball Scene So Iconic?
The ball itself reunites the Hogwarts’ wizards with other magicians from different magic schools and takes place in Hogwarts ahead of the Triwizard Tournament which, unexpectedly for all, made Harry Potter its competitor.

J.K. Rowling is an author who has made several generations happy with her Harry Potter series, but in recent years, the Scottish author is better known for her anti-trans feuds with basically everyone than for her works. Not that long ago, we reported about her feud with former Harry Potter stars, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, whom Rowling attacked for not sharing her opinion and openly criticizing her views. But, it seems that the feud is not over. It definitely isn’t for Rowling, but former Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe also had something to say recently about this whole controversy.
Before we continue, here is a quick summary of the issue. Rowling has been quite open about her opposition to the transgender movement, criticizing some of its postulates as degrading toward actual women. While the author has been criticized for her opinions, she remains firm in stating that she...

If you read the headline and are asking yourselves, pilots? what pilots? — you are not wrong. It’s been largely a 2024 pilot season without pilots. A grand total of maybe one of them is expected to factor into any fall decisions as the broadcast networks prepare to unveil their schedules, starting with CBS tomorrow, May 2.
Needless to say, the broadcast pilot season is no longer the industry obsession it once was this time of year, with back-to-back disruptions from the pandemic and the dual Hollywood strikes providing the proverbial final nail in the coffin of the decades-old pilot cycle. But for tradition’s sake, here are some insights into the networks’ current development plans.
There is no more stacked lineup for next season than CBS’ with three new drama series, Young Gibbs prequel NCIS: Origins; Matlock, starring Kathy Bates; and Watson, headlined by Morris Chestnut; and two new comedies, Poppa’s House,...

The global Harry Potter community had long been celebrated as a place of companionship and inclusivity. But the community’s reputation took a severe hit in recent years, ever since Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling came out with statements that are seen as transphobic. This led to a fission within the fandom, as people in the Harry Potter Community took sides on the issue for or against Rowling.
As the person who portrayed Harry Potter in the movies, Daniel Radcliffe was caught in the middle of the discourse. The actor came out with a clear stance, expressing his support for the transgender community and condemning alleged transphobic remarks by Rowling. Now, Radcliffe has revealed that while his stance has heavily strained his relationship with J.K. Rowling, he has no intention of backing down from his statements.

The blockbuster movies also made Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson huge stars and gave them their first foothold into the industry.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling called out Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson for “[using] their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors.”
On Wednesday, when a social media user wrote to Rowling, “Just waiting for Dan and Emma to give you a very public apology … safe in the knowledge that you will forgive them” for their previous support of trans rights, Rowling responded, “Not safe, I’m afraid.”
She wrote, “Celebs who cozied up to a movement intent on eroding women’s hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatized detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single-sex spaces.”
Neither Radcliffe nor Watson ever asked or implied a need for Rowling’s forgiveness.

J.K. Rowling suggests she will not forgive her Harry Potter stars for going against her views on trans rights in the wake of a new report criticizing current gender care treatments for young people.
On Wednesday, the BBC reported on a four-year review investigating gender care commissioned by the NHS. The report concluded that gender services were based on “remarkably weak” evidence and that children had been “let down” by medical professionals. “The reality is we have no good evidence on the long-term outcomes of interventions [such as puberty blockers] to manage gender-related distress,” wrote pediatrician Dr. Hilary Cass. “It is unusual for us to give a potentially life-changing treatment to young people and not know what happens to them in adulthood.”
Rowling, who has drawn considerable fire in recent years for her outspoken and staunch social media campaign against certain aspects of the trans rights movement, issued several comments about the report on X.

“Harry Potter” author Jk Rowling’s long-running campaign against trans rights took an unexpected turn on Wednesday, as the billionaire blasted Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson for their support of trans people.
Rowling accused them of being part of a movement that is “eroding women’s hard-won rights,” said they “cheered on” gender treatment for minors (which she opposes), and said they “can save their apologies,” should they attempt to make any.
It’s a complicated situation but briefly, what set this in motion was the publication of a study in the United Kingdom this week, known as the Cass Review, which examined how gender-related medicine is applied to children. The study claims that the science behind gender medicine as it applies to younger people is on “shaky foundations.”
The study doesn’t recommend against treating children with gender dysmorphia on principle, but said there is a lack of good data backing up current protocols.

The years-long war of words between Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling and supporters of transgender rights heated up again today with the release of an independent review of gender identity services for children and young people delivered by Britain’s National Health Service. The four-year review was commissioned by the NHS and conducted by Dr. Hilary Cass, a pediatrician who was asked to make recommendations for improving those services.
In the report, Cass maintains that health care providers and patients “have no good evidence on the long-term outcomes of interventions to manage gender-related distress.” For a fuller explanation of the report, you can read the BBC’s coverage here.
Rowling today issued a series of tweets about the report. The author said she was “bloody angry,” and claimed that “thousands are complicit, not just medics, but the celebrity mouthpieces, unquestioning media and cynical corporations.”

Sean Diddy Combs Back At His Miami Mansion, Roams Shirtless While Taking A Drag. (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Sean Diddy Combs has kept social media busy in the last few months, especially since Monday after the house raids. The raids took place in connection to the s*x trafficking complaints against him. However, it seems Puff Daddy is very casual about it, probably because he has complete faith in his lawyers. Keep scrolling for more.
Diddy has been accused of sexual assault and s*x trafficking charges by his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura in November last year and by his former employee, Rodney Jones, who is now a music producer. Following the raids, old videos of Puff Daddy with Justin Bieber resurfaced, which allegedly made the netizens cringe. The court documents revealed a few names of his associates, including Prince Harry. However, the British Royal’s name has not yet been linked with anything controversial.

Universal International Studios has jumped back into the UK books market for another TV development.
In another “highly competitive situation,” the Universal Studio Group subsidiary has acquired rights to develop British author Christie Watson’s novel Moral Injuries as a television series.
Parent Usg was instrumental in securing the rights, just as it was when Uis swooped to buy adaptation rights to Lucy Foley’s upcoming book The Midnight Feast, as we reported on Friday.
Set in the UK, the series will be produced by Uis, with execs from ITV Studios-owned Monumental Television attached as executive producer. Alison Owen, Debra Hayward and Katie Kelly will serve as executive producers for Monumental, working in partnership with the Global Scripted Series team at Uis.
Psychological thriller Moral Injuries was released in the UK on March 14. Logline for the books bills it as a “glossy thriller that follows three best friends since...
