Lara Larkin is a writer and producer based in Los Angeles.
She began her career at Silver Pictures in feature production and development. Under the company's Executive Vice President, Susan Downey, she worked on projects including Sherlock Holmes, Book of Eli, Rocknrolla and Orphan.
Larkin's success at Silver Pictures led to her being promoted to Book Executive, where she was in charge of seeking out viable literary properties for television and film adaptation.
In 2009, Larkin became an independent producer after setting up the young adult book series "Sweep" at Universal Pictures through Vince Vaughn's Wild West Picture Show Productions.
That same year, her script HANK'S RV was optioned by Funk Entertainment and Fedora Films, with Jennifer Love Hewitt attached to produce and co-star.
In 2016, her script FANGIRLS landed on The Hit List, after being voted as one of the best spec scripts of the year by industry professionals.
Larkin graduated from Chapman University with a degree in film production.
